The Drury Plaza Hotel Valdosta garners praise for its cleanliness, with guests often remarking on the spotless rooms and well-kept facilities, although a few note the vacuuming could be more thorough. While the hotel's location is appreciated for its easy interstate access, some advise caution during specific times of the year. Guests enjoy the complimentary meals and drinks, yet some feel the rooms could benefit from modern updates. The service stands out as friendly and attentive, contributing to the hotel's reputation for good value.

We absolutely LOVE this hotel! Everytime we walk through the front door, we are instantly greeted by various staff letting us know how happy they are that we came and offered up some friendly pats for our small dog. Rajah was at the front desk this year, with her sparkly personality and genuine smile. She had us checked-in in no time with the perfect room, let us know about supper, free drinks and some of the amenities, and let us know she was available if we needed anything else. It's just such a welcoming environment ... bright, open and spotlessly clean!

A buffet dinner is served from 5:30 - 7pm. Shout out to Reggie from your new Canadian friends. He was engaging and charming, and cheerfully made sure we had everything we needed. His attention to detail is unsurpassed and he has a GREAT sense of humour. He and my hubby joked back and forth throughout the evening.

Our room was super-comfortable. Love the walk-in showers with the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in dispensers on the wall. Sure beats trying to get it out of those little bottles. The soft and fluffy bed made me feel like I was sleeping on a cloud. The sheets and pillows have a lovely, fresh scent to them that makes me want to stay there forever.

This Drury Inn made us fans of The Drury Inn Chain overall and it's become our go-to spot on our yearly trek to Florida. Kudos to the entire team at this hotel!

I decided to stay here because of the stars, reviews and the indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, free dinner and breakfast. You get 3 adult beverages with your stay as well. It was a little more costly so I was expecting it to be a little more luxurious but I dont stay at many hotels either.
We lived the pool and the food was eh ok, im hoping breakfast is better.
The things I think they meed to change is; locks on the bathroom doors, hand soap( instead of a facial bar) by the sink, maybe even antibacterial, trash bags in the cans, and more than 1 rolls of toilet paper for 4 people in a room. It goes quick! The cable didnt work at first but it started back within the hr.
The staff was very friendly at checkin! Not so much when I had to keep asking for toilet paper 😂but overall the staff is great!
The staff with the food and I think a manager? Were fantastic and so friendly and making sure everyone ws taking care of!
The rooms are clean as far as I can tell.
I love the tile and showers in the bathroom! They also have shampoo, conditioner and body wash inside the shower!

While traveling from Ft Lauderdale FL to our home in North Georgia we stayed one night at this Drury Inn and Suites. Our stay was short but very pleasant. We needed a wheel in shower room but these rooms were not available so we made do with a handicapped accessible room with a tub/shower combo, lots of grab bars around the tub and toilet and also a very sturdy shower seat was provided. This room was at the end of the hall on the sixth floor and away from the elevators ......very quiet. Room 602.

We enjoy staying at hotels with the Drury name as the kick-back evening meal and the breakfast are always very good. On this particular evening their was a large turn out for the kick back function and the dining area was full .........someone had the great idea to open up a meeting room for extra seating and this really helped the crowded situation.

A huge compliment to Willis who was the only employee who I observed supplying refills for all the food offerings ..........he was working very very hard and quickly to restock items. And managing to smile also.

Nice one night stay and yes, we will stay here again.

Noisy checked in for a overnight stay to get some rest before getting back on road. It’s like a party in the parking lot and the staff isn’t trying to control noise. Bikers were parked right next to entrance directly in front of bldg so when they turned on bikes with exhaust and rammed up you could hear throughout the hotel. Loud music. They should have been told to park so many feet away from bldg to decrease the noise for others. What about your other patrons that are not a part of the group booking. My husband rides bikes but this was just ridiculous that the hotel staff didn’t intervene. I will never stay here again and would not recommend to my clients as I am a travel agent with Intel travel and retired military. if they are having a group they need to ensure other patrons are on the back side away from noise and parking lot so we can enjoy our stay as well. Very disappointed and this is my first stay at this chain and most likely my last. Staying in Drury Valdosta. This discomfort is not unacceptable and people should be compensated for their discomfort. $136 room in a supposedly 3-star hotel and you don’t even get your money’s worth. My recommendation is to stay away for Drury Valdosta. Rooms are average more like a 2-star. Furniture worn. I normally stay with Marriott or Hilton but not available for the time I needed so I choose this one for immediate check-in. I really regret it now. Bed is hard. Cleaning average. Can’t wait till tomorrow to check out. Purchased some cookies that was expired and to go back down and replace. Just inconvenience all around. No trash bags in can not sure if that is by design. Small fridge (with no temp gauge to set desired temp and microwave. TV channels no signal. A/C seems to work fine.

