We booked through airbnb Simple check-in bottle of wine as check in gift .Our room had a great view . Room was very clean and I'm a clean freak. The kitchen was updated and had some basic cookware . The property was very clean and the pool bar was great " good taco's" . Most units are individually owned so some may be better than other ..Free shuttle service around the island "rocky point".

I read somewhat descent reviews of the hotel stating the wonderful bay views and cleanliness as major selling points. I had to book at a busy time of the year at the end of March, so I trusted the tripadvisor.com reviews. I would like to start my review of Sailport hotel with something good to say.... Well it seems it ilwould be more difficult than I thought .... The only thing I can think of is that the views of Tampa Bay are nice, but I am not sleeping in the ocean rather in one absolutely filthy room!!! When I checked in I was informed that there will be no daily housekeeping service due to covid. Wonderful!!! Less contact, more social distancing, etc. However, the lack of daily service was not the issue. Rather the lack of housekeeping totally. Please refer to the pictures I am attaching to my review for details. I stayed with my family of 4 in the 2 bdrm apartment w bay view. A nice countertop is the only good thing I can mention. Everything else was disgusting. I had to rewash all the dishes to make sure they are at least somewhat sanitary for my kids to use. The dishwasher had stains and food particles from who knows how long ago. The sofa in the living room was very small and the fabric was sticky with grease and stains so I had to cover it with a sheet to allow my kids to sit on it. And when I called for extra towels and sheets( remember no housekeeping due to covid) the line rang for more than 10 min without an answer. Needless to say I never got them! The room had the disgusting smell of an old hotel and did not disappear even after I opened all the windows. Honestly, I wouldn't even give this hotel one star if I could. I am not sure how is it possible that people have such low standards for cleanliness and disinfecting especially in times of covid. This is tottaly irresponsible!!!! Such a huge disappointment!!!! And for the price they charge you!!!! Unbelievable!!!!…

Loved the pool area overlooking the water and the bar and food especially - all right there The water front 2 bed 2 bath unit on floor 3 was nice but by no means luxury as floor was cheaply done and appliances well used and all scratched up But, for the price and service it was fabulous Will stay again next year

We came to town on business and for pleasure. My husband booked this place, thinking it would be nice to have a place on the water. Our unit had a fantastic view. But for the view, we would have gone elsewhere. The place was extremely dated and not clean. The furniture showed a lot of wear, and I refused to sit on the couch. When we were in our unit, which was not much, I tried to sit on the balcony. I brought cleaning wipes and wiped down everything I thought we’d touch. The beds were fine, and I scrutinized the sheets to make sure they were clean. The blinds in the master were broken. The floors/carpets should be replaced, & the walls should be repainted (rather than “touched up” with paint that does not quite match). The unit reminded me of a beachfront condo I may have found adequate in college during Spring Break. I have higher expectations now. The outside sandy area near the water was cute. I will definitely not stay here again. It’s a shame, because these units could be wonderful if they were updated and properly cleaned. Two stars are for the location only.…
