Full disclosure, this is owned by a friend of mine. However, when I first visited after she finished renovations, I was charmed to my toes. The property is gorgeous and peaceful. Turn in any direction and all you see is nature, tabacco or horse/sheep barns. Evenings there is a patio with a fire pit and chairs with blankets in case it is cool (I drank coffee there every morning). The owner, Pat, is a down-to-earth, sweet woman. Be ready for homemade french toast casserole straight from the wood fired stove. The girl can cook! She is ready to oblige a marshmallow toast fest or wine by the fire. The house is charming with huge windows to enjoy the view. The first morning I was in the shower when I looked up and a deer was standing outside the bathroom window...no worries, no one can see in as there nothing but pastures surrounding it. My bloodpressure drops every time I am lucky enough to visit. Do yourself a favor and stay here. Oh, and you can also board your horse if you are traveling with equines.
