Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This campground is under new ownership and new management who have done a great job updating the campground. They now have added more cabins, glamping tents, a dog park and playground. Upcoming projects include bathhouse renovations, an on-site store, updated electrical hook ups and blacktopping some areas. All prior reviews are no longer accurate depictions of the park and staff

$53.00 for night. This is what we got... Checked in after hours 7:30 Noticed people living in site permanently. Our paper was in holder on door. Went to site. Thick clay in many spots. Totally uneven pull-through site. Wi-fi? Paper said, closet to office, better. We were 3 sites away, no signal. Comments say this place is quiet.... Between railroad somewhere close by, exressway noise, I don't know why anyone would leave that review! Hubby and I tried to sleep, IMPOSSIBLE! Noise!!! All night train and traffic! Next morning checking out.... Raining. For a living we are excavators. We put in campgrounds. It was Raining. He peeked his head in, I need a bowl? Why? Because hook-up for your water was beneath a lot of water!!! As they have clay, and improper hook- ups (NEVER would it pass Health Inspection)!!! Watch video. See what toys campground offers!

The campground is easy to find. The road is directly off the highway. The facilities were clean and usable. Includes a laundry. Other than a bit of noise from the highway the campground was quiet at night. There are several pull through sites and some back in sites. The site have useable firepits. Book ahead as space is limited. The on-site manager is especially helpful.

Website showed a completely different campground. We were only staying for one night but wanted Full Hookups. Cost $67 a night. Got to the campground and wanted for use the bathrooms. It was something out of a vacation movie. Very dated, faucets old, wobbling toilets, old shower curtains. Proceeded to the office where I was greeted “outside” by a young friendly staff. Thought it was odd that she met met outside until I went back and grabbed my reservation Info, I went Into the office. It was so messy and dirty, I was shocked. We proceeded to go to our site which was the worst site. We could not level our class A without both front wheels off the ground. The grounds were not kept up. It’s like a full time RV park with no form of maintenance. I would NOT stay here again nor would I recommend to anyone especially with children.

Booked this campground because it was 10 minutes from the Ark Encounter. When pulling in I was a little nervous but that quickly changed. The owner was very nice and helpful. We got a pull thru site (#3) for our 5th wheel camper and it was very easy to get in and out. The campground is small and a little out dated, but they are making changes. It was beside I-75 and so you do get some noise but nothing that’s terrible. There are tons of people who live there full time and they are very friendly. My only complaint would be the internet is absolutely terrible. If you are looking for a quiet campground that’s close to the ark this is a good campground for you.

New management so place was clean despite prior reviews. However because of past problems, the current owner locks up the bathrooms and showers at 9pm. This is not so easy for seniors. Also, just off 75 it is very noisy. They charge a base $45 with no discounts.

We have been out traveling for two weeks staying at various campgrounds. We were so impressed with each one until I made the call to Camper Village as it is called now. I should have went with my instinct when the lady answered the phone and seemed a bit bothered that I was calling about a campsite. She said she had one left and that it would be $80 for two nights ( the most we have paid since we have been traveling) and the credit card machine was down so it would be cash only. We arrived, went in office to pay. The horrible smoke smell made me just want to get out of there. The maintenance man guided us to our campsite since it didn't have a number. The campsite was so small that it shouldn't have been rented . We barely had room to back in ( uphill). There was a camper on each side of us. The one on the left had a slide out and we were so close we couldn't open our door all the way. We had to step over a above ground pvc pipe to get into our place since the camper in front of us had been living there for four years. Beer bottle on the electric box that stayed there the two days we were there. It looks as if about half of the trailers are permanent which means a lot of junk around them. The owners need to decide if they want to operate a mobile home park or a campground. No hot water in the men's bathroom. I could go on but I will stop here. Will near go back again.

Agreed. Not worth $40. Greed runs this place. Female owner appeared drunk when we arrived at 4pm on a Monday. Got in the way of parking our unit. Claims they plan to update grounds. Would never recommend this place. Certainly Nothing over 30 feet recommended. None of the pull thru's are even close to level. The exit is STEEP with a curve. We had to have another truck help pull us out. Grounded and Bent our right bumper. Should have been given a refund. Young red headed man was the only kindness and help we received

We made a reservation there for April to see the Ark Encounter, it is the closest campground. It is at the end of Curry Lane by the interstate. They have 5 decent pull thru sites by the office, which we had a reservation for. When we arrived, they said that they overbooked and put us in another site on the side of the hill on a gravel road next to full time residents. The site was so unlevel that the leveling system could not raise the motorhome high enough to get level. When leaving, we had to pull up a very steep narrow drive with wheels spinning, we came very close to being stuck. I would not stay there again. Do not go here if you gave a large camper or motorhome. I give it two stars because they have 5 decent sites, even though we didn't get to stay in one. I understand that there are new owners, and they are trying to improve this campground, but they have a long way to go. We paid $40 per night for a site not worth $10.

The good- The owners are on site and very helpful. They are trying their best to make a go of this property and couldn't be nicer. Location is convenient to several attractions including the Ark encounter and Creation Museum. Price is reasonable ($40 a night at the time of this review) Full hookups, W/S/E 30 and 50 Amp. There is a very nice little non-denominational church walking distance from the entrance of the campground. We were made to feel very welcome as visitors. There are a walmart and several nice eateries within 5 miles. Cell phone and 4G LTE service is very strong. The bad- The campground has a lot of long termers and only a few traveler slots available. Those slots are right up against the interstate and there is a lot of highway noise. Sites are a bit small and close together, but easy to get in and out of. The free wifi is quite poor. The ugly- The campground is on a road parallel to and adjacent the interstate. Getting out (turning left) at the intersection of Curry lane and the main road can be a pain because of the traffic flow and stop lights. The owners plan to expand in the future to accommodate more travelers
