DraftKings at Casino Queen RV Park
The location is near the city of St-Louis, the metro costs only $5 for an unlimited ticket for 1 day and there is a station 10 minutes from the RV Park.
The very negative point are the bathrooms of RV Park. During our stay, they were not cleaned and I can tell you that it has not been done for a long time because there were papers on the floor, a lot of hair in the showers, mirror with splashes, the boxes of sanitary napkins are full, the packaging is lying around in each toilet and there are odors so long has it not been cleaned. I contacted 3 people, even Jonathan Goines the hotel manager and I had no follow-up or return call.
If you need shower and toilet choose another RV Park.

Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize that you had a disappointing experience at our venue and we hope to make things right in the future. We've since added an RV Park host and have plans in the works for renovating the facilities.

PRO's: excellent proximity to the Gateway Arch National Park with fantastic views of it and an awesome sunset over St Louis. We welcomed the 1.43 mile walk from our RV space to the Visitor Center entrance after hours/days on the road. We were able to walk across the parking lot to the Metro platform and walk the bridge across the river. No lines at the Arch and 1/2 hour for next tram to the top (mid week pricing and discount with National Park Pass was $18 for two, well worth it!). The RV parking on the larger side is pretty flat open space, but ok distance between spaces with easy pull throughs. The side with smaller spaces have grass. The bathroom was a bit dated but clean, 2 free showers and laundry on site. The Casino is about 1/4 mile from the RV park, across a wide open parking lot, same distance to Metro on the bridge. The Casino has a 'smoking area' which is a really nice change from the Nevada Casinos we are used to.
CON's: this is a campground along the river across from downtown St Louis. The Metro and trains ran at night, but don't use horns so not so bad (with windows closed). Only the Deli was open in the casino due to day of week (and COVID I'm sure). Several restaurants on the Missouri side were also closed. Signage to the RV park is lacking. Use Google Maps and make sure you get directions to the RV park, not sue Casino. We had the same problem with no Good Sam option on the reservation site, but staff helped up book with the discount.

We enjoyed our stay and were well satisfied with our room. The shower head was maybe 50 years old, but the rest of the room was very modern. The bed was comfy and the towels were fluffy. The only thing on the dresser was an ice bucket, liner and two cups. But THERE IS NO ICE. The ice makers are turned off and the front desk has no ice available to provide to guests. So much for amenities. The absence of ice COULD be mentioned same as the absence of housekeeping during your stay, and guests should be told prior to checking in. There isn’t anywhere close to even buy a bag ice.

The Casino Queen RV park is locate just across the Mississippi River from downtown Saint Louis and the arch. The RV park is clean, safe and has very helpful/friendly security staff. The sites are spacious and have water/electric/sewer hookups. The larger RV sites 40-70ft rigs are out in the open and provide no shade. That was O.K. with our family because the site allowed us to pull out 40ft motorhome and pickup (In tow) into the the site without unhooking the truck.
Campground has a basic playground, restrooms and camp store with vending machines, but the location and access to downtown Saint Louis was perfect for our family. You can drive a couple of minutes across the river or take the commuter train. There is a rail station on the Casino property to downtown, ball park, aquarium and beyond.
The highlight of the visit was the Saint Louis zoo. This was a big surprise. I don't go out of my way to visit zoo's, but this zoo was wonderful. My kids had a blast walking around. The zoo has no entrance fee and ample free parking outside the pay parking lot area. You have to make a reservation online via the zoo's website, but they have thousands of available reservations each day. During the week you will have little problem getting a reservation with short notice.
Not far from the zoo is Jeni's Splendid ice cream shop. By far the best ice cream I have ever had. We made a pilgrimage every evening to Jeni's. Ice cream and waffle cones are made fresh inhouse. Single scoop with waffle cone runs $5. The ice cream is very rich and a single scoop will satisfy most appetites.

