The main entrance wasn’t identified so I am not sure that we entered through the correct door but we saw that the front desk was directly in front of us so we proceeded. We actually entered through the door for the dining area and breakfast nook. On that note, if breakfast is an important item for your stay be sure to be in line before 8am. There were a lot of families and kids wanting to use the waffle maker which made for a slow line. We arrived before the rush, thankfully. Muffins, sausage, oatmeal, yogurt were all available options. We stayed on the 4th floor and only heard a few load door slams but nothing disturbed us during sleeping hours. Our room was clean and the bedding was fine. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were all in dispensers attached to the shower wall. This hotel is only 5 minutes from the Ark Encounter in Williamstown so it was convenient for us. Cracker Barrel, Big Boy and Walmart are in Dry Ridge if interested. We had hoped to eat at “Beans” which is a local restaurant but they were closed for a couple of days around Christmas. We would stay at this hotel again if in the area.

On the positive, the breakfast was wonderful and the people serving it were very accommodating and cheerful - that was so nice! We had asked for room service, though, to just clean up a bit , get fresh towel, empty trash, etc., but did not receive this in the four days we were there even though we requested it. We've have much better stays at other Hampton Hotels.

Best breakfast attendant in the world at this hotel! Seriously...she, alone, was so good and so special, that we would seek out this hotel because of her. On other topics: we appreciated the complimentary bottles of cold water upon request. The bathroom could use an exhaust fan, including for shower moisture. And there was no safe in the room. It's a small hotel, with a small parking lot, and a too-small of a breakfast eating area (get there early), but that breakfast attendant...I just can't say enough about how special she was...kind, gentle, and genuinely cared that we were all well-served and happy and satisfied.

I recently stayed at a hotel located about 12 minutes from the Ark, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly, with Piper at the front desk standing out for her helpfulness and warm demeanor.

The pool area was nice, although I was disappointed to find that the accessibility lift was not functioning during our stay. However, I was pleased to see that the handicap rooms were spacious enough to accommodate a wheelchair, and the bathroom was well-designed to meet our group’s needs.

The hotel’s location is a plus, conveniently situated near Walmart and various dining options. This made it easy to stock up on supplies and enjoy meals out without much hassle.

I would recommend this hotel for its friendly service and accessibility features, though I hope they can address the lift issue soon.

The name Hampton Inn brings to mind a certain quality and standards that this hotel does not rise to. The outside is nice and the lobby and breakfast area were well kept and gave a good first impression, but that is where it stopped. One of the two elevators were out, but was fixed by our 2nd evening.
The room was dark, dingy, and dirty, but not a dirty that could have been cleaned. It just needs a good update especially if you are going to charge upwards of $200/night. We could have made a short drive to Cincinnati and spent $200/night at a hotel that deserved $200/night.
Daily room clean up is no longer a given and has to be requested. Shower/Bathtub was slow to drain and never completely drained after a shower. The bed was hard, but the sheets were soft.
The breakfast staff was definitely the highlight of the stay. Those ladies were so cheerful they almost made you forget how bad your room was and the food was some of the better continental style we have had.
This is a $125/night hotel, at best!

Horrible service!!!! I made my reservation through booking.com as I was on my way to Indiana. In the middle of a winter storm. When we arrived at hotel Patricia FD agent stated she had an issue finding a room took my card for incidentals and all but shortly after stated she was over booked. Got on the phone with her GM and mentioned she had 8 reservations assigned but no available rooms. She kept repeating that she was overbooked. As a “guest” I don’t care what booking and hotel did my reservation was booked but I was basically told I was screwed Patricia stated it was because of the time I made my reservation but a lady with two dogs whom arrived an hour after I did and clearly told me she made her reservation after I did was able to check in. As well as two other families. My husband asked since she was overbooked and was not going to give us a room if we could stay in the lobby and she said no. We left the place and I called back since I didn’t get a cancellation email. She then apologized and I said that she wasn’t so then she said oh wait someone cancelled do you want the room. Like seriously?? In the middle of a winter storm this lady literally kicked us out of the place instead of giving priority to her arrived guest. She chose to reserve the assigned room to a no show or cancelled person. Truly disappointed in hampton hilton property.

Staff was exceptionally polite and helpful. We had reserved connecting rooms due to health issues and were told upon arrival that there were non available ( Motel is under renovation - and was noisy with construction projects during the day). However, the desk staff went out of their way to change the construction schedule and provide us with connecting rooms for our stay. Greatly appreciated. Property is located less then 10 miles from the ARK. Was all you expect a Hampton to be and more. Food options are basically fast food franchises, a Cracker Barrel, and a Walmart grocery store.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Dry Ridge on Saturday, August 6, 2022. We had two adjoining rooms with our kids and grandkids next door. At 9:15 am on Sunday morning, maintenance was at our door wanting to clean our air conditioner unit. We asked if they would please wait until we checked out (11 am check out). We ended up vacating our room because there was mold in the unit, and our two grandkids have allergies. Complained at the front desk, and were told that it would only take 15 minutes. Highly recommend the Ark Encounter, but would not recommend this Hampton Inn.

No, we do not have any conference rooms.

The Hotel staff advised me that they are heavily booked most nights due to the Ark's tourism being generated in the town. I would really check with the hotel far in advance, or you may need to consider staying at accommodation further away.
Answer from Shirley C
Dry Ridge, Kentucky
We are 6 minutes from the Ark tourist attraction and yes we offer a senior rate at check in.
