We stayed at Cascade Lake Inn for our ski trip at Tamarack Resort. We chose the Inn because it was much less expensive than Hotel Nobo. We stayed in Room 3 (two queen beds). The beds were comfortable and I like that there is no carpet on the floor. I wish there was a heater in the bathroom, because with the morning temperature at -8 degrees, it was very cold. There is a heat lamp, but it didn't provide much help. We cooked our own breakfast and dinner which saved us a lot of money. My only complaint is that there is no fan above the stove. After cooking bacon and eggs in the morning and hamburgers in the evening, the room seemed smokey. We will stay at the Inn again on our next ski trip.

2nd time for an extended stay. Everything was great. I had an issue with my credit card and the management was very patient as I worked that out (the night before I checked out). I enjoyed my stay and the staff and management were very cognizant of the pandemic. My room was clean upon check in and they only came into my room when invited (via text or when I was able to contact the wonderful person on premises). I was treated like a Prince (William more than Harry) and will definitely stay there for next trip or vacation. Thanks CLI people.

We were pleasantly suprised. Room was very clean and the decor was very much to our liking. Showers are ceramic tile, the room was done in pine with a smart efficient setup for coffee pot/storage. Will stay here again.

Overall it was ok. Our biggest complaint was the Inn never bothered to tell us that they would be closed on Monday & Wednesday. Therefore, we waited for our room to be cleaned & refreshed. We were told to read the notebook in the room. It states they’re open every day & to put a card on the door letting them know you would like to have your room tidied.
A note that was left in our room for us told us that the room had been checked over by management. It appeared to be clean until we used the coffee pot & microwave. They were filthy. When we called the front desk on Monday of our stay, there was an answering service that told us they were not open on Mon. & Wed. She said there was nothing she could do. We insisted we needed linens & would like more coffee. She then told us she’d try to find someone. Within 15-20 min., someone brought us mostly what we’d asked for. Prior to that we emailed them with never a reply.🙁
Pros- fake fireplace with heat, comfortable bed
Cons- besides above, heater would not stay on & it got below 12. 🥶

My room was cramped, small and way over priced. Motel is run remotely, the office is closed and everything is on computer lock key. Forget ice as it’s in the office.
I called Laura, the manager/owner? A day before to request an early check in as I was on a month-long bike trip and I needed to attend do some maintenance items. She responded very negatively, and gave me many reasons why an early check-in was not possible but, in the end said “ i’ll see what I can do”
I arrived at 1 PM as I said I would. My pre-assigned room was already cleaned & ready. Received a text from Laura with room access code that couldn’t be used until 2 PM. She knew I was there, because the housekeeper called her…….. yet she made me wait almost an hour in the heat. Very nasty and spiteful‼️
Customer accommodation, even when it’s easy, is not a priority for the Cascade Lake Inn. Arrogant & rude.
I’ll certainly know better next time as there are many other choices in town, including The Palooza Basecamp & Eatery Hotel and restaurant right down the street.

Warning ⛔️ stay away from this place as they don’t appreciate customers, or treat them with much respect.

The rooms were clean and reasonably laid out. The mini-fridge was placed on shelf such that the top shelves and freezer were in accessible. The blinds were broken and could not be raised or lowered. The door was so squeaky we had to lubricate the hinges with PAM. The biggest problem was the noise. The motel is right on a busy road and the noise of the cars and the trucks could be heard all night, particulary if you opened the windows, which became necessary cause the AC did not work well. so if you are a light sleeper this could be a problem

This little gem is perfectly located within easy access of all there is to do in the area, including a short walk to the store for provisions. The room was like a cozy cabin, complete with fireplace (ok, an electric one mounted on the wall) but non-the less adding delightfully to the cute cabin feel. The best part: this was probably the cleanest room I have ever stayed in. Friendly staff, welcoming fire pit in front.....5 stars!

We loved having a couple of rooms here! We got one room with a kitchen, which allowed us to cook our meals and save money that way. The other room had two beds, a small fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. At night, we sat around the fire and spoke with Erin, the amazing manager. This was the perfect place for us to unwind and visit. Each room has Netflix and internet available. You can also sign in to any of your own accounts because they have smart tvs. We will be back!!!

The new renovation and paint looks amazing! Oh! We LOVED the LED fireplaces!!!

Not a bad little place to stay, BUT...be aware that they have an issue with water pressure in the showers and it is extremely noisy. We booked a 3 night stay, but ended up leaving after night two due to noise and an unbearable shower. The water pressure is so high it’s painful- I kid you not! You can’t put you face in the stream of water and it literahurts to face it, especially if you are female. The shower is small so the shower.cant even be moved off to the side. We contacted the front desk (office was closed on a Sat which is where the ice machine is, so we had to call the number listed. that you can’t even put your face u see the stream or face it if you are female.told it haan ongoing issue and blamed it on the city water department.

Thank you for your review. The water pressure has been fixed with pressure regulators. The city water department had been trying to help, but normal pressure to a property is between 40-45 psi and we were getting 70 psi! They have never had a problem with too much pressure, it is normally too little, so they were not sure how to help. We have since installed pressure regulators on each shower and guests can control how much or how little pressure they want. Have a wonderful day and please consider coming back to stay with us again!

My husband and I stayed here for a quick ice-fishing trip this past weekend. The rooms have been updated. The bed was super comfortable and the room was very clean. Philip was extremely helpful as I had to change our reservations, and he even called me ahead of check-in to let me know our room was ready early. We will definitely stay here again.
