Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I arrived late in the evening. I recieved a friendly welcome. Checking in was quick. The accommodation was 5 minutes walk. It was simple but very clean and well managed.

No heating so I used the 2 blankets provided.

Lots of hot water and clean facilities.

Small cafe next door where woman behind the bar needs some training. Went to another friendly cafe.

Good value accommodation.

We had booked ahead and received a fabulous personal welcome and fresh local fruit in our room. Just what we needed after a hot days walking. The room was spotless/ shower all that a walker desires and air conditioning to ensure a cool quiet sleep. We had a magical sight of a church festival which included blessing the bulls. Such lovely lovely people everywhere in this town.
A recommended spot for walkers bicyclers or travellers.

My wife and I are on the Camino trail from Lisbon to Santiago. Having covered 70kms in 2 days we were in dire need of a place to stay and there are not many options in Azambuja. A pilgrim hostel opened up 2 days prior to us arriving, however, we did not find it before going to Flor da Primavera, which fellow pilgrims had stayed at the night before and told us about it. The entrance is just a yellow awning and a doorway leading up some stairs to the bedrooms. The office next door is where the 'reception' is located. I say reception in loose terms as it's just an office desk. The lady running this establishment is friendly enough but doesn't speak any English and as we don't speak Portuguese it took a little bit of sign language to get a room. If you're a pilgrim with a passport its €15 a night each so €30 for the double room, which can sleep 3.

This comes with a small but clean ensuite, air conditioning, a small TV and free wifi. It's located close to the main road and railway but with the sliding glass door over the Juliet balcony closed and the metal shutter down its relatively quiet.

There's a local supermarket directly across the road and a nice cafe next door called Forno. All in all not a bad place to rest your head especially after a long walk in the hot Portugal sun!

As a side note the Pilgram Hostel is just a minutes walk further down the road. It houses 12 beds (all bunks) and is €5 a night.
