This hotel is centrally located in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood near Michigan Avenue and Riverwalk and a short stroll from Navy pier.
The hotel has a pleasant modern urban chic aesthetic. Our 10th floor corner room was spacious with floor to ceiling windows and great views - including a nice one of the Chicago river. The bed was amply sized and bathroom was well appointed.
The lobby was comfortable and had many places to sit for a drink or quiet game of cards. The centerpiece is a very large, modern fireplace feature that certainly draws the eye. We understand that some of the large decorative finishes are repurposed Chicago train tracks from an earlier era.
The bar / restaurant was appealing. The bar was well stocked and the bar staff very friendly. The ETA restaurant does a good job of preparing and delivering food relatively basic meals.
All of the staff we interacted with were polite and very helpful. That is saying something for a five day stay.
Our only small complaint was that one side of the bed lacked easily accessible charging outlets while some of the outlets on the desk were nonfunctioning. The Loews is not inexpensive but given the location and season the prices were not out of line for the value received.

I have never stayed at a Loews hotel, so I had no idea what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised. Check in was easy, the room was large and clean and had everything I needed: fridge, coffee maker, comfortable chair, comfortable bed. The city was overrun with marathoners and their families, and yet I never felt like the hotel was too busy. There is a whole foods mere meters from the hotel, and very quick access to Michigan Ave. The staff were pleasant and helpful. A lovely touch after the marathon was a certificate with my name and time on it and 2 delicious cookies with the marathon logo on them. I would recommend it without hesitation and will stay there again when I return.

We were really pleased with our choice of the Loews for our trip to Chicago. It is in a perfect location, close to Michigan Avenue and the river but we enjoyed Streeterville itself too- Roberts Pizza, Lao Sze Chuan, and the Shoreline boat tour- and we had a great view of the lake and Navy Pier. The hotel is understated but very very comfortable, with an incredibly comfortable large bed, a desk that two can use, an huge elegant bathroom with great hot water pressure, and total blackout blinds so we slept to 8am every morning. It is probably the most comfortable room we have had on our month-long overseas trip. The lobby is cozy, hip and functional like lots of private living rooms. We had brekkie at ETA every morning and the food was great, esp the remarkable lobster eggs Benedict. The pool was just ok and full of kids, but what can you do and at least they had a pool but no jacuzzi. My family enjoyed their Streeterville Social club bar for nibbles and drinks in the sun in the arvo.
My family lives in Chicago and I would stay at the Loews again in a heartbeat when we visit.

Excellent facility and all staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. They held our luggage for us when we arrived very early in the day and Emmanuel at the front desk was so welcoming and recommended several options for breakfast to us. We loved the rooms, the pool (although small, was fine for us to spend a few of the rainy hours in) and the gym - which had two Peloton bikes. The location was also fabulous, close to so many things that we walked to - Navy Pier, Magnificent Mile, Millenium Park, Wildberry Pancakes, 360 Chicago in the John Hancock building.
We traveled as two adults and 12 and 10 year old children. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend.

Being my first time in Chicago, I didn't know what to expect. The convenient location of the Loews was perfect for navigating around the city. Whether it was a short Uber ride or a relatively quick walk, I was impressed with the location. The rooms were clean and modern and provided a safe environment by requiring key card access to your specific floor in the elevator. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating when inclement weather put a halt on travel plans. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope I get the chance to come back again!

We stayed at Loews Chicago for three nights for hobipalooza. It is a 20 minute walk to grant park, easy access to the riverwalk for architecture boat tour if you like, easy walk to bus stops and has a driveway for uber/lyft pickups. I would recommend this hotel, I'm not sure if there were any other lollapalooza goers staying there, it has a very classy vibe, but is very low key as well. Our stay was very comfortable, there are a lot of services we didn't take advantage of, like room service, or spa, or turn down service, if you have kids they have kid friendly services that sound really cool something about cookies lol. We had one cleaning woman our whole stay and she was 5 stars just by herself. The concierge was very helpful, she hooked us up for the first day so we were able to knock out getting the famous chicago pizza and experience an architecture boat tour. The bell team was also top tier, they greeted us without fail and helped us with directions whenever we needed it. We had a weird shower issue (the temp was changing mid shower) the first night we forgot to mention, but got resolved without us bringing it up. The pool is not as big as I thought it would be, it's literally a two person lap pool, but honestly that's the perfect size. There's a fridge in the room and a microwave in the ice room so they've got you covered if you got leftovers or like in our case we went to get cakes we saved to savour after each day of lollapalooza lol. We got upgraded before we arrived too to a higher room, so that was also nice. Room lighting is ok, They do have big mirrors, one in the bathroom and one outside at the entrance so if you leave the door open you can see your whole outfit. Very nice. There are plenty of outlets and hangers! Also wifi is complementary with the destination fee technically. The destination fee while it sounds weird is worth it because we got an uber coupon we used to get to the airport when we checked out, but you can use it whenever, and you get a food credit which I forgot about. Other than that I really enjoyed my stay and if I am ever back in chicago would stay there again. 10/10 definitely recommend.

