Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked for 2 nights and when we went to check in ,the" check in lady "said since we booked through Hilton Honors that they could not cancel our 2nd night. She was very rude and not understanding. It was like $266 a night . She said I had to cancel by calling HiIton Honors . When I got to my room I called HH and I got a VA in India who could not help me since they were on a holiday over there. This took an hour of my time. The next morning we did talk to the manager of this hotel and she said no problem if we were checking out early they would refund the second night. They did give us credit. There is mexican right down the road , please share a meal ... big portions !!!!

Hotel's Favourite
We enjoyed our two night stay during the week so that we could visit the Ark Encounter. The room was clean and very modern since it is a new hotel. Breakfast was busy but there was a good selection of food and it was very clean. The hotel is very convenient to the ark as it is right next door but you do have to go back to the highway to enter the ark parking lot. Employees were friendly at the front desk. Very nice visit.

My main complaint for this hotel is the cost! It cost us over $300 per night for a very "ordinary" hotel. The room was clean, but maid service has to be requested every day if you want it. There is a sliding door for the bathroom that provides very little privacy and no sound dampening, so make sure everyone staying in your room is very close! The "free" breakfast was honestly pretty awful. Mostly ate fruit and peanut butter - hard to mess those up. The final insult was the $5 / day "parking fee" for a hotel that is almost literally in the middle of nowhere. We enjoyed the Ark encounter, but if we come back, we will get a hotel a little farther away, and hopefully a lot cheaper!

We checked in just fine but had trouble regulating the heat. Finally felt it would be fine. At 2:45 a m. it started banging and rattling. Thermostat wouldn’t work and it was now 65 degrees. Called the desk which didn’t answer until the second time. They said they would have to contact their manager since we booked through a third party but she didn’t want us to stay in a room with no heat. At 3:30 she just gave us a key to the room next door. We could still hear our old heater and the new room heat woke us up at 5. I know it’s only nine months old but really!! Didn’t give us a discount or anything. Very poor on their part.

Except for one of the front desk staff member, all the others were very unfriendly. Also, since we travel with medicine, this is the first Hampton Inn that we have visited that couldn't/wouldn't store freezer packs in the kitchen freezer for our travel cooler. Told us that because of problems in the past, that the kitchen was locked up. The room refrigerator didn't have a freezer in the mini fridge which would have been great but it was just a regular fridge.

This hotel is right next to the Ark Encounter & located in a quiet area. The main issue we encountered during our entire 2 week road trip was empty bottles of shampoo & body wash. I appreciate that Hampton wants to “go green” but at least train the staff to refill the bottles. Overall, this is a great hotel. Very clean, the pool was great & the staff was kid friendly with activities like coloring pages, crayons & even a fun box with small pool items. It did get crowded during breakfast. The “business center” is a printer just off the breakfast area.

Beware of price changes from Monday to Wednesday as they did not honor the reservation quoted. I was over charged nearly $80! When I complained they were very dismissive! BEWARE! The Hotel itself is nice and clean. It's a shame that they overcharge you based on how may people are there? We will not stay at a Hampton again!

My husband and I visited the ark a year prior and saw this hotel being built. We were excited that we would be able to stay at this hotel when called there for business. We stayed at America’s Best previously. I thought about staying there (although old we had a great view of the ark) but certainly the new hotel would be better right? Umm not! Waaayy overpriced for a non experience and “basic” hotel. The only thing that made it different is the location. Although new and modern some old things need to be included…it had no clock or full length mirror. Another issue was the light by the door was connected to the bathroom light (!?) so when my husband turned out the light image my surprise as I was in the bathroom! Unless you have hundreds of dollars to waste stay somewhere else!

Stayed here in August 2023 while visiting The Ark Encounter. Brand new hotel. Very nice accommodations. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are nicely, minimally furnished and accessorized. The tv can be operated via the Hilton app, which was high tech. Microwave, fridge in room. The Ark Encounter can be accessed via a connecting gate from the hotel. It is a bit distance to walk to the venue, but nothing undoable. Tasty breakfast each morning and a 24/7 coffee station in the lobby. Only cons were: shower gel container was empty upon taking a shower (staff replaced it the next morning; facial tissue box was nearly empty with no replacement in room). I think the housekeeping staff is probably still getting the routine down. They were extremely nice about replacing everything. A great place to stay!

Room Tip: Plenty of free parking. Use the connecting gate to walk to the Encounter rather than driving.

It is always pleasant to experience a new hotel! Despite the fact it was sold out on a Friday evening, we were surprised on Friday evening that the hotel was extremely quiet! The second night our family members in another room were awakened by guests who chose to talk outside their hotel room at 3 a.m.; however, they also commented, and we agreed, that the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the location gave us the ability to walk to the Ark rather than drive.
