Detailed Reviews
We ended up at this hotel when the other hotels in town were all sold out. We felt fortunate to get a room but that grateful feeling didn't last. The desk clerk was rude and argumentative. The floors of the elevator were dirty - dirt was caked into the elevator door tracks as if they hadn't ever been cleaned. The hallway smelled of vape.
The room smelled and the AC/heater/fan gave off a peculiar odor. The bathroom had only a couple towels - which looked thin and worn out. When I went to the desk and asked for some additional towels, the desk clerk gave me a bath mat and a hand towel. Everything about this place just looked worn out, damaged, or dirty.
The price was the same or more than the other hotels in the area.

My husband and I stayed here as we were traveling through the area. Although it was a bit off our actual path, we chose it for the reasonable price. Front desk staff person we encountered was not overly friendly but was accommodating. Establishment has a weird layout; took a while for us to find our room. Room was clean; bed was comfortable but unusually high! Breakfast room itself is very small but there is a whole other adjacent area with many tables; food offerings are adequate for starting your day. One turn-off while we were there was a pile of dirty towels on the floor (near eating area) that had an off-putting odor. We were not impressed with this place.

The sign says Renovations please excuse our dust, that part is ok I get it I understand but when we got off elevators it was more than what I expected from just ur dust from construction there was tubs, doors, trim all down the hallways, that should have been a red flag. We get checked in after 9 pm, I was there for a nite stay to attend a funeral the following day. Get in the room it was nice and clean, updated, I was ok this will be fine I can overlook the things in the hallway no big deal. Get up ready to shower when to my surprise I had NO water!! The sink has water the toilet flushes and has water but the tub…NO WATER! Needless to say I was not happy, front desk stated a wing on 4th floor had been shut off for water issue but they failed to check the rooms prior to allowing ppl to book rooms on that floor. They Explained to me they would sent me to another room to shower but you will need to gather your things to do this ON another floor. I’m undressed and ready to shower, again I say to attend A Family Funeral where I drive from two states away to deal with less stress from getting up early/traffic/no rushing but then to waking up to having no water to shower. So being a bit upset was an understatement, I was NAKED AND IRATE!

This place was a bit eerie. Didn’t seem to have many guests. Our room was reasonably clean and very quiet. Bed was ok. Desk chair was very worn. Bathroom had a poor paint job, bath mat was so worn it was see-through. There were signs in the hallway that they were doing some renovations and the person who checked us out in the morning said they were almost done. Breakfast was sparse - the star was a pancake machine that had burnt pancakes in it. Other options were waffles, cereal, yogurt, mini bagels, etc. The orange juice was orange-colored water, the apple juice was just water.

Our room had a king bed, microwave, coffee pot, andrefrigerator. The room appeared to have had some remodeling but everyday wear and tear were visible. The room was clean with no noticeable odors upon entering. Bed was comfortable as were the pillows. Shower was good and our toilet was a good flushing toilet. Coffee was available 24 hours (plus for us). They offered continental breakfast (bagels, pastries, cereal, yogurt). Large hotel, rate was reasonable.

Pros- fast check in, newer linens.
Cons- food left behind from previous cues in fridge (maybe that’s a pro? 🤷🏻♀️) that didn’t work, so it stunk. The floors in the room weee either filthy or just stained to look that way; including the unvacuumed rug in the hallway. The shower barely drained and the shower curtain was too long (I could only imagine the germs on it 🤮), so I chose not to shower, the A/C BARELY worked. I had to have it set at 60° and the room was just bearable. I would have changed rooms, but I check in late (was exhausted) and did not realize the room would remain so hot until after I got all of my stuff out of the suitcase.
So- go ahead, weigh out the pros and cons...🤓

+1
This is a different hotel which is why I stayed here. Built in 1972 as a Ramada, it was higher end at the time. The lobby is on what would normally be considered the second floor so you have to climb up a steep ramp from the large flat parking lot. At the parking lot level they had a restaurant (now closed) and a small ballroom/conference facility (not sure if it is still open). Up the hill on the first floor is the lobby, a small breakfast area and the indoor pool (closed). First floor rooms are up about 10 steps and there is no elevator access, but the (very slow) elevator stops at all floors above this (2-4). It’s actually built in the shape of a plus sign and was designed to be compact and yes the layout mildly looks like a swastika which is the most efficient way to build a hotel. The advantage to this is from the elevator, most rooms are a short walk through the very wide corridors.
Only one elevator appeared to be working during my stay. My checkin was quick, but the lady seemed disinterested or distracted. The room was small but nice, everything worked but the toilet was running so I fixed that (temporarily, the float was missing). Great TV, OK internet, small bathroom, comfortable bed with slight dip. Towels were sparse and thin. Part of the drapes were hanging down. Breakfast offering were slim (no jelly for toast), but the man on duty was asking everyone for input on how to improve things, and he seemed sincere. Decent rate at $60 for a total of $67 with taxes. I-70 is only about two blocks away.
I enjoyed my stay, but like to have an easier walk from my room to the car, so I probably won’t stay here again. Definitely a unique adventure!

Elderly or handicapped, no accommodations for this.No elevator to the first level so you have to carry all your luggage up stairs, no ramp either. Beds too high, not handicapped accessible & only 1 chair in the room. Two beds, but one chair so if you want to watch TV with another person, someone has to watch from the bed. Only stairs to the first level, not informed of it. Called the desk to see if they had a small step stool for the bed because I couldn't get in and they said no, they never had that happen before. I'm 4' 10" and had to finally use the middle table between the beds to push myself up onto the mattress and getting down during the night to use the bathroom was scary. This older gal suggests you look elsewhere where the beds are at a reasonable height, there's more than one chair and lastly but maybe not too petty, the toilet paper was wound going towards the wall and in the dark during the night to not disturb my brother, I couldn't find the beginning of it. Looked like I tore it apart trying to unwind it. Not a good experience and you must park in a large parking lot with a lot of cars and worry about the safety since there's no parking in front of your room. Also be careful of their $150 cash deposit. We reserved through another online place, but there was a guy in the morning trying to get his deposit back and they said they wouldn't because he smoked in this room which he said he didn't. Wow, never heard of that kind of cash deposit. Overall, try somewhere else. The Golden Inn, the next stop over we stayed on way home and give them a 5 star rating.

Front desk attendent was not friendly at all. My Choice app showed a
price much lower than I was quoted at the desk. I literally stood in the lobby and booked my own room and then walked up to the desk.
Breakfast was sup par, only hot item was waffles. Only had orange juice, no decaf coffee. Plastic silverware was so cheap it broke when I tried to cut the waffle.
One off the pillow cases was dirty. Microwave still had time left on it, which leads me to believe they never even looked at it to see if it needed cleaning.
Night stand was sticky.
Parking lot is terrible. It's sloped and you can't park close to the entrance.
Rooms are on different levels, so even though we were on the first floor we had to climb up stairs.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, close to I-70. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It is an older hotel, used to have a restaurant there, has a ballroom and seems like many rooms for a conference. A few restaurants close by. The negative is that they charge a $150 security deposit. If the room is okay it is refunded quickly. Pet friendly.
