At the end of the day, the Garden Valley Motel isn't bad. The larger room we got was clean, though very plain. The problem is that we paid $102 for it. The Hyatt suite in Boise I'm staying at included breakfast for four, pool & spa, is less than that. Simply overpriced for what you get. Plus... even though you're in this amazing place... the view from one of our windows is of old broken down trucks while the other view is of a logging field with old equipment. Not nice. All in all... I would have been ok if this was $30 to $40 less... as long as it was for a single night.

I was surprised to see no review yet for this motel. We had a delightful stay here on our way to Craters of the Moon national monument. The $70 room had two comfortable queen beds, full kitchenette, tub, shower, quiet air conditioner, and fast Wi-Fi. The room was clean and featured lots of fresh paint, modern appliances, furniture with plenty of storage space and a table near power outlets for the laptop. The desk clerk was pleasant and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Note: the nearest full-service restaurant is the Longhorn in Crouch, 3 miles away.

A great little motel. Our room was spacious and just perfect! Clean-comfortable-has a kitchenette--manager is super nice--staff also wonderful! Stayed there a total of 5 nights and sure would recommend it if you are in the area!

Room was clean and nice, nothing fancy, basically just a bed and a bathroom.

Easy to reserve a room, not a beautiful place considering it is right next to a logging business w/equipment & trailers around but the hotel building itself was nice, had hanging flower baskets and pots of flowers all around, the room was decent, the air conditioner sounded like a small engine airplane going off, it was clean, small bathroom, had shampoo soap & lotion in room, coffee & tea in room, beds & pillows were a bit rough (recommend bringing your own pillow), was close to everything, check out was 11 which was nice.

Room Tip:Â Liked the bottom floor room, recommend a corner room though as the walls are thin.

We stayed here one night with friends after we got hit with a thunderstorm on our motorcycles. We had a regular room and one with a kitchenette. The owners/managers were very friendly and helpful. The room was $81. If this was in an actual real city the price would be high for what you get, but hey it's better than sleeping outside! The rooms were decent. They were moderately clean, the beds were </= average. The showers were clean, water pressure and temp good. It has a gravel parking lot and there is logging equipment etc around the motel on adjacent properties but you are probably not staying here for the view anyway. The exterior of the building was well-maintained and rustic-looking.
We would stay here again.

First off, this is not a B&B, it's a motel. We spent three days in Garden Valley attending the Starlight Mountain Theater and found this motel to be a pleasant and restful base of operations for our stay. The staff/manager was very friendly and my wife spent most of our first afternoon there sitting on the porch talking with her about the area. They happily accommodated a last minute request for an additional room, allowing my kids to have their own space for 2 of the 3 nights. The rooms were reasonably quiet and cleaned each day. Having the kitchenette was particularly nice as there aren't a lot of dining options in Garden Valley and this allowed us to do things on our own.

Stayed one night cause we went to the starlight theatre. Our room was right next to the front office. Definitely not cleaned!Trash was full in the bathroom, there was a towel stuffed in what looked like the fan in the bathroom, the room smelled like a gas station bathroom, towel stuffed on top of the air conditioner, only one towel to use, shower was dirty, the sign on the door said no smoking but found a pack of cigarettes in the room, also the ladies that worked there decided to smoke right in front of our room. Not kid friendly! Only nice thing was sitting outside on the deck and leaving.
