Hotel's Favourite
I stayed here March 2023. I was in a room with a king bed. This hotel is located right on the main highway going through town, but set back a little. There is a nice Mexican restaurant right next door. They have a nice check in area and the breakfast area is adjacent to this area. They do serve a hot breakfast in the morning.
The swimming pool is not heated so it wasn't open as it was pretty cold. They do have a fitness center, it is small, but there are some machines in it.
The room had a microwave, refrigerator with a freezer area, a desk, a Keurig style coffee maker, bathroom with a shower over a tub. The room was clean and comfortable.
Cairo is a very small town, but pretty. Not a lot here, but if you are there early enough, stop by the small town museum right next to the theatre which is the oldest theatre in Georgia. This is the home of Jackie Robinson! Lots of quaint architecture here.

The employees at this location were all giving 200% to keep the guests happy with their stay. I was always asked if there was anything that I needed and the staff offered to help me with anything that I needed. The rooms need to be remodeled, but the staff are excellent.

Thank you for recognizing the quality of our employees!! They do work very hard to keep guests satisfied. As far as the rooms, we got a new owner two weeks ago and there are many plans for upgrades, so keep coming back!

Room was large enough for 2 dogs and couple. The room smelled clean upon arrival. Front desk gentelman was very nice at checkout. Outside of property was clean and had designated area for dogs. The side street of the hotel was quiet with no traffic was nice to walk our dogs. If you are traveling with dogs and I am very picky, I had researched alot of hotels in that area and this hotel accommodated all needs.

We choose this BW due to its claim that it's a favorite of parents coming to Tallahassee for Florida State Univ events. Hmmm. Staff was friendly/accommodating, location is quieter than many roadside hotels, but the place is simply worn and in need of a refresh. Interior lighting is dim, and rooms are at the point that you can't distinguish between "dirty" or "old." It was overpriced for the condition of the room.

Yes it does need a refresh!! Thankfully, new owner came in October and we have big plans for the rooms, starting with new RFID door locks and new flooring. More updates after that! I hope you give us another chance next time you come by this way. Happy holidays!

It is as expected. While staying almost three weeks in the same hotel, one gets to know the staff and the building.
The staff were great, no issues.
The rooms were decent, if dated, but that is to be expected. The hotel is under new ownership, and while we were visiting all doors were replaced with new RFID Locks. This is an ongoing process.
Breakfast options were grab-n-go sandwitch, milk, burrito or donut. I was pleased they had anything at all during the pandemic.
As for sleeping, rooms are noisy with thin walls, doors creak loudly, and the cleaning staff rolling carts on the second floor will shake the whole building.
One becomes accustom. I had to break the heart of the lovely lady who desperately wanted to clean my room, NOT DURING A PANDEMIC! NO NO NO!
Its in the middle of now where southern country, much agriculture and large Latino community. I can assure you that the group I was with caused the most noise, unfortunately. I stayed in my room, and tried to keep quiet, but I apologize on behalf of the crew to the staff.
I'm sure we will return to this hotel at some point, and look forward to seeing what upgrades are installed.

I knew it was a small town but Best Western usually has quality hotels. This is more like I would expect from an old Days Inn. 2 floor/ no elevator. I had advanced reservations and had requested a ground floor since I have some mobility issues. The woman told me I should have requested a ground floor since she just gave away the last downstairs room. Did I still want the room? I had traveled all day so I said yes. I decided to use the lobby bathroom to make one less trip on the stairs. The handicapped stall was out of order and mine ended up with no toilet paper- thank goodness I carry Kleenex. When I came out, I informed the desk woman that it needed toilet paper and her response was it was not the hotel’s bathroom but the attached restaurant across the lobby. Since the hotel has “breakfast “ in the closest room I would think the bathroom room also be her concern. The room appears to be “clean enough “ for 1 night but very worn. The sheets are frayed and ripped and dirt and potato chip crumbs are on the box springs. King room only comes with 1 hand towel. I am not expecting much for breakfast- will probably go to the diner in town.

I agree with another reviewer that the shower had good pressure and the breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable enough for a good night sleep. It was clean (though the floor left our white socks dirty) and is an acceptable place to stay. It's definitely not luxury and is well worn. Don't stay in room 103 or 105 - the parking lot is quite noisy in the evening around those rooms.

I was traveling for a wedding in the area, this was the only hotel close by that allowed pets. While I do feel that Best Western did their best to update the motel, it did fall a little short. The bed was actually very comfortable, the linens were old with some holes in them. The carpet was old and stained and the room had a faint smell of smoke. The bath towels were older and well used as well. The outside walk way did make me a little uncomfortable as a single woman at night. There is a bar attached to the hotel with quite the menagerie of people till late at night. I do think if I needed to stay in the area again , I may stay a little farther outside of town.

I am sorry your experience did not live up to our reputation. As of September we have a new owner and he is super-focused on getting everything here in tip-top shape! So I trust you will give us one more chance. Our amazing restaurant/bar, Casa Grande, is a hot spot here in Cairo, particularly on weekends. We are considering ways to contain the spill-over noise which happens occasionally in the parking lot. I appreciate your honest review.

From the moment we walked in the front door,we were tested with respect and kindness. Lobby area was very clean and smelled good. The front desk attendant was very polite and helpful he explained how we would be charged for our stay. Explained breakfast and that it was from 6 am - 9 am. After completely our registration, the attendant took us outside walked us around showed us where our room was and where to park. The service was great the room attendants were very polite and made sure we had all we needed. Even at 9:00 pm I needed a blanket ask at front desk and a blanket was brought to me immediately. The Mexican Resturant was great as well I would stay here over and over. GREAT PLACE

We usually stay here because the location is good and we have previously had no issues. This time I was put in a room next to someone having a loud party and I asked to be moved as I was tired from the road trip and could hear everything. The next room the tv had no remote and there were paint chippings all of the floor and the 3rd room was fine as Raymond was awesome in accommodating us. I think I may go back to a different location if this experience happens again.