The best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The location is top-notch and in walking distance to the Navy pier, Maggie Daley park, and the Millennium Park. So much to see and do walking the streets around the hotel. The concierge was so helpful secured us a taxi van to take us to the Lincoln Park zoo. It only cost $13 there and $11 to get back to Navy pier. So much to do at Navy pier and I highly recommended wheel and Seadog boat tour. A short walk back to the hotel from Navy pier. Giordano‘s deep dish pizza it’s just down the street and is amazing. There is a Microwave near the ice machine across room 22 on each floor to reheat all of your leftovers that you will surely bring back to the hotel. The staff are all amazing at the hotel and so helpful. The ETA restaurant has the best steak and egg breakfast I’ve ever had. Another restaurant is Cupitol Down the street which has amazing coffees- highly recommend stuffed French toast breakfast. The hotel is so thoughtful including putting water and disposable earbuds outside the fitness center which is top notch, the toiletries in the bathroom are amazing. The bedding and the rooms are beautiful and comfortable with amazing views from 12 th floor. My children loved the iPad and PlayStation that we loaned from the front desk. I highly recommend this hotel for families

Spent a week long stay in a Lakeview Suite to explore Chicago with family and Loews Chicago did not disappoint. Room was spacious and attentive staff made sure everything was perfect. Room was cleaned daily which is a rarity these days. Hotel location is central to key sights and taxis/Ubers are literally parked 200 ft from the door for quick pickup. Coffee shop was on point - all the basics, no lines, and great service. Overall a great experience and you can tell this hotel is well-managed.

The hotel is lovely, the rooms are well appointed and comfortable and the location is terrific. However the $27/day "Destination Fee" feels like a cheap money grab. The fee is assessed daily. For that you can get a daily $10/day food and beverage credit. Whether you stay one night or more, you receive a $10 Uber credit ONCE which we had to go back to the desk and ask for because it wasn't sent to us automatically as we were told it would be. The remainder of the fee is for "premium wi-fi" which seemed just like the wi-fi at any other hotel that doesn't charge for wi-fi. It says you also get 10% off local entertainment but there is nowhere we could find any details on that.

An absolute horrible experience staying at Loews me and my husband were so excited we checked in we loved it. My husband used their provided product a Qtip for his ear and I don’t know what cheap brand they use that the cotton ball got stuck in his ear we were staying in Chicago for only a day and half the day was gone in search of urgent care and clinic visits. We were in panic mode we came here to enjoy not to get stressed out so we called the hotel and told them what happened. The hotels manager Alex is such an evil person I don’t know why he would lie and make it hard for us. My husband complained about the hotel’s product we had to go to ER for and we did not force him to give us the room we asked for another day at the hotel so that we can do what we came here to do and also that we would appreciate if he can help us. This manager said yes we will move you to junior suite and your stay will be covered also valet parking and 45$ credit. We were very thankful. The night before we were about to check out we saw full charge on the card so we called the manager at the duty at that time edward oh he was so disappointed and impolite he straight refused any promises or comp room. Also then the next morning we talked to alex and he refused straight away and we were so confused he should have told us that it’s not possible he can’t get us a room or he’ll us in any way he decided to trick us straight lied to us I don’t know why and we kept trying to reach upper management but no body responded no body we can get ahold of. Very the worst customer service and staff is so so so rude it’s unimaginable

Good morning arubas2021, thank you for sharing your experience at Loews Chicago. I was made aware of the situation with your husband yesterday morning and understand that our Director of Rooms did speak with you about the incident. Our records indicate that after your husband's injury, he did contact our Manager, Alex, to request an extension of your stay. At that time, Alex expressed concern and offered to extend your stay at a discounted rate, offered complimentary parking and an additional credit. Your husband expressed his gratitude to Alex and stated that "he wasn't looking for anything for free." At no time during that conversation did Alex offer a complimentary night. I do note that our Director of Rooms did provide the complimentary night after speaking with you yesterday morning. I did want to share this information with you to clear up any misunderstandings. Best regards, Christian H. Hansen Managing Director
