My wife & I stayed for two nights at Te Arai Lodge to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. From the time of our arrival to the day of our (reluctant) departure, the overall experience was exceptional. The Moores family couldn’t have been more hospitable and their combined passion for ensuring guests enjoyed every aspect of their stay at Te Arai Lodge was evident in abundance. The setting for the lodge is idyllic, the accommodation superb and the dining experience exemplary. We’d like to extend our gratitude to Vince, Kathy, Nicola & Doug Moores & their team for making our special celebration all the more memorable for having spent it at Te Arai Lodge. Last minute decision for just a night away that felt like a long weekend. Great location and property. Relaxed service style yet high quality. Well done what a great product we'll be back. Feels like a million miles from Auckland but a hop skip and a jump. Super boutique which just increased the luxury.

The most wonderful Oasis barely 1.5 hours from Auckland. The Moores Family were the nicest, warmest and attentive Hosts we have ever met. The attention to detail to make our stay comfortable were amazing. From a choice of linen or towelling robes and even a Beach Basket with Towels, Rubber Beach Shoes, drink bottles and a Beach Umbrella! Our room was perfect! and the Lodge Building Magnificent! The Pool is perfect and inviting. The Gardens are wonderful as well. The Food is on another level! Watching Native Birds and Butterflies was another treat. I have never seen such huge Wood Pigeons soaring in the Air Currents like hawks do. The package is complete with Little Lottie the Lodge Dog who is adorable! It is a small boutique Lodge. It was so wonderful to see a Family all working so seamlessly together to provide such an amazing experience for Guests. I can't wait to return.…
