We stayed at this Hotel to be close to the Ark Encounter. We were offered a discount from the ark to book select hotels. The rate was pretty standard, but the hotel was not. The hallways hadn’t been updated in what looked like 15 to 20 years. The room was spacious enough for 4 and mostly clean, but we had a broken window on the 3rd floor that didn’t close all the way or lock. ( on the 3rd floor) When we arrived the room was stuffy and the AC wasn’t plugged in. It took 3 1/2 hours for room to cool off. The bathroom was standard size with a rain head shower head and good water pressure. The elevator had broken tiles and old paneling. The hotel just needs a face lift and some repairs. The staff was friendly and my check in was quickly processed. Overall, its close the the ark, but nothing special

We did not have reservations for a room. We checked w/several hotels to no avail. The desk clerk @ Hampton Inn actually suggested we try Quality Inn.
Although this hotel is dated and needs some refreshing, we found it to be clean, comfortable bed, staff friendly.
Breakfast was made available even w/COVID problem. Food was placed on plates by servers w/mask and gloves. There was a nice variety of breakfast food. Social distancing and mask, sanitizers available and food service was very organized. Trays were provided for food to be eaten in room.
Price was reasonable, but maybe a little overpriced, But so convenient to the ARK ENCOUNTER.
Rated it a 4 only because the hotel needs a FACELIFT. Carpet, elevator floors and more modern TV’s.

This appears to be a very well run hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was better then most places. Each morning, we saw the owner there helping to keep the dining area clean and the food stocked. This is a very popular place for people who are visiting the Ark to stay at. This is our second time being here and have enjoyed it.

Hotel's Favourite
We detoured on the way to Florida for a month. We wanted to see the Ark Encounter so we stayed at the Quality Inn in Dry Ridge. We stayed two nights and were very pleased with the stay. Our little dog was welcomed as well. We definitely will stay here again if in the area.

excellent hotel in multiple ways. Carla who is the check-in clerk was wonderfully helpful and friendly. The room was probably the best room i have ever stayed in, with a long bathroom counter to set your toiletries out, high toilet, strong shower. The TV was directv with many channels. the breakfast included eggs, sausage, waffles, and bagels, pastries, etc. there was a hot coffee pot at night to sits in the dining room and chat with. the bed was confortable and a great location from the Ark Encounter, only 8 minutes away. the price was the best around the whole area close to the Ark. Highly recommend.

We've stayed at both the Comfort Suites and the Quality Inn in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. The Comfort Suites is nice and new, but we were pleasantly surprised with the Quality Inn. The Quality Inn was about one half of the price of the Comfort Suites and was 80%-90% as good. They allow pets, the rooms are spacious, the bed was firm and comfortable and the breakfast was above average. The breakfast included sausage and scrambled eggs, bagels and cream cheese and all the other usual offerings. The Quality Inn was also very quiet. We travel through here once every year and will stay here again.

The place was very dingy and very poor lighting in the rooms. Very old! Carpeting in room and hallways was worn and very dirty. Our room of two beds had huge stains on the comforters. I showed the gal upon checkout the pictures I took of the bedding and only received a total of 20 dollars off the two night stay! The shower curtain would not stay shut either and kept sliding open.

Two couples traveling to the Ark Encounter during the Covid 19 lull. This property was an excellent choice, Comfortable, clean, visibly sanitized. We arrived a bit early and the rooms were ready except for putting linens on the beds. They let us put our luggage in the rooms and we left to eat and then go on the the Ark Encounter. When we returned everything was as it should be. We all got a good night's rest. The staff was very pleasant. For breakfast, a staff member was making and serving pancakes for us to take to our rooms if we desired. We chose to check out and get on the road instead. But people stood in a small line. The dining area was closed off for seating. However the coffee was open for self serve for those who wanted coffee. The couple traveling with us opened their non smoking room and it was full of recent cigarette smoke...HOWEVER when front desk was informed they immediately moved them to a different room and opened windows and applied fans to air out the offensive room.

The facility was very clean and even with Covid they are still serving breakfast. You tell the employee what you want and she gladly puts it on a tray for you to take back to your room. What a great idea. Everything was very clean.

Stayed one night after visiting Ark Encounter, there is an awful mildew musty smell through this hotel, our room had the same smell, the air conditioner thermostat did not work correctly, you was either hot or freezing. Tv remote did not work half the time, no exhaust fan in bathroom, we had leak in bathroom with water all over floor and the toilet would not flush. Curtains were nasty and we had to fix it to keep them closed. Did not eat breakfast because they were not allowing people in dining room due to covid-19 and menu was limited. There were several restaurants nearby. The front desk guy was nice and did get the bathroom fixed while we went to eat. Would not stay here again.
