Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was our first time in a yurt. We stayed at the StarGaze for one night en route between McCall and Boise on our Idaho-Washington- Oregon trip. During summer you may park closer to the yurt - high clearance vehicle recommended but we made it in a sedan rental car. You pack your items the last little way. We found it to be well stocked with kitchen items - did not even need the proprane we brought so we left it there for the next guests. We brought sleeping bags and food. We enjoyed the view, the elevation, the nearby trail to the "end of the Stargaze line", reading the yurt journal, the sunset, the sunrise, and the peace and quiet. I am sure this would be an amazing place to visit in the winter! There is an outhouse that was stocked with TP and wash water tanks nearby. The solar lights are a fantastic addition and saved us on our lanterns. There were some pesky bees about but we still enjoyed hanging out in our hammocks enjoying the view.

My boyfriend, two dogs, and I traveled to this remote (Skyline) yurt in mid-January. It was an easy-moderate ski (it was my first time cross-country skiing and had a 55lb pack) but we're used to hiking and spending time outdoors. We were pretty worried if we were going to make it for our stay due to a big snow storm that closed the road prior to our reservation. We maintained communication with the staff and discussed our concerns about the snow depths and our two pooches, but they were SO helpful. When we showed up, the trail was groomed the night prior, and it wasn't even scheduled to be groomed that day. I don't believe this is something they do consistently for folks, but I was over-the-moon excited for their accommodations and desire for us to enjoy our time.

The yurt was very well kept and it is expected that guest clean up after themselves for the next user since the staff does not clean up after every stay - that would be a difficult feat considering the remote location and that's just standard for backcountry yurts. There were plenty of kitchen utensils and cooking items, as well as games, drawing paper, cards, etc. for the quiet nights. The wood was stocked near the fireplace and access to the woodshed underneath was easy. There were a TON of trails around the yurt to spend your days trekking outdoors and the only other sign of humans we heard was a jet flying overhead. If you're looking for a peaceful, silent, restorative winter getaway - this is your place.

We stayed one night in the Stargzer Yurt. It was truly spectacular! We had such a wonderful time. It was a short hike from the summer parking and then we had a beautiful view out over the valley. The sunset was spectacular, the beds were comfy, it was just perfect!

I stayed there with a friend and it was great. A short hike from our parked vehicle and everything we needed was inside. The experience was unique, quiet and seemed more in touch with nature than in a cabin.
