Hotel's Favourite
Excellent service, great location. We had a view of the Notre Dame dome across from our room. The location is opposite University of Notre Dame and one block from a bunch of restaurants and bars in the area. Our room was not ready when we got in (it was after 3pm) but the staff was extremely courteous and did everythnig they could to speeden up the process. The hotel tends to get busy because of all the guests coming in and out of the university across the street.

I stayed here due to its proximity to the University of Notre Dame and while it has the location, it has so much more. The rooms are spacious with true suites (a separate bedroom). The rooms are clean, nicely appointed and everything worked. They provide their guests with a substantial buffet breakfast that was the yummy with freshly made hot and cold options as well as an evening happy hour -- all included in the price of the room. It's true the rooms are not cheap, but when you consider the location, the quality of the rooms and the food, it is really worth it. Oh, and I forgot t mention the staff was wonderful. Very helpful!

Location, location, location!!! You can't beat this location proximity to campus athletic and entertainment venues. The rooms are nice sized and offer views of the campus and the city of SB. Front desk staff understands customer service and makes you feel like you are getting bang for your buck. The bar is well stocked and staffed and despite the nasty weather during our visit, the atmosphere inside the Embassy Suites was comfy.

The sewer smell in the lobby is nauseating and very likely contains unhealthy methane. If the putrid lobby smell isn't enough, it also is in the parking garage. Apparently not a new problem because it was in a review 9 months ago. Still waiting 24 hrs later for manager to call me so I can get out of here and get a refund for remainder of stay. The restaurant isn't open for lunch at all and when they close the restaurant for dinner room service they forget to tell the guests. "Serve only on weekend" translates in actuality to Th, Fri and Sat but even that is not communicated to guests. But wait, it was Saturday night, well just closed anyway and suggested I go to a pub of Jimmy Johns. They still sell booze here but no dinner, or want to shuffle you to a small rooftop 90 deg F and 70% humidity rooftop small patio serving e.g
Popcorn but oh yea alcohol. Not sure how that is helping covid either. When restaurant was open for breakfast Sunday it was a buffet served by employees but glass partition was open at the bottom to all the guests walking by. Duh covid. Duh no thanks. Shower stall is scary slick, two towel limit apparently in double guest room costing almost $200 a day. Hotel decor looks good but La Quinta is better run. Stay at Fairfield next door instead and skip the stench.

Was first there in Sept 2019 for a random football game weekend trip with my son and everything was great (ok except the room prices but you pay for location). Granted they were pre covid times and everything was open for business. Fast forward almost 1 year and honestly i think they are doing what they can do. I'm sure staff is limited as the in house restaurant were closed and room service was not good at all but I guess you have to accept things like this are gonna happen in these crazy times, otherwise just stay home. That said, the included breakfast needs a covid safe overhaul, including the EXPIRED milk cartons for kids cereal and coffee! That's just being downright cheap.
Parking was fine. I had an overhead luggage compartment on top
of my SUV and it was not fitting in the basement hotel parking. Luckily the front desk staff gave me a hotel pass to park in the first level which was super convenient.
Rooftop bar confusing. I was with my 3 yo, 14 yo and 18 yo and the first night i was told we could sit up there which had a pretty cool view of ND. Everything was great. The 2nd and 3rd nights i was told by a new bar waitress it was 18 years and older to enter. Hence the confusion without a solid reason (other than "well i wasn't waitressing last night"). Now normally I would agree with the logic but I was told by front desk it was ok to have all kids. Granted my kids were all well behaved, especially my 100% seated 3 yo. I could see how others would not be. Just make an executive decision on it being the rule 24/7 and be done with it.
Great location, clean just waiting for

I am a Hilton Diamond member and very disappointed. I travel quite often but this is one of the worst stays. We arrive late from a 7hr drive at 8pm, to be told our room isn’t ready. They gave us a dirty room after waiting a few hours! Getting clean sheets, towels or someone to unclog a toilet that was caused by previous guest…impossible. Embassy suites is known for breakfast made to order…I asked for an omelette and was told “we aren’t doing that today”. Restaurant closed most of the stay. I had so many issues, mainly the cleanliness of the room. Stains on the furniture, carpet, etc… I will never stay again.

My family and I stayed here for a Lacrosse tournament. The staff was very welcoming and the hotel was beautiful! We really loved the rooftop bar with a pretty view of Notre Dame campus and a relaxing atmosphere. There was also a nice outdoor patio near the lobby and the hotel is within walking distance to some restaurants. It was great being able to just the cross street and be right on campus to take a walk. We also appreciated how they made us feel welcome by giving us a nice bag with water bottles when we checked in as well as a happy hour later for guests which gave us a free drink and snacks in their bar. The only negatives were having to pay to park in their garage and there was a sewer/trash smell on the main floor/lobby both days.

we've had more than one rooms for a business meeting in town. The service at the front desk as well as the restaurant was excellent! Breakfast was excellent as well. There was a person behind glass separator putting your food on your plate instead of everyone opening containers and creating a mess, as in most places with a buffet type breakfast. Good selection and quality of food as well. Great job!

I stayed one night here and it was great. The hotel is relatively new and is right across the University of Notre Dame. You literally can walk there which is helpful for football weekends so you don't need to find parking. It's also right next to the Eddy Street Commons with a bunch of nice restaurants and shops including a smaller version of the Notre Dame bookstore. Didn't get a chance to try their breakfast buffet because there were so many restaurants right outside just steps away. I was a little skeptical at first because this was the hotel where covid students quarantined but the hotel was very clean with lots clorox wipes and hand sanitizer available. I would definitely come back.

No housekeeping on multi-night stays. Sign in room says this needs to be specifically requested. I did, and it was ignored.
Stale interstate-side motel level pre-made omelettes for breakfast. Embassy Suites breakfast used to be made to order. Not anymore...
Next visit a week later. I had asked on the previous visit to opt out of the text message spam the hotel sends the day of arrival. As with any service, this was ignored. Ironically, the spam is about getting a gift for my status. The person checking me in failed to give me this.
Next I got to the room and the TV was not working (not getting a signal) . Had to fix it myself.
Next, the room did not have a functioning heater. Had to change rooms in the middle of the night. The replacement room was directly next to a storage place in which the staff makes a lot of noise, and only partially stocked with toiletries and coffee accessories. See comment above about housekeeping during stay, with regards to getting this restocked.
What a ridiculous, shameful place! They know you have little to no choice if you need to stay close to the university, and fully take advantage of this, to the direct detriment of the customer.
