It was two blocks from bus to Shedd or Field which costs $2.50, much less than parking.
I originally booked for 2 nights but ended up needing to stay an extra night, so in total I stayed here for 3 nights… when I checked in I asked if I could add an extra night and the front desk employee said it was no problem and that they would give me the night for $99. That was how much I paid originally anyways. After checking in, everything was good until that extra night. They checked me out of my room without consulting with me and all my things were locked in the hotel room. When I went back down to the front desk, they said they never put me in for an extra night. Yet again, they promised me $99 for that extra night. I had to make a separate reservation for that room again to get my things back. After leaving the place, I realized that they charged me $150 instead of $99 for that night even after being promised it over 3 times… not to mention, it’s been over a week and I haven’t gotten my deposit back from them. The employees told me I’d get the deposit back after 2 days.
I don’t recommend this place unless you’re only in the city for a couple of days. The employee that said I would get my night for $99 is saying that he doesn’t recall telling me he’d give me the night for $99. Which I have no idea why I would lie about it. After calling in about it, they transferred me to their general managers voicemail. So I still haven’t gotten my money back and the problem isn’t resolved.
My relative called me and told me that housekeeping came into their room at 9am while they were sleeping. Check out time is 11am. Per housekeeping, their room was marked as empty. I then received a call back from the manager asking me if I had checked out. Reminded her that yes I did, last night, and went somewhere else. She then asked me what rooms I was in and I reminded her again. She sounded like she was confuse and since I knew the situation with housekeeping, I re-explain the whole situation. She then made the comment of “oh, so you’re not lying”. I can only assume they were thinking I lied about checking out and housekeeping busted “me” in the room. I told her ma’am your staff must of checked out the wrong room!
I would not recommend this hotel until they do major updating for the price they’re charging! Parking is super expensive as well.
Bottom line: At this "2 star" Travelodge by Wyndham at 65 E. Harrison in Chicago, Sheryl, the front desk employee, gave me a "5 Star" customer service experience at 2 star prices! She checked me in quickly, explained all relevant hotel policies and since I booked my trip through Priceline, she explained to me the benefits of the Wyndham Rewards Program and booking through the hotel directly.
The room was clean, large and comfortable. I was able to get 8 solid hours of sleep which prepared me to perform at a top level during the next day which was filled with meetings and other work related activities...
I will definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for good value and top quality at affordable prices.

"Train is right next to the hotel, so expect to hear it all night. Slept with the TV & air on and we were fine. Great location downtown! "Read full review
