Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in room 1 and it was clean and comfortable, but the sink drained VERY slowly (kind of gross when trying to brush your teeth!). Beautiful view from the front porch and the large hot springs up on the hill. We sat out and watched the sunset.

Each room has a private hot spring "tub" in the ground, and you can regulate the temperature with a hose. It felt great after hiking that day!

Be warned that there is practically nothing out here, including possibly food, depending on the day you're there. The only dinner was 7 miles back up the road at the Sourdough Lodge. We were there on a Monday and this hotel's restaurant and the one right up the street were both closed.

We could only get the wi-fi to work in the parking lot.

The room had a small microwave and fridge which was nice for our leftovers.

The night we stayed there was cold, and the heater worked well.

It seemed a little expensive for how basic it was, but if you need to stay in this area (we had plans to go whitewater rafting there the next morning), it's good.

Once we checked in, though, there was no one around if we had needed anything. Two people pulled up in an RV and tried calling to see if they could park in the lot overnight, but no one answered. This wasn't a problem for us, but I recommend coming prepared.

This once great venue has suffered the plight of modern times. It has such potential and will be great again some day, the owner is working hard to renovate and restore this place. Mean while i camped there, and enjoyed the spendid pools, for very hot clear water to more swimming pool levels, all with a spectacular view. No food at the place yet but a great place just up the road,

Wow! This place is an absolute gem! My family had the best time playing in the private hot spring pool that we were able to rent! My 7yr old daughter said this place was five stars plus bonus! So good almost don’t want to write the review so we can keep it to ourselves.shhh don’t tell anyone, but go if you get the chance! The owners were also amazing to talk to and very down to earth and kind!

Attempted to make reservations for a full hookup RV three night camp trip. The process was a bit confusing! Picked a spot but was unable to complete the reservation online as their process then went through a series of emails. We were finally able to prepay/reserve, two weeks and several emails after initial process began. When we arrived there was no one present to help us check in. The store and restaurant were not open. There was one other camper there so we asked him and he said just pick a spot, any spot, and that the owners show up periodically? I reserved spot 7. However, the spots were not numbered so we guessed, and set up. As we were setting up we noticed excessive trash and junk laying around, garbage’s overflowing. We also noticed parts to a dead deer! Jaw bones, hooves, a leg…pretty gross.
The establishment noted free WiFi available, but since we were not able to find the owners, we had no password. In order to reserve an hour in their hot springs pool you had to go back to the website. I was hoping I could do this at checkin. I didn’t want to return to the website at this point, due to the difficulties reserving the campsite. Now we had no net (location is also not in cell service range for my husband’s phone). We were now unable to reserve a slot to use the hot springs pool! The pool was completely void of visitors so we walked in to check it out. Yikes! It was green with algae. A trash near the pool was heaping with cans from some party of the past. I felt like I was walking through a ghost town, minus the town. The final nail in the coffin was when my husband spotted a decomposing lizard in the pool! We left after one night and never used the pool. It’s sad because the location of that pool, overlooking the Payette River, with a beautiful mountain view is amazing!! If they could just clean it up, fix it up, put some money into their website, and offer good customer service, that place could be a gold mine! They also offered four little motel rooms with private hot tubs. So much missed potential…
