Hotel's Favourite
This hotel is phenomenal. The location is absolutely perfect for Wrigley Field and Lake Shore Drive. We were a quick 5 minute or less walk to the lake front! Wrigley was an easy, fun walk. We used Uber, and were at Navy Pier within 10 minutes! The parking is so easy, and the parking staff is also extremely friendly! The staff is so welcoming and friendly, and really makes you feel like family. They gave us the best local (to the hotel) food recommendations! The room was extremely roomy and SO CLEAN! As soon as you walk in the front door of this hotel, you can just smell the cleanliness of this place. There is a nice, large lobby to use. The baseball themed EVERYTHING was so neat! You won’t go wrong staying here!

Comfortable clean rooms; appealing and unique aesthetic. Outstanding service from Daniel and Delonte at the desk. Cheap/fun mini bar! Highly recommend. We had a very comfortable and large room - easy access to nearby parking at a reasonable rate given the location.

My husband and I have been staying at the Majestic for years when we are in the city. This boutique hotel in a gorgeous, historic building is on a quiet street within walking distance to so many shops, restaurants and all things Lakeshore & Wrigleyville. The rooms are always spotless and the staff is always extremely attentive, especially Daniel who has taken great care of us every year. He is a true professional. See you soon, Majestic!

My 20 year old daughter stayed at this hotel by herself, so I had to do a little extra paperwork to get her booked, so she could check in by herself. Both Daniel and Roxanna at the hotel did a great job in helping me out! From my daughter they also did a great job helping her out when she checked in along with letting her know of local restaurants to fit her budget. My daughter told me the room was fine and the hotel employees were great! The room was very clean and the hotel close to the highway, but not so close that you could hear traffic sounds (she had to stay near Wrigley Field). Of the hotels I researched nearby this one was the best and the hotel employees supported that! Thanks again!

My bestie and I were lucky enough to win Lady Gaga tickets at Wrigley Field on August 15th which was a Monday night. She won them a few weeks in advance of the concert so we booked our train up and got online to find hotels. Of course almost everything was sold out, but I was able to find rooms at the Majestic Hotel listed on Google for $144 a night. I went to book at a couple of different places and then the price would jump hundreds of dollars. I called the hotel directly to book a room and was told my room would be $539 plus tax. The only other room located even remotely close to Wrigleyville was at the hostel. I heard a few good reviews of The Majestic online and I loved the location of it so I went ahead and booked it. The hotel is a beautiful old building. The front desk folks were plenty nice and the Lounge was cute. Upon arriving to our room it was very small, barely enough room for the queen size bed. I don't need a lot of space so that wasn't that big of a deal. Bathroom floor was dirty and the wallpaper was peeling leaving crumbs all over the ground. There was no microwave or coffee maker and online it said that there would be a mini bar and snacks that you could buy in your room but those were also gone. Upon asking the front desk they said they were down stairs for purchase if we wanted them. The there are refillable bottles of shampoo and lotion and soap in the bathroom and you can tell the lotion just gets refilled from the top and different types have been in there some was solidified in the bottle. I loved the location because it was a 15-minute walk or so to Wrigleyville and Boys Town and was very safe. The bed was the best thing about the room because it was comfortable. Upon arriving home I saw that I had been charged 633 along with a $100 charge. I called them to question the $100 charge and they said that that would be refunded within the next few days and that the extra money on top of the initial $539 charge was for taxes and fees. There was no breakfast offered. I am just so disappointed in myself for paying so much just to sleep for a couple of hours. I think the immense jumping price is ridiculous but I do understand that I didn't have any other choice. If it ever happens again I would just stay in a cheaper motel for their South and pay the cab driver and save a ton of money and receive much more. There are plenty of cabs, ubers, bikes, scooters. Lesson learned. I would be happy to stay here for the $144 a night that was originally listed but what was advertised on web page in the experience and amenities was not what I experienced or received. Good friendly staff. Good bed. Good location .

This is a great hotel option if you are looking to stay close to Boystown, Wrigley, or generally in Lakeview. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful when I had questions. The hotel is themed tastefully towards baseball. The front desk has a cool baseball installation and the lobby is very smartly furnished with leather chairs and baseball themed items. It wasn't overdone or kitschy. The rooms are a bit outdated in terms of furnishings and look. I was surprised to see wallpaper in the bathroom, and very granny wallpaper at that. With that being said, the room itself was in great condition, the bed was comfortable, there was a desk to do work (which I worked from the hotel room for a day and found it very suitable), and it was very clean. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it. If you're looking to be in Lakeview you really can't beat the location.

