Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Booked this motel for two nights. There was only one small piece of soap on the bathroom counter for the two of us. My husband asked the man at the front desk for an extra piece of soap so we could have it for a shower, but were told "that's all any motel will give you" and they wouldn't give us another. We asked for a couple of hangers to hang our clothes and again were refused. The phone in the room didn't work. All night long, the pipes rattled and it was the worst night ever. The room smelled of smoke altho' we had been assured it was a smoke free room. We cancelled our second night and decided to come home early. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I felt uneasy staying there. I would sleep in my car before sleeping there again.

We got the last room available. For us $85 was overpriced. $50 would be reasonable. Our non-smoking room smelled of smoke. Mattresses were very old, uncomfortable and “crunchy.” Hard to sleep on. Pillows were fine. A/C worked great. Old, box style TV worked fine. Bath towels were old, scratchy and small; about 16”x32.” There was a loud pipe clunking sound every few minutes all night long. Room could use some updating. It would also be nice to have a coffee pot in the room.

Better inside than it looks outside. Looked like this little motel is having some upgrading and my room just got a new carpet. It has refrigerator and microwave. You can also make your own coffee in the room. Only 5 miles, 10 minutes, to Art Encounter, Super Walmart right behind, restaurants and shops within walking distance. Great location.

All we wanted was a smoking room and a good nights sleep. We got the smoking room. The room was disgusting! There was no iron, no coffee maker, no tissues, no extra toilet paper, no phone to call the front desk . The sheets were dirty. The a/c was so dusty you could hardly see it. The door was not as secure as we would have preferred. There was noise all the time. Loud music and loud arguments. At one point during the night someone started pounding on a room door (not ours) and continued to pound and yell-Let me in! This went on for over an hour. Then in the morning (6:30am) it started again with-It's time to get up. The tub and shower were so dirty we never thought to take a shower. The internet wasn't working when we checked in and I had ventured outside to ask the front desk for help. She was very friendly and tried to help. That was the only nice thing about this place! We found a receipt under the bed from the night before and it was for less than we had paid for the same room. We should have left but we were exhausted and thought we could handle the dirt for just one night-but the noise kept us from getting any sleep.

When I pulled in I saw sheets up on some windows, broken riding toys out front and what looked like a broken part of a handicap scooter. There is only a Motel sign it doesn't identifiy as the Dry Ridge Inn. The place is run down. When I saw it I tried to Canx because of the condition, but they would charge me anyway. I called Expedia and they were of no help, and hung up when I said I was going to write a bad review.

Nothing to write home about, but we just wanted a place to lay our heads for the night. The rooms were sparsely furnished, and there was a slight tobacco odor in our non-smoking room. (That happens a lot, we noted.) This place gave us that, but not much more...

I would compare this place to the Walnut Lane Motel in Branson, MO. Check-in was interesting with the guy having his shirt off, but he was friendly. The room looked a little run-down, yet looked quite decent with a window unit (the window unit worked okay). The beds were great, and the sleep quality was good. Internet was decent as well. The location in relation to Kings Island was good even though it is less than an hour drive, yet it is a great alternative to Cincinnati as far as being peaceful and safe. This place was far better than the no service I received at the Sunrise Inn in Williamstown. For the value that you paid for, this motel is great.

The man at the front desk would not take my coupon and argued with me. I walked out and my bf had to go in and pay. The room was small and smelled.. The air conditioner was a window unit that looked like it was about to fall out of the window. The carpet was dirty and the bed looked like it had been slept in a lazily re made.
