Detailed Reviews
Family of 4 staying on 4 night B&B / Dinner package. We had two rooms, both comfortable, spacious and with decent walk in shower along with nice coffee making facilities in bedroom. The hotel is responding very to Covid situation at all times we felt very safe with their cleaning and precautions in place. They have now multiple dining rooms to ensure correct space distance and have transformed main function room into lounge areas. The staff were very friendly and professional. On the food, we found the menus and quality to be a bit dull with our teenagers finding it difficult to find anything. There is an option for steak for an extra 8 euro however all food was well presented. The swimming pool is under severe booking restriction with on 30 min slots. The kids were disappointed with that along with still a fair few people in the pool at one time. The grounda are very nicely presented for golfers but not much for non-players so we didn't spend much time in the hotel during the day. Overall we had a pleasant stay but not so sure on value for money. Maybe better suited for couples.....

We booked a 3 night ‘over 50s’ break which included breakfast and dinner, which was great value. Overall I thought they handled the hygiene/safety issue well without detracting from the service. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially in the restaurant, although service in the bar area was a bit disorganised. The hotel is comfortable with great beds. We didn’t use the small pool. I love the setting of the hotel surrounded by the golf course, hills and trees and the location is perfect for visiting Waterford city and the East of the county. The hill walks nearby give great views of the rivers and estuary.

We were somewhat nervous booking an away trip at this time but found that the cleaning, hygiene and distancing procedures put in place by hotel management were very reassuring. The staff seemed delighted to be back at work. They were exceptionally welcoming, warm and helpful. The food, both in the dining room and bar area was excellent and as we are Golden Years clients we believe we got very good value for our money. The golf course is in great shape and the views stunning. We will be back!

It was myself and my husbands 3 year anniversary. The food was insanely good, the staff were second to none and couldn’t have been more helpful. I was very cautious in choosing a hotel to stay at during this weird time, but the covid measures in place were excellent. The rooms are sealed on arrival advising of the cleaning and sanitisation that has taken place, there are hand sanitising stations at every corner and the dining is spaced perfectly,at no point did we feel we were even sitting near people. It was all perfect,so much so, we rebooked for November on checking out. Cannot wait to get back to this stunning hotel with the most amazing staff. Thank you so much for making our anniversary perfect.

Overall a pleasant stay but the small things let this hotel down. Staff at all levels extremely courteous and it is obvious that making the customer feel welcome and appreciated is something that management place a great deal of value on. The experience at breakfast could be improved. Being served fully at table is lovely, no disorderly queueing for the buffet is great but unfortunately on both mornings we stayed breakfast experience could be have been better. Forgetting some of the order and finding dirty cutlery and delph showed an absence of attention to detail. On checkout we were almost overcharged by €60 except for my wife’s observation. It seems our drinks bill and a fellow customers got mixed up! On the positive side we had a beautiful bright and fabulously decorated bedroom in the Manor House which was at least three times the size of a typical hotel room. The bathroom had a his and hers sink, but an over bath shower with the usual issues of water leaking on to the floor. Separate shower cubicle would be better. I would rate cleanliness as high in our room, but less so in some of the common areas. Quality of food was quite good and once again waiting staff were attentive at dinner. Our experience overall would not deter us from returning.

stayed here for two nights. The room was very spacious but there were a few minor problems such as tiny stains on the sheets and on one pillow and a person with a telly in the next room playing until 12.30 am but other than that the room was perfect.
As for breakfast it was very tasty especially the pancakes that are available on the menu and the freshly made orange juice. However there were times when we had to ask for more milk, more butters and more tea as there was not enough for our party. There is also no jam available for toast only mixed berries.
The grounds are very well kept, the staff very approachable and friendly and the hotel did apply with the public health guidelines with many hand sanitizers ready at each door.
Good stay all around

We arrived at Faithlegg Hotel on Sunday 9th August and from the start it was apparent that all staff were extremely involved in providing the best service possible. The sanitizing unit were well placed at all entry points i.e. Lifts, function rooms, toilets and hallways. Clear signage on safety procedures were visible.
The bedrooms were spotless in every way and it was apparent that everything had been cleaned thoroughly.
The food at evening time and breakfast was of the highest quality and served pleasantly at all times .The Golf shop were courteous and a game of golf was easily arranged. The course was in excellent condition.
The garden areas around the hotel were in pristine condition and plenty of seating areas to enjoy a drink in the evening sunshine.
The staff are a credit to Faithlegg.

There was a large group of us. All adult couples and a small baby. Everyone had a great time. 4 played golf, all used the pool and 3 used the gym. All were excellent. Also nice for walks. It was expensive and the food in the restaurant was just ok ( small portions and limited choice for me) but service was so friendly and helpful that I really had nothing to complain about
The rooms were full of character and good views in the original part of the house. Lift takes you straight to leisure centre in bathrobes and slippers. Rooms here are individually named. The couple with the baby stayed in the family suite which had a sitting room where we all played games as baby slept. This was especially useful as the bar got busy at times with wedding guests. The classic rooms were smaller but perfect. Without the lovely views of the manor rooms.
The pool was a huge bonus and we loved playing with the baby in it ( warm enough) also good for lengths. Jacuzzi was big and it had a nice steam room and sauna. Never too crowded.

The hotel was welcoming while complying with social distancing, safe with staff ensuring all guests maintained compliance with Covid regulations and there was sanitising stations everywhere.
Standards of hospitality were maintained despite the new rules! Food was excellent.
Our new normal is that all meals and recreational activities must be booked in advance but the staff were very helpful in arranging everything.

After not being back for around 7 years, it was great to see that none of our expectations have changed just got better. From the minute you drive up the driveway and walk into the hotel you feel welcome. Reception is excellent very precise and clear, only dissapointment was there was no change in the Restaurant menu for a second night, there was no difference, but this was our only point.

No there was not friend
No, there weren't any bikes to rent at the hotel or nearby.
We were able to enjoy a few drinks with dinner no pressure once you arrived at your allotted time. We moved into the lounge and had afew more. Very relaxing time spend that night.
