We came by a campervan, my husband, 2.5 y.o. son and I. Loved the picturesque surroundings, the horses, playground. It is a beautiful and cosy site. There hasn't been many people staying so it was quiet. Amenities are in good condition and you may tell that the site is taken care of well. The host is friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and come back.

The cottages were used for a work group for a number of weeks and Christine, the host, went above and beyond to look after them and cater to any needs we had, would highly recommend this accommodation as it was very comfortable and cosy, she even spoiled the staff with baking.

Would highly recommend from the crowds experience. We were a cycling group and were housed in a large 5 bedroom house. The owner drove us into town to get food in the evening so we didn't have to get back onto our bikes again that night. Clean & tidy, quiet, comfortable beds, funky sculptures around the gardens. What more could you ask for?

Beautiful camp. We stayed overnight in our campervan. The facilities are immaculate and very well appointed. There was nothing more we could have wanted. Hubby went for a bike from the camp access along the river to the dam. All in all a really great spot!

We stayed at Clutha Gold Cottages between the Roxburgh Gorge and Clutha Gold bike trails. Our cottage was very spacious, totally clean, had breakfast things for us and the proprietor took us into town to get something for dinner. Very friendly and helpful. We were very happy with our stay and very much recommend it.

I would say that this place would be more of a summer place, but it was very cozy when I stayed in June. I would advise anyone staying there that they take there own food etc as it is over 2km to limited shops. I am sure in the lighter evenings, the walk would be very pleasant. There is a friendly pub in town that does cheap food, but the drink-driving could be a problem without taxis or courtesy busses. On saying that, I think the pub offer you a ride at weekends. It was very peaceful and Christine was very accommodating. Will definitely go back for a summer visit.

We stayed for 1 night in our Clutha gold bike ride and wished we had booked for more nights. The cottage was incredibly comfortable. Older in style but redecorated, clean and contained all that was needed. The setting is just delightful with attractive gardens. Someone clearly has a passion for aesthetics. The kids loved the games room and playground, even after a long ride. Staff were friendly and accomodating as we car shuttled both days.

As a single individual with his own self contained mobile home l do find the cost factor for staying on a nightly basis a little of putting compared to other camp sites.4 night stay plus power $140.00 won't be recommending this location that's for sure.

As a family group we were most impressed with this camp. The facilities were very clean, fabulous showers. Our mokos loved it here as there was so much to keep them occupied.Thoughtfully laid out with different spaces. Playgrounds, place to kick a ball, pool, bikes, games, walking biking tracks. It was great to see groups of children join in together on the pirate ship using their imagination to create stories and games. Thanks Christine and your exceedingly hard working team to create and maintain such a wonderful environment.

Stayed in a one bedroom cottage - $120 per night so we thought believing what was advertised on the website. When we went to pay we were charged $140 per night. Apparently an extra $20 per night because we used the second bed ie both not in the queen bed. How she knew I am not sure because the beds were never made while we were there and frankly it was none of her business. The best we got was a single set of clean towels over the three nights. Would not recommend this campground as this was only one of the inconsistencies we struck. The main administrative person was not transparent about charges. Overall it was an unexpectedly expensive stay.