Inconvenient hotel. Parking is expensive at $25 per night. Not located very close to a metro station or any major attraction accept Wriggly Field. Rooms are small and outdated. Heating barely works. Lobby is cute however you are not paying to sleep in the lobby. No free Breakfast. An honor bar and mini-fridge in each room jammed full of junk food for sale to nickle and dime you. No room in the mini fridge for your own food with all the sodas for sale shoved in them.

Dear Guest, Thank you for recapping your recent experience with us. We understand that parking is not cheap in Chicago, but we do offer unlimited in-and-out access compared to other parking garages around the area. As goes for the heat, it is always on, but it is on sensors, so as any boiler/furnace it goes on and off based on the temperature set. Our suites do have a kitchenette with a fridge and microwaves for our guests to use. Also, upon request we can remove the mini bar items from the mini fridge. The 146 express bus is right around the cornet and can take you downtown in just 15 minutes. Once again we do hope you accept our sincerest apologies for your inconveniences and we hope you give us another try if your travels bring you back to Chicago and we will make sure your experience is much more pleasant. Sincerely, Roxana D Majestic Hotel

We were in Chicago for a Cubs baseball game. The hotel is located on a side street in a mostly residential area just off Lakeshore Drive, and has a baseball-themed decor throughout. It was quiet and very safe to walk everywhere including Wrigley Field, only a 15-minute walk away. Our room included a small dorm-size fridge, which was stocked completely full of small beverages, so bring a cooler to keep your things cold if you don't want to purchase. Might be worth a $15 upgrade for the Double Queen Suite with its separate sitting area and a kitchenette with microwave, sink and fridge (still packed full, though). Beds were very comfortable and shower had good pressure and hot water. 15 minute parking in front for unloading. The parking garage is actually behind the hotel off of Addison St., which can be a little confusing. Have your parking card stamped at the front desk to receive a reduced $25 parking fee, which expires in promptly 24 hrs. from entering the garage.
There are lots of places to eat nearby, most within walking distance. We would recommend ROCKS Lakeview for salads, sandwiches/wraps, wings, etc., and be sure to try their tater tots! Visit Ann Sathers for breakfast, just a few doors beyond ROCKS. The story behind this little cafe is as interesting as its menu! We think you will enjoy your stay at The Majestic!

This is a great location if you are looking to be near Wrigleyville. Easy walk to lots of places and a good price for a summer stay. The lobby is very nice and fun, the staff is very friendly. The room we had was worn (a king suite with a large obvious hole in the couch). The bathroom is small but fine although the toilet whistled and the sink didn't drain very well. There is plenty of body wash, shampoo and conditioner which was appreciated. It was very hot but the room air conditioner kept us cool and kept down the noise. The bed was very comfortable. I can recommend this place especially if you are just using it to sleep at night.

Stayed here overnight before picking up my daughter for a trip out of town. Price was good in comparison to other hotels in the area. They offered off-site parking in a parking garage of the neighboring apartment building next door for $25/night which is very reasonable for Chicago. This is an older building with a very small elevator. The room was small but adequate for our needs. The air conditioner was kind of loud and it was right next to the bed. If you wanted the AC on, the air was blowing right over your head. If you turn it off, then you're hot. Room was clean, bathroom was small but clean. There's an honor system minibar with snacks. We didn't use it but we got charged for some drinks on our credit card. Called the hotel for an explanation and they refunded our card.

Noworreez,
Depends on the date. Usually during the summer we won't, but please contact us directly with a date that you have in mind and we'll be happy to help you.
They are affiliated with a parking garage that is adjacent to the property - NOT a valet. It was $25 a night, which I felt very reasonable, and my experience with it was very positive.
Google Maps I dictated there is a 10 minute drive or about a 35 minute walk to the theatre from the Majestic Hotel.
For sushi, I highly recommend Diva Thai & Sushi Bar on N Halstead. Three of us had sushi, the fourth had a delicious green curry that took my tastebuds back to Bangkok. The food was delicious, the service was great. Our server was available when needed, but did not hover.
Unfortunately I can’t provide a Cuban recommendation personally at this time.
The time a taxi takes from the airport depends largely on the hour of the day. At 3:00 AM you could probably make it in about 30 minutes or so. At 3:00 PM it could take a very long time. When I had an early morning flight out of Chicago, I actually went and stayed the night at an airport hotel to be sure I would make it. A good strategy. I can't remember the taxi fare--sorry!
