We stayed here 1 nite in Jan. The smoke detector did not work, the bed was very uncomfortable. At a minimum they need to replace their mattresses & make sure smoke detectors are functional. We reported this to the desk manager. The room was clean. The Air Conditioner worked. There was a note just inside the door that urged you to use the chain lock. That made us nervous. No one bothered us thankfully. The door went directly outside not into an internal hallway. I wouldn't stay here again.

I stay at motels when I travel as much as possible so that’s how I chose Tarpon Shores Inn and it was close to the event I was attending.

Nothing fancy about the place, but nothing really bad to say either. Desk clerk had the personality of a wall but not rude just not happy with life I guess, we are all entitled to that.

Room typical motel setup except the parking was away from the rooms where I was staying so if I were on the Harley, would not be conducive to load and unload the bike.

Room was dated, but clean. Had microwave, fridge and coffee maker and very small 24” TV on the wall. No iron or blow dryer if that’s important for you. Air was ice cold and bed was clean just kinda worn out.

Paid 168 (it’s season and a weekend night) through Expedia. It’s a $100 a night at best but it is what it is.

Probably choose another location if I return to this area

This is a great hotel, friendly people (employees and guests) , very clean and close to everything. Very inexpensive. We didn't have reservations but they were able to accomodate us. The pool was very clean. The only con was no microwave in our room....I would rather have a clean room with no microwave.

Very disappointed with this motel. The staff was not welcoming at checkin. The room had dead bugs in the bathroom. Bathroom tile was broken. Minimal plug ins available to charge cell phones. No coffee available for patrons. Advertised coffee available from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Will not use this motel again

Room smelled of a heavy heavy smoker. Bathroom floor unclean, We are unable to use stove in kitchenette unless paying additional $16. I would not recommend this place at all.
It was spacious. Help was not encouraging. We went to front lobby to get coffee in the am. Gave us coffee packet and said get our own water in our room. Lol

Negatives-The room stank of cigarettes. Furniture was worn and the room felt dirty. I had to use a towel to sit in a chair. Noisy and drafty.

Positive-The staff was pleasant and the hotel was conveniently located for my needs.

Yes, it's not new and modern design. But compare than other hotels in area it's good quality/price. It's clean, practical and with a really hight costumer service. We forgot one suitcase during our trip, we had 7h to drive to come back and the owner has been super helpful with us. We stopped there during family trip on march 22, just for one night. The room was functional with fridge and coffee maker, close to the downtown and grocery Walmart - Walgreens - fastfood...
If you have to book a room, I suggest rooms on back. The pool was clean but I didn't pay attention to the spa.

I will never go back- although I need to stay in a hotel 3-4 times a year in Tarpon Springs for medical reasons. The barest of furnishings; pieces of the vertical blinds came down when you opened the door/ closed them them. Closing left gaps u could see through. No 'fridge'; no coffee maker; small, thin greasy ( soap still in?) towels.
This hotel must be running on past glory. I drive - Miami t- Tarpon Springs, Atlanta routinely-for years, I have a broad base for comparison. Terrible waste of money.

My girlfriend and I spend 15 days in this nice, little Motel, because we had a delay in a house-closing and we need a place to stay. We didn't expect very much, so we were very surprised how clean the Motel was, and how clean the rooms were if we arrived in the evening on Monday 5. October 2015.
The female receptionist was very helpful and friendly as we arrived and a lot of so called four or five star hotels of today could learn from her how to handle the customer. So much to that.
The staff is great in this Motel, the maid, the maintenance-guy, the receptionist, the owner, just everyone. No wonder the Motel is clean and well maintained.
The Motel has a nice out-side pool and a nice sundeck. The Motel has a spa with hot water, and some machines were you can buy water, soft-drinks and some snacks or chocolate.
The location is also great, because its close to Dunkin Donuts, Chilis, McDonald, and Codys, so you can get food everywhere. Its just a ten minute walk to Publix were you can buy all the food you need if you want to cook by yourself.
We booked a room with two Queen Size beds and a little kitchen. This was just great, because we could make our own breakfast every morning, opened the door and let the sunshine in, it was beautiful. We had a room on the second floor in the back, so we didn't heard the traffic from US-19. I would recommend the rooms in the back with the little kitchen if you want to book this Motel.
We watched Anderson Park, and Tarpon-Lake, you can walk if you like, and we used a Taxi to drive to the sponge-docks, eating the famous greek-food. Its just beautiful, go to the sponge-docks in the evening-hours and stop at "Hellas Bakery & Restaurant", in my opinion they have the best greek food, the best long drinks, and the best sweeties in Tarpon-Springs. I will write a separate review about this restaurant.
Another good restaurant at the sponge-docks is "Dimitris", this restaurant is directly located on the water. The Tsaziki, the Saganaki with brandy and lemon, the Suflaki, the Gyro, the Pitabread, and the Greek Salad with Potato-Salad was just a dream.

I hope my review was helpful, enjoy your vacation.

Sincerely,

E.K.
