We stayed here one night a few months ago for a local "staycation", to wander around Tarpon, the sponge docks, etc.
Very clean and well kept. All staff were great and friendly. The two ladies working breakfast were incredible. One of the only times I've seen a tip jar at Hampton breakfast, i kinda snickered. I've stayed at a lot of Hamptons, and even the best, it's debatable whether it's worth tipping someone to refill a buffet. By the time we were done eating, and they'd made us both prefect waffles while we sat, refilled our beverages, asked us if we needed any more sauces, butter, etc, i happily have then whatever cash i had. Best breakfast I've had at any of the Hilton properties where breakfast is included. It was almost full service. A very nice change.

We always look for Hampton Hotels to stay at as we know the quality and standards we will get for the price range that we pay. This Hampton did not disappoint. Everything here was what we expect and are used to at a Hampton: free parking, free WiFi, complimentary breakfast, clean hotel and rooms, everything at the hotel and in the rooms is always in working conditions, etc.
I want to mention something that is not an issue for me, yet I have heard from other people. This Hampton is not as modern as other Hamptons, yet it doesn’t feel old neither. Everything in the hotel and in the rooms works and is well maintained. On this line of thought, note that this Hampton is better priced than the Hamptons in the adjacent town, ie. Dunedin. I understand everything is about location. Yet this Hampton is conveniently located to everything: right on Highway 19, with every store you need close by. 10 minutes from Tarpon Springs historic downtown and the Sponge Docks. 15 minutes from Trinity and Oldsmar. 20 minutes from Dunedin.
The complimentary breakfast here, from what I can recall, seems to be nicer than the other Hamptons I have stayed at. Besides the standard complimentary breakfast items, they have nice items such as smoothies made with Chobani yogurt, scones, naturally flavored water, more fresh fruit options, including berries for the waffles.
What did impress us the most was the cleanliness of the room. Hampton always has clean rooms, and the hotel in general is very clean. Yet our room here was cleaner than the well cleaned rooms at other Hampton.
We had good experience with different members of the hotel staff. Jasmine at the front desk impressed us by remembering us after only one time of seeing us. Erick at the front desk was very patient in helping us to find the best room for our budget. Manuel the house men went out of his way to help us when our son had a cold. Beatriz the housekeeper in charge of our room was always smiling and helpful.

This is second time I have stayed here. Friends trip long weekend January 19. The accommodations were great. Most everyone were friendly. A couple of desk people had a “tude” but most were fine. But the employees that were above the top were all the breakfast ladies. They were constantly wiping things, helping people with their food, working in breakfast area and eating area. They were so personable, they greeted every person and also engaged conversations with people. It was very chilly for Florida at that time , wish the fireplace had been on. It’s one of the reasons I like hotel. It was only lite occasionally.

Room smelled very bad, but in general was clean enough. There is a sign at the room that housekeeping is not coming every day to clean the room and you have to ask them before 11 am if you would like your room to be cleaned. So I did. When returned back late at night I discovered that the room was not cleaned and there was no clean towels. The hotel is right along the highway, so expect the noise. There was breakfast provided and it was fine. In my opinion, overpriced.

Although my room was a bit dated, I wouldn’t have traded it for a more modern one. Every employee here was friendly and helpful, clean, clean, clean, hand sanitizer dispensers and wipes were full, free breakfast was restaurant quality. The ladies in the breakfast room offered to make my waffles! Never, ever has that happened.I have several more trips coming up at Tarpon Springs and I will be returning here.

This Hampton Inn was a great place to rest our weary heads while we were visiting family and friends. It’s conveniently located, close to restaurants, downtown and the sponge docks. Our suite was large and clean. We’ll definitely stay here again.

