Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

For the money this is your best bet for Elberton. Average stay for a single adult is $50 and that is with tax included! The other hotels are much more expensive although not much nicer. Carpet a little thread bare but generally the rooms are acceptably clean. This is an economy hotel. It seems to be a better choice than the Days inn and certainly better than some of the shadier hotels. Over the years of traveling to work in this town I have had a chance to stay in almost all of the hotels in town. This one gets my vote.

Very Similar to Holiday Inn. Had fridge, hairdryer, microwave, cold air. Room smelled musty. Had cont breakfast but only had 2 tables in the lobby so we didn't even eat there. $67 for pet room, nice price. We drove around the parking lot of all the other hotels in the town and they all had 1 entrance that didnt even loop around the motels and dead ended to skanky alley ways and dumpsters and the others were more crowded. Pretty sure we got the best value for our money in that county.

Beverly was working at the front desk when I checked in. She is an outstanding employee and truly tried to make things better, however, this hotel is just not guest friendly.

*2 different non-smoking rooms smell strongly of cigarette smoke. Both smelled musty, too.
*The shower head is so low that I had to contort to wash my hair. i am only 5'9".
*There were only 2 smallish bath towels provided for a 4 person room. When I asked the woman from housekeeping for more towels, she replied, "I don't know why there are only 2; you'll have to ask the front desk. I just work here." Direct quote!!!
*Advertised for free internet- connection is poor or fair in various locations around DN property. Connectivity is spotty and inconsistent.
* There is no table in either of the double rooms I was in so you must eat on the beds. I did not utilize the continental breakfast included with the room.
* There was a desk with one chair next to the TV. However, there are no power outlets nearby so you have to use your computer either in bed or at the vanity area. I guess that one person could eat there:).
*The room was roughly $65 for one night. Not too bad when compared to Atlanta, but other hotels have better guest friendly rooms.

I live in Atlanta, but was raised in Elberton. This hotel is not anything as I expected and is substandard by any measure. However, Beverly was outstanding and really did try to accommodate, even moving me to a new room when the first one smelled of smoke and the internet was so spotty. She was incredibly nice and compassionate and her attitude never wavered during my interactions with her. She might be the only good thing this place has going for it:)

Very clean hotel!! I was very pleased with this hotel as it was our first stay in Elberton. We walked in and to our surprise, rates were extremely good for it's room. Rooms were well maintained and staff was courteous. Would stay there again!

Pulled in to Hartwell Ga. looking for a good price on a room. Daynite inn seemed to OK for two adults and our dog. $ 58.00. She said that there was a 20 dollar deposit for the dog and,I'd get that back in the morning. No problem. Then she said she could not figure out how to work the deposit in on the credit card so she waved off the 20 bucks. I said he was a good boy and, there will be no problem with him. About an hour later I get a phone call saying that there was a 20 dollar charge for the dog. I said that was to much and that I want to check out. Then the owner comes into the picture and, said that they would not give me my money back and, that If I didn't pay the 20 the dog had to go. The bottom line here is that they are making me stay here, over charging me to boot. I could have stayed at the Best Western for the same money. Much nicer place too. This place is owned by a slum lord. Ice machine hasn't worked in a month. Door chain is broke. Bad water pressure. What a Dump.

I stayed here when Hurricane Matthew caused evacuation of South Carolina Low Country. My stay was peaceful and enjoyable. I found my room to be clean, everything worked, and absolutely no roaches or other unwanted pests. I've managed a hotel myself for 10+ years and can say that management and staff are well on top of their job! Thank you to the management and staff!
