Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On our arrival, we were impressed as the hotel is built in the downtown area, has been built to fit in with a great visual appeal.
The suite was spacious, laid out well with the sleeping area away from a sitting area. The bathroom is set up nice with a walk in shower. We later found out the bathroom turns into a bit of a pool as the shower wall does not extend far enough allowing water to cover the floor. There was no bathroom fan so everything stayed damp. The sink drain was installed improperly and was stuck closed.
As we settled in we found no extra towels, no welcome gift bag, or vouchers for breakfast which is a Marriott standard for my status. When I asked I was told ‘we don’t offer vouchers for breakfast or a welcome bag’.
In the room, we heard TVs, showers, hairdryers, and conversations from other rooms. Each night we heard every car that passed the hotel and determined many corners were cut in the construction inside especially around sound reduction in the walls, doors, and windows. We ran the AC fan to cover some of the noise.
The lighting systems need work. The motion sensor lights near the bathroom worked about a 1/3 of the time. The master light switch is overly complicated and did not allow a bedside light to run.
The TVs were nice, large, great color but the TV streaming did not work for Netflix or HBO.
There was there was a daily money grab on my AMEX leading AMEX to notify me asking why.
The owners need to check the hotel and address the numerous issues.

As soon as you pull up there is a sense that this hotel fits in great with the historic down town area. Although it is brand new build, I felt like I was walking back in time. The lobby was beautiful with separate seating areas through out the lobby, bar and outdoor areas. There were a few groups the weekend I stayed and it was amazing how the hotel was able to manage the numbers. The staff was incredibly friendly. My room had everything I needed. Comfortable bed, plenty of lighting and electrical outlets. Nice large TV. Loved the motion lights ... I did not need to keep a light on at night, when I climbed out of bed a light would pop on and no worries about tripping over something. The shower had three large pumps for body wash, shampoo and conditioner, no running out and asking for more. There was a small fridge, microwave and a Keurig Coffee maker. The AC worked great and would go down to 65 degrees. The location was perfect could walk downtown and choose from numerous shops and restaurants. (Note downtown area is closed on Sundays). Great stay and look forward to coming back.

Beautiful property, looks like a boutique hotel and not a Courtyard. Very clean, property is only 6 months old and it shows. Located 45 min from the FSU campus, we stayed here for Parent's Weekend as all of the Tallahassee properties tripled their nightly rates and I am not spending $399 per night for a 3 star hotel.

The bed was super comfy, the shower was great, the only complaint is that the walls are very thin so you can hear people talking. I would stay here again!

I reserved two rooms in April and received a confirmation. I was surprised when I checked the Marriott App several weeks later on April 24, 2021 and discovered no up coming trips. I contacted Marriott and was told my reservations were canceled by the hotel, but she did not know why. She explained that she would rebook my rooms. Marriott stated that the would contact the hotel and have them call me and explain why they canceled my rooms without telling me and they would apologize. I never heard from the hotel. I checked in on May 7 and requested a late checkout. I was told I did not have to check out until 2:00 pm. I placed the do not disturb on the door. Imagine my surprise when I received a knock on my door at 11:00. It was housekeeping telling me I needed to check out. I explained that we were told that we did not have to check out till 2:00. She said okay and left. Fifteen minutes later, she was back knocking on our door. She stated that the front desk had nothing in their system about us checking out at 2:00. I told her I would call the front desk. I called the front desk explained everything to her and she said okay, we could check out at 2:00. No one apologized for the error or for waking us up. Apparently this Marriott hotel does not believe in apologizing for their mistakes. The hotel itself is brand new and very clean. However the curtains do not close and the sun shines in. Also one of the lights in our room was covered with cardboard and tape. I have never stayed at a hotel that covered the light with cardboard and tape.

This new property is amazing and completely unexpected. We stopped here to overnight on a longer trip, but it was a highlight of the week. There are great outdoor seating areas, a nice bar in the lobby, and excellent amenities. The rooms are very large and open for a standard hotel. It was worth every penny spent.

The smart TV also provides access for you to log into your streaming platforms and has a single log out/privacy feature. An added bonus is the outside air always spells of fresh baked bread from the bakery down the road.

This property is brand new and way overrated . For the top dollar they
charge you get absolutely no amenities . No morning coffee or breakfast , nor even a newspaper . The building has horrid acoustics , you could hear neighbors in all directions all night. You have to flip multiple switches , just to get the bedside lamp on Not everyone is a tech junkie .Very nice property , just felt the WAS NOT WORTH
THE AMOUNT SPENT ,Also , spent all morning paging housekeepers over the loudspeakers . Very unusual situation . Very nice property , but just an average stay .

First off, the location is convenient for the downtown area of shops, restaurants, etc.....Rooms were nicely appointed but that's where it stopped for us....Walls were super thin, loud hallways, one elevator and staff allowed people to be in the pool area well after posted hours. Think we picked the wrong weekend as people above us were loud, pool area was loud until after midnight and even when we called the front desk a few times nothing happened so needless to say not a good nights rest.

Fantastic hotel with the nicest staff members you will ever come across. Hotel is well designed and beautiful. We stayed 3 nights in a 2 Queen bed suite and the room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The grounds were well kept. The entire staff from check-in, house cleaning, bar and kitchen staff, etc were all 5-star. You could not walk thru the hotel without someone asking if you needed something and or how your day was going. We had breakfast 2 out of the 3 mornings and it was very good. I cannot say enough about how great this hotel is and would definitely recommend it. On top of all this, you cannot beat the location . Walking distance to beautiful downtown Thomasville.

Overall, the hotel was ok. It is a within walking distance of historic Thomasville, GA and well designed with comfortable bedrooms and common areas. The downtown and surrounding neighborhood is full of architectural gems.
The hotel staff were welcoming and accommodating. The room was noisy. It faced the street. The food is not good. If you show up on a Sunday or Monday you will have little else to choose from. It is a great overnight for Florida bound travelers.

My husband is a titanium elite member, and I have travel a lot with him, so we have extensive experiences with Marriott hotels. This one was ok. Good location. Very Clean. Smelled good. Pillows were comfortable. But for the price ( it was overly priced) they missed some marks. No disposal headphones for use in gym. Only two of the four tread mills work. And Mattresses were actually pretty hard. I’d stay here again, but the weekend rate really was over priced. Not worth over 200$ a night. It’s not a bed and breakfast, so I don’t know why the price is so high.
