Detailed Reviews
On arrival we were greeted by an incredibly nice lady (and two very cute dogs) who checked us into our one bedroom cottage.
The cottage was incredibly clean and well maintained. There was everything you could have possibly needed to comfortable beds with great linens, well stocked kitchen, and bathroom with plenty of amenities.
We spent the night in watching Netflix and making our own dinner and it genuinely felt like we were in our own little holiday home.
A nice touch was the heating being put on before our arrival and the little bag of sweets and cookies to have with our cuppa in the morning.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back

We stayed at Clutha Gold Cottages between the Roxburgh Gorge and Clutha Gold bike trails. Our cottage was very spacious, totally clean, had breakfast things for us and the proprietor took us into town to get something for dinner. Very friendly and helpful. We were very happy with our stay and very much recommend it.

I would say that this place would be more of a summer place, but it was very cozy when I stayed in June. I would advise anyone staying there that they take there own food etc as it is over 2km to limited shops. I am sure in the lighter evenings, the walk would be very pleasant. There is a friendly pub in town that does cheap food, but the drink-driving could be a problem without taxis or courtesy busses. On saying that, I think the pub offer you a ride at weekends. It was very peaceful and Christine was very accommodating. Will definitely go back for a summer visit.

Stayed in a one bedroom cottage - $120 per night so we thought believing what was advertised on the website. When we went to pay we were charged $140 per night. Apparently an extra $20 per night because we used the second bed ie both not in the queen bed. How she knew I am not sure because the beds were never made while we were there and frankly it was none of her business. The best we got was a single set of clean towels over the three nights. Would not recommend this campground as this was only one of the inconsistencies we struck. The main administrative person was not transparent about charges. Overall it was an unexpectedly expensive stay.

Camped one night. Small, very busy park. Was told to eat and shower before 5pm due to seasonal workers returning from shift and taking over showers and kitchen at that point. Not enough toilets for the capacity of the park, we all waited extended periods to use the toilets every time. The park is very clean and tidy. The playground and trampoline are lovely, although my kids were hoping for a traditional top 10 jumping pillow.

We thought we'd stay for 1 night, and ended up staying for 3. We would have stayed for longer if we could. Christine is running a really tight ship here. Everything is spelled out so clearly for all of the guests (in the nicest way) All of the facilities are so organised and spotlessly clean. The staff are all helpful. There's bikes to use, and helmets as well. There's walking tracks nearby, biking trails and plenty of cafes in the township to visit. They also give you unlimited wifi ! The setting is very pretty but only a short distance from the township. We can't recommend this place enough.

5 of us were on a cycling holiday from Clyde to Waihola. We stayed a night in one of the cottages. It was comfortable clean accomodation. The couch was a pull out bed, so we all had our own bed for the night, The Manager was extremly helpful - she even drove us to the Tavern where we had booked in for dinner

Playgrounds, place to kick a ball, pool, bikes, games, walking biking tracks. It was great to see groups of children join in together on the pirate ship using their imagination to create stories and games.
Thanks Christine and your exceedingly hard working team to create and maintain such a
wonderful environment.

Excellent place small and very tidy with impressive cleanliness in all the facilities. Christine is a very good operator and shows real pride and passion towards giving the best service. The campground is small but has all the facilities need and well set up for families and plenty of things for kids to do on site.

Would highly recommend from the crowds experience. We were a cycling group and were housed in a large 5 bedroom house. The owner drove us into town to get food in the evening so we didn't have to get back onto our bikes again that night.
Clean & tidy, quiet, comfortable beds, funky sculptures around the gardens. What more could you ask for?
