The rooms in the Quality Inn smell rather moldy. The parking lot has plenty of room and if you travel with dog(s), there is a big airing yard on the backside of the hotel. HOWEVER.....Unless you like hearing bowling balls slamming into pins from the bowling alley that's in basically a pole barn next door, stay away from this hotel.
If you enjoy broadening your knowledge about the more ethnic ways of life by looking out your hotel window, this is the place for you! I wouldn't stay here again even if it was free.

Old and going to seed. Needs touch up paint in rooms and lobby. The “breakfast” room is dark and shoddy. And then there is the “free breakfast”. The very worst I have ever encountered, and that is saying something. A few greasy sausages and some kind of egg product. No bagels. No fruit. Everything appears to have been sitting there for a week. Just disgusting.

Rooms smelled very much of chemicals- wonder if recently fumigated? Moved rooms to find less odor- staff was very helpful. But windows don't open and doors don't seal well- hard to air out. Is area to air dogs, but I felt less than secure. Breakfast minimal. Rooms passably clean, just can't get over odors.

I always pull covers back to inspect fresh sheets visually. This bed linen was never changed. I called desk staff, she came, inspected then retrieved fresh sheets and made the bed.
Watching tv and mapping my next day route as I sat on the bed; I saw bugs coming from different directs on the sheets and from under the pillows.
I took pictures, called the front desk and said I was checking out because of bedbugs or baby roaches 🪳 in the bed. I said I would expect my credit card to be re-imbursed. Four days later and I have heard nothing.

We travel to Thomasville as family is located there and have been staying at this property for many years. The room was in excellent shape, it had been totally refurbished and very clean. We were extremely impressed with the hotel and the many upgrades of recent years.

We will be back!

The conditions at this hotel were so deplorable and unsanitary that I cannot stay silent. I must warn others, especially if they are allergic to mold. In years past, we were satisfied with this hotel. For this visit, we planned to stay for a week while visiting Thomasville on bereavement. We had to leave after only 3 days because we became ill (due to mold) and were sick and tired of being moved from one disgusting room to another. We experienced filthy conditions, mold, musty odors, bugs, spiders, dirty carpet, urine smells, and stained bed linens (some of which had holes in them). Of lesser concern was the outdated décor and furniture which could have easily been overlooked if this place was sanitary.

I have pictures and video of our experience, but I will not post them in hopes that management will address the problems in a timely fashion.

Upon a 1AM checkin, we were assigned two rooms, both of which were dirty. My room had toothpaste in the sink, a very moldy odor, hair on the toilet, the floor was filthy and littered with trash and the towels were shredding fibers. The bathroom ceiling had mold on it. It is only because we had driven for over 18 hours straight that we stayed until morning. Sleep eluded us, though, because there was a loud altercation occurring in the room behind us.

In the morning we intended to checkout and move to another hotel, but the staff assured us that all the rooms were not that bad. They offered to move us and showed us other rooms, one of which was so bad that it had mold on the wall and a portion of the wall was soft to the touch. I pointed this out and advised that they address this health problem immediately and not let anyone reside in this room.

We agreed to a downstairs suite which appeared clean and smelled of deodorizer. I was hopeful and thankful that we did not have to repack and drive to another location because we were so darn tired. When we returned to the room later after the funeral, the carpet was SOAKED and the room smelled disgusting. The carpet was loose and we discovered black mold under the carpet. There was a slimy green growth under the floor lamp which sat in the water.

I later found out that there had been a flood in Thomasville and I suspect that the downstairs rooms flooded. With flooding, soft goods and drywall must be removed immediately to prevent unsanitary conditions like mold growth.

The third and final move was to an upstairs non-smoking room which smelled of smoke. The air vent in the bathroom was covered in black dust. In the AM, we discovered that there was no hot water. According to the staff, there was no hot water the night before, but the guests were not told of this. We should have moved to another hotel the first night.

Also worth noting is the poor quality of the breakfast, despite the obvious efforts of the attendant who was also covering the front desk. We experienced no coffee cups, no coffee, and no plates. Try eating your waffles in a bowl! There were no eggs. The only redeeming foods were the gravy and biscuits. At this point, we were just sick and tired and wanted to go home. Our experience was dreadful.

I want to compliment the courteous nature of the staff, especially the front desk staff (Alisha). They were great ambassadors for this dilapidated and neglected facility. The staff tried to accommodate us in absence of the management who was out of the country. It is management that must address the deplorable facility problems. The staff cannot correct a mold problem, they cannot replace worn out linens, they cannot replace carpets, they cannot clean air handling units, they cannot buy kitchen items; that is the responsibility of management. The staff did the best they could with the tools they were given. I hope that the staff is recognized for their efforts.

The Quality Inn on US 19 was not a pleasant experience. First, they misrrepresented the price of the room, and afterwards, we discovered they had given the lady behind us TWO rooms for less money than we paid for one. It was aproximately 9:30PM when we arrived and children were in the mall playing and making lots of noise. As soon as we entered the room, a customoer with a dog, came to the adjacent room (where there was another dog) and they began to bark. This continued on and off throughout the night. There was also dogs barking outside, which we discovered when leaving the next morning. When we awoke, we made coffee, only to discover the creamer was older than the motel itself, and had hardened into a flat pie. When checking out, we received little satisfaction. It was a terrible way to spend a night, especially not knowing if the hurricane was destroying our home back in Florida. I would discourage anyone from staying in such an environment and would not rcommend Quality Inns to anyone. Our experiences with Hampton Inns was much better.

Being an older motel, all the rooms had a smokey or a musky odor to them. Price was good and the location is good. Relatively quiet with lots of parking. Staff was friendly and helpful. Fine for the budget minded just looking for a place to sleep.

Our room was okay. Bathroom was old and gross. People next door in 137 had roaches. Don't give Rod the bartender your credit card. Guy sitting next to me had a $300 dolar tip added to his check. Rod blamed him?? Left early, bar got sketchy fast. Bathroom in lobby was filthy the whole time we were there.