How many places have you stayed recently and were told about the complementary "breakfast"? Just grab a sack, Mac, and take it to your room. A muffin, a banana and juice. AKA "The Covid Special". Sound familiar? Is this the new normal?
Well not at the Drury Inn Valdosta! We checked into our spacious room and then enjoyed an afternoon meal featuring REAL FOOD. Pulled pork barbeque, beans, wieners and buns, mixed vegetables, salad, rich, chunky, chicken noodle soup, wine, and all kinds of soda beverages. As much as you wanted and all included with the room. We sat in a real dining room with plenty of spaced out seating. The attendants politely asked guests to wear masks and provided gloves while you get your food, and all surfaces were wiped clean. No silly standing spots on the floor. We were treated like grown-ups.
Next morning the breakfast was very good with hot, fresh waffles (remember them?), sausages, eggs, potatoes, fruit, cereal, coffee, etc, etc.
The Drury has an indoor/outdoor pool and jetted hot tub. We did not try the water but checked the facility which smelled clean.
Our room smelled fresh; the bath sparkled. The tub/shower water pressure was very good.
The Drury allows pets to stay, but the housekeepers are doing a great job cleaning. The place did not smell like an animal shelter.
There are two elevator/lifts at the Drury, and they were fast. We never had to wait in line.
I really tried to find something negative to provide a balanced review, but I cannot. Well, you do have to zig-zag around the surrounding restaurants to get to the property, but that is really being picky. And there are several restaurants within walking distance; Nice ones such as steak houses and Italian.
In summary, we have found our new permanent midway stop to sunshine.

Customer service is lacking!!! We made a reservation for four people. We arrived, went to check in and the customer service clerk asked for ID and the credit card and I placed both on the counter. She used her pen to move the cards around so she could see them without touching them. Okay, I get it, COVID is a risk. When we got to our room we saw that there were only 2 bath towels so we called housekeeping to bring more. They didn't come so we called again and this time the housekeeping staff said they would bring them to the door and drop them on the floor so that there would be no contact. RUDE and DIRTY! They knew we were a party of four, they should have stocked the room correctly in the first place. We also found a pair of eyeglasses, in their case, sitting on the TV stand. Obviously this room was not cleaned well or the maid would have found them. We would probably not stay again.

The hotel was clean and quiet. When we arrived it was busy with weekend guest traffic. A bit much considering Covid restrictions. There were substantially fewer guests during the weekdays. Employees wore masks but most of the guests did not. The staff was courteous and friendly.
Most notably was the very terrible tasting coffee. It tasted like old used dishwater. Frankly I went to Starbucks every day to get my coffee because it was so bad and I do not frequent Starbucks. The food lacked imagination and had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. That included both breakfast and the social hour food. Drury corporate should hire a corp. chef to establish better meals with quality, variety, and nutrition in mind. These meal choices lacked all with the exception of taco Tuesday evening which actually tasted pretty good and had a slightly better nutrition quality than fried chicken nuggets or noodles with a flavorless white blah Alfredo sauce. I swear the same sauce was used on their biscuits and gravy for morning breakfast. A marinara sauce for the noodles would’ve been much better, and much more nutritious but was not provided. And the jets on the swimming pool Jacuzzi did not work. It wasn’t worth the 100 bucks a night. And the whiskey that is served during this social hour must have very low alcohol content if any at all. Had it straight up and felt nothing at all.

On January 10 we stayed at the Drury Inn and Suites in Valdosta, GA. #1 it was easy to find and close to interstate. Check in was super fast as I had made a reservation online. Desk immediately informed me of their happy hour and continental breakfast the next morning. With Covid in play we were very concerned how they would handle social distancing, disinfecting etc. WOW they nailed it by doing a really good job. We were headed out to dinner and decided to run through and see what happy hour was offering. Let's just say we never left the building. We literally had dinner, went back to our room and chilled for the rest of the evening. The next morning we had a very good hot breakfast and it (as was the happy hour) was served by the friendliest folks. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. No problems anywhere. Knew I'd be coming back through in 2 weeks so as I checked out I made another reservation. These folks are doing it right - treating people like they really care about them. Thank you for making me a fan of Drury Inns.

This is our fourth stay at this hotel and always on New Years Eve as we head south to Florida. The staff are always well prepared for a sellout crowd. You can’t beat the Drury for value with their Kcikback buffet and morning breakfast all included.

I would suggest to the Drury that on particularly busy evenings they expand the Kickback times to spread out the lines a bit more for food and drinks.

We will certainly be back.

We love Drury Inn, but this location was an epic disappointment. It is obvious that housekeeping and maintenance do not communicate. We had multiple problems in our room from a broken shower, broken door, thermostat that was stuck on 71 degrees, and Wi-Fi that would not stay connected. There were sugar ants all over from candy that had been stuck behind the bed. We requested blankets and towels from the front desk, and they never brought them. Normally at Drury they have coffee, tea, and soda available in the lobby, but this location they locked the cabinets up outside of breakfast and KickBack. The mattresses were so old and worn out that you sank towards the middle, and we woke up with very sore backs. Would not ever stay here again, but we do love Drury Inn at other locations.
