Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were in Jetmore for a funeral and chose this motel because of the location. I was so happy to find the motel/rooms were spacious, exceptionally clean, friendly staff and comfy beds. Jetmore is an amazing town with wonderful friendly people. Thank you to Pawnee lodge and Jetmore citizens for making us feel like family.

Stayed there as part of our Big 2014 Road Trip. Staff was very helpful. Note that the room rates (especially during harvest season) are higher than average for a smaller mom 'n pop motel, but the rooms are very-nicely appointed with newer furniture and decor. Walking distance to Judy's Cafe and other restaurants.

I was very pleasantly suprised at the quality of the room. I wasn't expecting much from a hunting lodge style motel, but the room was very clean and quite cozy. Everything is kept in excellent condition, so nothing looks or feels worn down.

I had vehicle trouble, and made it here well after dark. I was not optimistic about the appearance, but could only make it that far. You have to call someone to come and let you register and pay. I was really not liking the way it appeared. I got a room and went in, boy was I surprised. A very clean room. They have worked to make a old motel nice, and have succeeded. I would definitely stay again.

Jetmore, Kansas is a long way from any major city, especially if you’ve already been driving all day. That’s why we were relieved when we discovered that the Pawnee Valley Lodge was such a nice motel. (You just never know, when it’s the only pet-friendly accommodation available for miles.) The rooms are large with decorative quilts on the beds and handsome, hardwood furniture. There’s no micro/fridge, but I used the microwave in the lobby. I believe the couple that owns the lodge has had it for 2 or 3 years, but the rooms look like they were just renovated – very clean and comfortable and right on the small state highway, though it wasn’t noisy at night.

My only issue is that there was supposed to be a continental breakfast included, but by the time we left at 7:40 am (when almost everyone else had left, as well), the office still wasn’t open. Since there was no coffee maker in the room, we had to drive several miles before we could find a fast food place to get a cup of coffee.

Other than that, the owners were very nice, and the place was clean, comfortable, and convenient for a reasonable rate. I would stay there again.

When looking for a place to stay near Hanston, we were surprised to find this motel. After reading the reviews, we made our reservations. Our room was a nice size, the room clean, comfortable beds. It even had small fridge and microwave. Out side of our room and one other, there was a gas grill. We were more than happy with our room. The staff couldn't have been any nicer. I love small towns!

Stayed here for a hunting trip...parking lot did not have room for all the hunters that weekend. They have a bunk house below motel that houses 12 people, hence all the extra trucks. The room is decent/cozy but the traffic with 18-wheeler trucks stopping in front of hotel at a stop sight all night will keep you up.

Just ok is the honest assessment. It’s basically a roadside motel, but at hotel prices. If we had paid about $100 for a 2 night stay it would have been about right, but it was about $160 total. I guess though, when you are the only lodging place in town, you can charge whatever you like. Bed was not great. We (my wife and I) got a “Queen room” but it felt more like a twin or double size bed. Also felt more like a cot than an actual bed. I would have gone with 3 stars because the room was at least clean and it had a fridge, but we had a pretty big problem the 2 nights we were there. Both nights, around 3am, we were woken by strange sounds coming from the wall above the bed. Almost like something was IN the wall. The best way to describe it; it was as if someone in the room next to us was trying to hang a picture with a hammer and nail. Tap tap tap tap non stop pretty loudly for at least an hour, nearer 2 the second night. Maybe pipes expanding or something. Really strange. Finally, on check out day, at 10.50am with checkout being at 11am, I went to the front office to check out and get a receipt. After about 10 mins of waiting I finally gave up on anybody showing up and so I just left the room key on the counter and we hit the road. Next time I think I’ll drive the extra 25 miles to Dodge City; a much better room can be found there at the Super 8 or Best Western for not a whole lot more money per night.

Our family stayed here while Pheasant hunting over Thanksgiving break. The lodge is pet friendly with permission from the front desk. We enjoyed our stay, the rooms aren't fancy but they are clean and the beds are comfortable. Each room has a microwave, refrigerator, table and chairs, and wifi.

This ground level motel had everything we needed. In room coffee, restaurant next door, WiFi hair dryer, refrigerator, microwave, table and chair. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. We also like having a sink separate from the bath and toilet. Also a rarity during our travels was the plumbing worked like it was supposed to. We would absolutely stay there again if we are in the area.
