Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Do not go here. No rest due to loud trains running all night and no mention of this on description. No rest...no one at the office to help..we left early. Do NOT recommend this place at all! Worst experience we have had! Why would anyone want to stay at a place that sounds like a train is coming trough your rv every 30 minutes and all night long.

Had a reservation we had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. No refund but immediately sent us a cancellation notice. Asked if the spot filled if I could at least get half my money back. Seemed fair. Absolutely not!!! Bad people without a heart. With over a week’s notice they should be able to fill that spot and if not I’m fine paying the full amount.

The campground itself was nice and well maintained. The couple of interactions we had with the staff were pleasant. We had a lovely stay. However, know that there is NO pool. We missed this (what campground doesn’t have a pool). My grandchild were so terribly disappointed. The campground is located between I75 and railroad. We were located in the railway side and I was rather glad. Because that trains rain mostly evenings and through the night (they do blew the whistle each time) but on the highway side the sound of traffic was constant and would make conversing outside difficult or a least feel like your were talking loudly to each other. They did have a nice playground for the kids. And had movie night with free pizza and s’mores on Saturday night. The pool was a big issue though.

Close Encounter
We chose this Campground due to its closeness to the ark encounter and the creation museum
Clean well kept campground Clean bathrooms laundry Beautiful playground for kids
Sites are a bit close together 80 sites total
A train track just the other side of Hwy 25 from the campground that runs quite regular w/loud whistle blowing
Hwy 25 entrance can be a bit dangerous as there’s a blind spot so be careful exiting and entering
Office personnel off on We’d and Thursdays but maintenance ppl available to lead you in and help
Real cute Halloween decorations A bit tricky if you’re on a walker as mostly Gravel in roadway and sites
Washers dryers are $1.75 Cc use only

There is a reason why this campground mandates a minimum of a 4 night stay with absolutely no refunds for any reason. Freight trains run throughout the night, blowing their loud horns as they pass directly across the street from the campground. Not only is it incredibly nosiy throughout the night, you can literally feel the trains rumble by.