Positives: Nicely located near expressways with a good view of the Arch, website booking allowed for easy reservation booking.
Negatives: Website reservation system did not offer or give a 10% Good Sam discount, sent 2 email confirmations, one contained access code, the other contained wifi code, would have been nice to have everything in one email. Utility layout on the pads is bunched up at the end of the pad making for long hookups and inconvenient, Wifi signal is weak and unusable, bathrooms were reasonably clean but very subpar for the price and the RV park is a LONG walk from the casino, our intent was to go and throw a few quarters around but we decided not to given the distance. On top of all of this, the rates were expensive (over $70).

We spent one night in the RV park followed by one night in the hotel at the Casino Queen at the end of April. We had a good experience overall, but a few things were lacking that make it difficult to justify a 4* rating.
RV park: We were scheduled to stay here 2 nights. Upon arrival, the section we were staying in was coned off, so we had to move them ourselves. And somebody was already in our site. They claimed the manager said it was OK, but it seemed fishy that they picked the only site on that side of the park that was reserved for the night (by us). We had to call the front desk to make sure we could stay in another site. Amenities were as expected, but we didn't see any on-site staff during our stay. We did not find noise to be an issue, and a distant view of the Gateway Arch was nice.
Hotel: Due to an issue with our RV, the front desk accommodated our request to move to the hotel for the second night of our stay. They were very nice to charge us only for the price differential. But front desk and security don't seem to talk to each other, so we got a bit of a grilling by security when we moved our RV into the hotel lot. We stayed in a regular room (facing the casino, not the Gateway Arch) that was spacious. However, the bed sheets were very rough. The rest of the room and hotel was to our liking, and it seemed like a good value.
Considering we had an RV with us, we found the Casino Queen location next to a Metrolink station very convenient for a day of sightseeing around St. Louis. But if we had been staying just in a hotel, we likely would have picked something on the other side of the river. There was absolutely nothing of note around the Casino Queen other than the Metrolink station.

This is a large (140 +/- sites) divided into two by the access road, and laundry and bathrooms. The north side has smaller asphalt pull through sites off asphalt access roads with trees and grass. The south side has longer pull through asphalt sites off asphalt access roads with no trees, and crushed stone between sites. Note the crushed stone is difficult to clean, and there was an accumulation of small trash that was off putting (cigarette butts, chewing gum, q tips). Also know, the sites are not as level as they look. The hookups are at the rear of the site - they are modern and functioned properly. Plenty of OTA stations, and a big sky for satellite, the Verizon cell service was good, and their included WiFi was very good. Yes, there are trains, and road noise, but we did not judge it to be oppressive. We were able to walk to the Arch, and during the day did not feel unsafe. Looked into the Casino, and found it to be clean, a good size with lots of slots and table games (non smoking).

If you make a reservation you better get their before noon so you can get a spot that your rig will fit in. We got here at 5:00pm today to find that someone else was in our site. We called the phone number on the confirmation email to let them know that someone was in our site and they said that there was nothing they could do about it. The transferred us to Security and he said the same thing. We were told that they were completely booked and to just find another site that was not filled yet. We really didn’t want to do that because the. The next person is going to be in the same predicament that we are in. However, they gave us no choice. Now we have to worry that the occupants that are supposed to be in this site will be knocking on our door late at night to let us know we’re in their spot. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

The room was a nice size and had a great view of the arch. Bed was comfortable too. They are no dining options at the hotel - only next door at the casino and limited there too as they are in the middle of renovation of the eating facilities.
Driving over to the arches from here is fairly easy and takes only a few minutes.
You have to go outside to get to the casino and it only takes a minute but i think they should have built an enclosed connector. All other dining or entertainment options are across the river. Not sure how easy walking would be and driving would require you to pay for parking.

RV park is a parking lot with maturing trees for some shade. Fairly well kept. Office/store is unmanned and empty. Bathroom is generally nasty. Men’s has no urinals and 2 toilets and2 showers for perhaps 200+ sites. 2 washers 2dryers. Ok if self contained. Next to train tracks. Security drives thru frequently. No fire rings
