Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The owner was so nice to give us 2 spots together when we got there. He also has a portable tank for emptying tanks if needed. This place is tricky for big rigs so be sure you get on A and not B loop if you are at least 35’ long. We enjoyed the trails, water and loads of birds as well as nightly campfires. There is a propane fill at Loves about 9 miles south. Overall lovely stay and great owner!

Thoroughly enjoyed this quiet, peaceful campground. I hiked several of the trails and really enjoyed the scenery and privacy as I got in my exercise in the evenings after visiting the Ark Encounter. Very friendly owner and staff. I was pleased!

Do NOT depend upon their online reservation calendar. I verified several times for the dates of our reservation. It was open. However, after I gave my financial info to make the reservation, I had to wait several days. Then I was told that 2 of the dates were filled. They apparently have an alternate calendar system or something. I will be sure never to try to book with them again.

We arrived on June 28 at 8 pm. At that time office hours were til 7 pm (now hours are til 10 pm). A sign said, Registered campers only. Others will be prosecuted. They had no system or sympathy for people who arrived after 7 pm. A kind man on the porch telephoned/texted the owners as we were Canadians and didn't have a cell phone. Most campgrounds leave little envelopes so you can pay & set up camp. But not these people!!! Wouldn't even consider helping us. And, they are a Good Sam member! We wanted to go to the Ark the next day and had to scramble to find accommodation.

Don’t stay here! Horrible, rude customer service. Cancelled well before the 14 days as stated in the receipt and they refuse to refund any part of our 4 night stay that was charged us in advance. Our daughter also made reservations at the same time and they are considering it a group reservation and won’t refund her money either. None of this as told us in advance. She even hung up on my daughter after saying “God Bless”! What a terrible way to be treated by someone who calls themselves “spiritual”! Other reviewers have said the same thing. We’ve never been treated like this at an RV park or campground before. Pure greediness. Beware!

Very tight and narrow road to get to entrance. Glad we didn’t meet incoming traffic. The lady is extremely strict. DONot drive on grass (which is understandable) or you WILL be charged. When you drive in to register, you’ll be holding up incoming campers due to lady not wanting you to pull forward to let them pass. Tight spots so you’re bound to hit the grass. Extremely big rocks to park on which made leveling/walking tough. A lot of the sites are close but they did try to space you out as much as possible. We were taking our grandkids to see the ark (8, 14, 16) and love to sing. They were only allowed to properly sing , country, 60’s hymns etc. no rap, thumping jive. There was only one camper which w never saw across the beautiful little creek. Instead of coming to our campsite to complain, the lady (owner) hollers from across the creek that we had to be quiet in the middle of the afternoon. Her own husband couldn’t believe she did that. The pool was worse than green slim and broken tiles. We will not be back even though the surrounding forest was beautiful.

The owners would not allow us to check into the park after 6pm and refused to allow us to self park so leaving and re-entering with our RV was very inconvenient. The owner was rude and very curt. We did not have cash for a dry cabin deposit and she would not allow us to use a card for it, with a standard refund process upon checkout, only the cash refund if nothing was stolen or broken. The electrical hookups and circuit breakers were mislabeled, which caused our batteries to go dead. The owner got confrontational about it and had her husband go to the site to check. When we explained to him how they were mismarked he was argumentative and walked off. When we were leaving the park, we used the dump station and pulled to the side to wait for our friends who were following us. The owner came out and said we were blocking the exit, we showed her we were way over out of the way. She didn't agree and went and brought her two guard dogs out to have us move so we had to regroup at a gas station a few miles down the road.

Would not recommend staying at 3 Springs Campground. We had paid ahead of time for the 3 nights that we would be staying there. Due to problems with traffic and detours we were not able to get there by 7 PM which was the check in time deadline. We would arrive at 8 PM. The owner would not just give us our site number and allow us to come in 1 hour late. We had completely paid so in our mind we did not understand the problem. So we had to stay at another campground for 1 night. We were not refunded for our lost night. We were quite unhappy.

Made reservations eight months in advance. Paid in full via on line. We did not see where you HAVE to be checked in by 7:00 PM. That was our mistake. BUT, the Three Springs Campground called us about 1o minutes before 7 to tell us she was leaving. We explained that we did not see the 7:00 HAVE to check in and didn't think we could make it by then as we were just leaving Ark Encounter checkout. She rudely stated the she has been there 5 times and we could make it. She did say that she would stay a few extra minutes....which was nice. Then stuff happened.....the family we were traveling with has three children and had booked a site as well. They called her and she was rude to them too. Now, after Three Springs talked to them she called us back and said it was not worth all this for one night and would not stay the extra few minutes. She also stated we need to find something else. SHE ALSO STATED THAT ONCE YOU CHECK IN YOU CAN NOT LEAVE AND COME BACK.!!!!!!! Have to run to urgent care...tough.....want to go get some food....tough......Never have we seen anything like this. Read her responses to the reviews above.....she even says no one reads TRIPADVISOR.....really????? You don't care about what your customers think unless they review on one of the sites that she likes??? She also states we threatened her and her staff. Really??? Saying you are going to give a bad review is threatening? Do not go here....campground MAY be fine, we never got a chance to see as we were told to go" somewhere else." I assume she never travels and camps or she would know that you check in when you get there and leave when you want. Normal campgrounds put your site number on the manager door and when you get there you sang it off the door and go to your site. Rude...Rude...Rude!!!!

Awful, rude, unacceptable! We paid for a site over the phone. Was called at about 7:10pm to tell us we had 20 minutes to get there. We were just leaving the ark encounter and still had to get on the bus to our vehicle and then drive there. We would not make it. The owner was rude, informed us that she had a recording stating that she told us that we had to check in before 7pm when we paid-yet would not provide the recording. Unacceptable! She then stated we were "only staying one night" and this was "not worth it" and to "find someplace else." I was told she will get the recording on Monday morning. Thank God that a campground 20 minutes south hadn't closed and we found a place to sleep for the night with our three kids in freezing temperatures. They claim to be Christians, but to be a Christian is to be Christ's hands and feet in this world. I guarantee Jesus would not have spoke to someone as awfully as the owner did to my father (traveling with us) and myself. What this owner does is SCAM people out of money with ridiculous rules that make no sense. IF they truly care about campers they would do what every other of the 60+ campgrounds we have stayed at do for people that are traveling far with unpredictable traffic, car issues, etc.--tape the reservation to the door or on the site post. And if the place is gated, give them a code that changes daily. The ONLY PRO is the girl I spoke with to make my reservation was wonderful! She tried to accomdate us traveling with another camper. And owner: if you are hard up for money enough to need to SCAM people, I would be happy to send you some food cards, gas cards or help pay medical bills, so you don't have to leave people (and children) hundreds of miles from home on a cold Saturday night with no place to stay. 1 John 3:17