We were in town to do some sightseeing in Tarpon Springs/TS and Safety Harbor. We decided to stay overnight in Tarpon Springs to do a full day of sightseeing there and travel the short distance to Safety Harbor the next morning. We are loyal Hilton guests and were happy to find a Hampton Inn in TS.
I received a quizzical look at check-in after giving my name. Turns out I was a day early! Despite my error, the exact room preference was available, and I was relieved especially after a long day on our feet in the hot sun. The room was very clean, and all amenities were in working order. We are particular about light and found the reading lamps to be bright enough to read by. Our 4th floor room was in the corner so no one on either side made for an especially quiet night. Water temperature and pressure were very good. I always bring my own pillow; my husband commented that his were medium. The beds were comfortable. Parking is free of charge. Yes, the hotel is on busy U.S. Highway 19 N but we were not bothered at all by the traffic on the pool side of the building.
We are fond of the coffee station at the Hampton Inn properties especially after a travel day. This one is in the soaring great room with lots of light and spacious seating. It is the perfect spot to gather and chat.
The breakfast was phenomenal. After Covid, it was so refreshing to come back to a full, hot breakfast and this hotel does it up right with many choices: waffles, eggs, breakfast meat, yogurt, pastries, bagels, juices, oatmeal and fresh fruit. But the crown jewel of the breakfast was Miss Lonna who has been with the hotel for a couple of years. She
greeted and warmly welcomed every single guest. In all of the Hilton properties we've stayed, we've never had such a welcome like Miss Lonna. It is apparent she loves her job to be as sincere and cheerful as she is. As an extra service, she came around to each table to ask how everything was and if she could be of any assistance. We would return to this property again just for the breakfast experience.
After a good night's sleep, we were on our way to Safety Harbor for another day of sightseeing.

We stay at Hampton Inn is quite a lot. Because you can always count on them it’s been very clean and very pretty. We are at the Hampton Inn in Tarpon Springs and it is a very lovely property and very clean. However this morning when I left to go to breakfast I asked the girls to please clean our room we stayed out of our room until 12 o’clock. I was enjoying the pool. However the room had not been clean so I asked the girls To clean the rooms I stayed at the pool until 2 o’clock. The room still had not been clean. I asked two girls again to clean the room however they did not speak English did not understand. You would think they understood the word clean. I am not very happy about this at all. We are honors members and expect to be treated a little special

The Hampton was nice. I would have given it a 5 except for the bath tub in Room 410. The coating on the bath tub was coming off in big patches. I think the tub needs to be changed out. The suite was amazing because you had a separate bedroom with doors that closed. There were two full screen TVs. One in the bedroom and one in the seating room. The bedroom was extremely quiet. That was a real plus for me.

My kids and I went down to Florida to visit friends that live in Palm Harbor. We stayed at the newer Hampton Inn last time but the pricing was crazy so we went to the one in Tarpon Springs this trip. Everything was fine the first couple days, breakfast was good, lots of choices, hot chocolate for my 8 year old who loves that stuff.
The room we had been given was an adjoining room, which obviously didn’t need. We got back to our room Saturday night and everything went down hill. We heard kids crying and screaming next door. There was a woman (mom?) speaking loudly-yelling, and a tv blasting. This went on from about 7:30 until well past 11pm. At 10:30 I called the front desk asking them to do something about the noise because my kids needed to sleep but couldn’t fall asleep with all the noise. The response I got from the front desk was “I’m so sorry” and “okay”. I assumed this meant they would contact the room next to me, but the noise never quieted down until they all went to sleep, and the next day it all started up again, like nothing had happened.
I don’t know if it’s just the adjoining rooms that are that paper thin, but be aware if you’re going this hotel.

I think 10 or 11. Not 100% sure. Suggest their website or call them.
This Hampton Inn does not accept pets, only service pets. FYI, motel will be undergoing renovations from February 1, 2016, through June 1, 2016.
When it is "season" in Florida with all the winter visitors and snow birds, it can be a problem to find parking. No free parking downtown. Most lots run about $6 a day.
However, Costas Restaurant, downtown on a side street, is a great Greek restaurant, reasonably priced and they offer all day free parking to their guests. It is posted on their web site. We went mid afternoon and wanted to walk around before dinner. We parked there and I went inside and told the hostess that we were planning to eat dinner there but wanted to walk around first. She said no problem.
You can buy discount certificates for Costas $2.00 for a $10.00 certificate or $6 for a $25.00 certificate. However, TripAdvisor won't let me post the web site link here. Find the review I wrote for Costas, click on my name and send me a private message. I will be glad to give it to you.
I suggest you call the hotel directly to ask if they provide transportation to downtown.
No, this hotel is not pet friendly
