Detailed Reviews
If you are riding the Clutha Gold Trail or passing through Millers Flat you need to stay at The Quince. Cally and Wendy are wonderful hosts and Cally's meals are Master Chef quality. Cally and Wendy made us feel very at home - and we are generally very reserved people but straight away felt comfortable chatting with them. The accommodation was beautiful - just what we needed after a day on the bikes. This is a place we would love to return to and can't recommend it highly enough to others. Thanks for the really yummy gin too!!

Many thanks to Cally & Wendy for their superb hospitality! You'll never know how much I appreciated the generous upgrade after four very hot & trying days of cycling. This was the most luxurious & well-appointed accommodation in which I stayed & all the little niceties had been thought of (including drinks in fridge, Xmas cake & cherries). Superb breakfast & lunch made from locally sourced foodstuffs (when available). KIcking myself for not staying longer than a solitary night!

Wow wow wow. What a beautiful place to stay. The cottages were set up with all those little extras and beds like sleeping on clouds. The hosts Cally and Wendy are are ‘one out of the box’. The gourmet dinner was top notch delicious. Then our packed lunch for the next day on the Gold Trail cycle track was full of lovely little surprises worth much more than we paid. If you are looking for a wonderful treat for your partner look no further.

Six of us stayed here a night while doing the Clutha bike trip. What an absolute gem of a place! Cally and Wendy are superb hosts, interesting to chat to and their Quince gin worth a taste. The accommodation was 5star BnB, our three course evening meal superb, and breakfast was an abundance of lovely fresh local produce and home made muesli and jams. Local wines available too.Gorgeous gardens and its right on the bike trail. Highly recommend staying here!

This is an excellent place to stay while doing the Clutha Gold Trail. The accommodation is really well equipped and comfortable, and allows indoor and outdoor time. Very quiet. Very clean. Cally and Wendy really are wonderful hosts, and Cally’s meals are exceptional. It was one of the highlights of my trip.

Such a wonderful place. The ladies were gracious and welcoming. The grounds are just sooo peaceful and spacious, guests get their own area to relax in among gardens and trees. And then the food!! Michelin quality and locally produced. Fresh, colourful, a delight to enjoy. Thank you so much and yes we will be back.

We have stayed at The Quince on four separate occasions, and are already planning our next visit.
Hosts, Cally and Wendy are charming and ensure all the little luxury touches are there for their guests enjoyment. The food is outstanding and even our rather quirky palates were catered for.
We can't speak highly enough of this little piece of paradise.

We would bike the Clutha Gold trail again just to stay at Quince Cottage! Wow!
Great room with the most comfortable bed ever. The dinner that Calley cooked for us was Michelin Star quality-I can still see and taste those dishes in my minds eye/palate. Can’t recommend this B&B highly enough. We’ll be back!

A superb stay while cycling the Clutha Gold trail. Cally provided excellent service and high quality accommodation, and topped it off with the most delicious three course dinner and wine. I highly recommend this B&B.
