Just an average hotel. Nothing special. The valet parking is $25 per night. Valet staff was exceptional; great service from those guys. The front desk staff should take lessons from them on customer service. Rooms are just average. The concept is good to reuse an existing federal building but nothing special. Would not stay here again.
Great place, but the mask police were out in an authoritative manner. Very stern and no smiles upon checking in. Room was great no issues there. Felt it could’ve been much better but probably won’t go back. Loved how they kept the old courthouse look and feel with the doors and floors, etc.
This was not my first time staying at Le Meridien Tampa. The property is very nice albeit the rooms are on the smaller side. Other than that, the bed bugs had a field day with my back. Ugh I did explain it to the General Manager who was concerned with my allegations and promised to look back into my observations. I am waiting for his call back with his findings before I send him the pictures taken on 2/9/21 with multiple examples of the unwanted bedbugs.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY THIS IS DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING. EXPEDIA LISTS ONE PRICE BUT YOU END UP PAYING OVER 2X THE PRICE. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE FALSE ADVERTISING- ONE NIGHT IS NOT $165 IT WILL END UP BEING $250. Our stay was not worth $250 a night. The valet was prompt and the staff was nice enough but we're never booking through expedia again because their prices are misleading. This hotel will add city tax, tourism tax and other mysterious charges. The room was way too small, cramped and dormlike for $250 a night. You do not pull up in front of the grand looking structure with columns- that's around the corner. Don't waste your time you'll be getting ripped off.
A short review since this is a pretty easy 5* rating on a 4* hotel, a real deal at a $100-150 price point. Ambassador here, for context. Status was recognized, no real accommodation beyond late checkout, but none was requested or needed. The property is great. Historic, not a bland box, it’s an old courthouse. Expect some eccentricity and oddities as there are only so many things you can do to a historic property. I really want to come play one day with my camera gear and run a photo shoot in their hallways — they’re gorgeous. The unexpected winning feature here is the bar— great selection and service! Great job F&B team, you totally made my short stay be more memorable. I love the Le Meridien gems like this one (and Le Meridien Indianapolis, where the Spoke and Steel folks to this day set my high standard for what a LM can be), where bartenders are way beyond what you expect in a typical 4* hotel setting. Serious compliments here — this might be my second favorite LE Meridien F&B program and service within the US. Location is what it is. It’s a bit quiet nearby, but that’s not the hotels fault. Plenty of good stuff nearby a short Lyft ride away, and the hotel is well equipped to help steer you in the right direction. Valet and front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. Only downside was housekeeping ignoring the privacy sign and ignoring my late check-out accommodation. Ask the front desk before you wake me up, please — and sorry if I was a groggy jerk when you knocked. The five stars was firmly cemented such that I overlook this.…
