The Hampton Inn & Suites Valdosta/Conference Center has received mixed feedback, with numerous guests highlighting the need for room maintenance and expressing concerns about cleanliness, particularly in the bathrooms and rooms. Despite these criticisms, the hotel staff's friendliness and professionalism have earned positive remarks. However, the atmosphere is marred by worn furniture, and there's a consensus that the hotel doesn't provide good value due to its high prices and outdated condition. Some travelers do appreciate the included breakfast and efforts to maintain clean common areas.

An older hotel, pretty well kept up - fantastic water pressure in the shower, good tub, very clean room. Only problem was the mattress/bed, which was absolutely horrible. We'd have switched rooms except it was awfully late and everyone was very tired. But check your bed first - ours creaked, lumped, and gave all of us sore backs in the morning!

The Hampton Inn in Valdosta is always our consistent choice when travelling from Indiana to Florida. It is clean, reasonably priced, where you get a good nights sleep, and the complimentary breakfast is always hot and fresh to start your day. The app for checking in along with the digital key makes checkin a breeze.

We were on our way to Florida and I made a reservation for one night at this hotel. Check in was efficient except we did not receive our water as Hilton Honors members. So, I had to go back to the front desk to ask for the water. The room had the sticker on the door to assure us that the room was clean which we appreciated. And it was clean.
The room was described as having a sitting area. I thought that might mean a couch or a couple of chairs. I was disappointed that there was just one chair! It made me feel like if I book at the Hampton Inn again, I need to be careful and ask questions if I am in doubt about anything. However, I found the description to be misleading . The room needs updating or at least some repair of worn out things such as peeling wallpaper, cracked tiles and furniture that is chipped. But, the linens were of good quality and the beds were comfortable.
Shortly after our arrival, we really looked forward to a cup of coffee. I tried pouring the dark roast coffee and then the light roast and both were barely warm. The decaf was hot, but we really didn’t want that. I reported this to the front desk and they said that the coffee was being brewed. So, we went back to the room for awhile and then returned to the lobby. The dark roast had not been brewed which is what we prefer, but the light roast was hot so that is what we settled for.
They have what they call a Social Hour at this hotel so there are free alcoholic beverages. We don’t drink alcohol. We thought there might be some snacks as the other Hampton Inns we have stayed at in the past had served them at their Social Hours. But, this place served no snacks. They explained it was because of the pandemic. We can somewhat understand, but we were also disappointed about that.
Then, the next morning, we went down for the free breakfast. It seemed like they really skimped on that since what they offered were the pre frozen omelettes warmed up, some potatoes and a biscuit. And that is all that was offered! We had stayed at another Hampton Inn the night before and there were many choices as was always the case whenever we have visited this hotel chain in the past. So, that was another disappointment!
Needless to say, we will not be returning to this hotel. It was below the usual standards we have always found when staying at a Hampton Inn!

Pretty standard Hampton. We have stayed here before But their attitude towards covid 19 is total indifference. The staff doesn't wear masks. Hard surfaces like the registration desk are regularly sanitized. The elevators and luggage carts weren't regularly cleaned either judging by all the hand smudges. They are using coffee dispensers that everyone touches but no wipes to disinfect them. The place will likely breed dozens of new cases. Shameful behavior.

Thank you for taking the time to complete a survey of our property. Feedback from our guests is always greatly appreciated! I am sorry about your experience with the cleanliness of our lobby, which is not the norm for our hotel. We take cleanliness very seriously here at Hampton. Our employees are supposed to wear a mask for their shift. Unfortunately, we had run out of mask during a short period but we had an order placed it just came in a few days late. We have taken steps to ensure the issues you experienced do not reoccur and we have spoken with our entire staff concerning these topics. Please come back again soon and enjoy some true southern hospitality.

Traveled for 1st Covid era time to attend graduation of grandson and hotel made us feel safe and welcome. Amenities, service and staff made us feel safe and comfortable. Room was sanitized and sealed upon our arrival and staff didn’t enter our room unless we requested it.
Other than masks on staff, all was what we have come to like and expect at Hilton properties.

Our room was pretty filthy and in poor condition, especially for the price. The seal was in place on the door indicating it had been “sanitized.” Everything was sticky. The housekeepers will only come once a week (Thursday) if you request it, if you stay 3 consecutive days or more. They no longer put the garbage bag in the trash but are nice enough to leave for you to do it. You must also set your trash outside your room in order for it to be taken.

Our room had a piece of pizza on the floor and lamp. Not ours. Couch torn, eyelashes in our sheets. Fortunately we were only staying one night. In this case, “you get what you pay for” didn’t apply as we found it quite pricey for the condition. We will not be staying here on our way home as we originally intended as it is a good stopping point.

This hotel's greatest asset is its people. Every staff member was cheerful, helpful and concerned about their guests. I especially was impressed with Tracee who kept her cheery disposition even when everything was going crazy. The facility is not in good condition. It is very noisy (ask for a room on the top floor) the HVAC is noisy and a variety of things don't work.

In our first room it sounded like people were coming thru the ceiling at any moment. It bothered us a lot but we were going to tough it out until later when people expect to be quiet. We tried to use the AC but it rattled so badly we could not stand to listen to it.. Then the fire alarms went off and we all had to stand outside In our PJ'S. There was no fire but one of the sprinkler lines ruptured. Once back inside the war above us began again. By now it was late enough we complained about the noise and asked to have someone look at the AC. Nothing changed. A half hour later I had to call the desk again. By now the room wS getting really hot. Eventually the people above us quieted down but it was too hot to sleep. They moved us to another room.

The lights by the beds did not work in that room, but the AC was better. There was still noise from above but all in all it was an improvement.

Breakfast was awful. Eggs tasted fake and salty. I could not eat anything but an English muffin.

I think 3 stars is very generous. I am giving this rating solely because the staff is amazing.

My husband, children and I took an impromptu trip to Valdosta to visit Wild Adventure during this pandemic. Upon booking, we decided to stay at the Hampton in Valdosta, because, we know the Hampton is always nice. The check in process was smooth and very pleasant. We arrived in our room, and I noticed our room on the outside did not have the Lysol sticker showing that it had been sanitized. Being the OCD mom right now during this pandemic, I am glad I brought Lysol wipes along. I wipped everything imaginable down in the room and sprayed everything with Lysol.
We ventured to the pool area and that is when I noticed how unclean the area was. Cigarette butts everywhere, soaked towels, trash laying everywhere, including empty beer cans.
We did stay our 2 nights and the kids visited the pool each night and the area was not any cleaner either night. I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of this hotel. Especially, the Hampton, that generally alwayd has clean facilities.

My husband and I noticed the beds in our room looked a bit disheveled, but since we had broken the clean seal on entering the room, we thought maybe the housekeeper was new or in a hurry. When I pulled back the duvet cover, the top sheet underneath on one of the queen beds was all wrinkled (see attached picture) and had definitely been slept in or used.
I called the front desk and was told I could either make up the beds with clean sheets I would be provided (honestly, that was the offer!) or we could come downstairs and they would give us a new room. At the front desk, we were offered an upgraded room (I said I would take any clean room), and I told the Front Desk Clerk I wanted to speak to the manager. The Clerk went out of sight and when she came back, she told me that the manager was on a call (this is now 10pm), was too busy to speak to me AND there were no available rooms - our only option for staying there that night was the bed-making. I refused to touch those dirty sheets and told the clerk we would find another hotel.
In the meantime, another couple approached the front desk and complained about their room with dirty towels on the floor. While I was on the phone with hotels in the area, I saw the clerk hand that couple new keys. I immediately asked her why there was an available room for that couple, but there hadn't been one available for us earlier. The clerk attempted to engage me in an argument, but I told her I would not argue with her. I couldn't believe that this night clerk was lying to me and also wanted to argue with me in the lobby of the hotel. My husband and I left immediately and did find a room several miles down the road.
I know everyone can make mistakes and obviously housekeeping had an off day that day, BUT I was amazed at how rudely we were treated and that the hotel management expected us to change dirty sheets during a pandemic, no less.
What a horrible experience that I hope is never repeated!
I spoke with Hilton Guest Assistance after this incident and they assured me that we would not be charged for the room and that the incident would be reported to the hotel manager and owner.

Needed a clean, quiet place to overnight on our way to SW Florida. This Hampton Inn is an A+ in my opinion. The front desk clerks were professional and friendly. The room was immaculate and housekeeping puts a seal on each door to assure that it is sanitized. We had a problem with the TV and maintenance was there within minutes to fix it. The AC is quiet, the room is quiet, the bathroom is nice, bed is comfy, and I love the pillows/linens. Breakfast was cafeteria style, coffee was great. Bottom line - we felt safe, the place is very clean, staff is great!

We do! We only have two room types that connect. Our 2 queen standard rooms and then our 2 queen studio suites. Just let the hotel know when you are calling to either make the reservation or to confirm it.
