Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Downtown Convention Center is hailed for its attentive service and inviting atmosphere, creating a comfortable stay for guests. While the hotel's central location wins accolades from guests eager to explore Tampa, some have called out issues with housekeeping and valet service.
The spacious rooms generally receive positive marks for cleanliness, yet there are occasional maintenance concerns. Travelers enjoy the breakfast options but are less enthusiastic about the additional fees that seem to detract from the hotel's value proposition.

Our stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton was exceptional! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, the rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. We especially loved the delicious breakfast buffet and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tampa, Fl i also like to recommend Steve for helping me while i was there.

We stayed here while in Tampa. We arrived early in Tampa and went straight to the hotel. Since we got there early, we rested in the lobby and checked around. There’s Starbucks next to the front desk by the lobby and a restaurant called Taste on the other side by the elevator. We let the front desk know that we got there early. Rob at the front desk assisted me with preparing the room of my likeness on a higher floor. He told me they'll text me as soon they get the room ready. We're glad that they would accommodate the request to check in early. After about an hour, we got to our room, and it was not even 1 o'clock. We're so glad. Our room was nice. The embassy suite is a suite room hotel. So we had a huge living room, bathroom, and bedroom. The fridge and microwave were in the kitchenette.
After settling in, we decided to check out the pool. The pool is very narrow and long. There are a few flowing waterfalls here and there, but no jacuzzi. There’s a lounge and bar area on the lobby floor called Taste, and it was so good! The convention center is across the street, and a sky bridge connects the hotel and the convention center.
Our stay was great, and we had no issues. The room, cleanliness, and location were fantastic! We will return to the hotel if the trip brings us back to Tampa. Recommended!

If you are planning to visit downtown Tampa, you definitely need to stay at the Embassy Suites Downtown Tampa by Hilton. They have the best free breakfast in town. Their crew will make you feel at home. Steve and Ricardo will receive you at the door. Willie will make you the best omelets and avocado toasts you will ever eat and Neyshmarie will make sure your table is clean. All their rooms are suites and the view is stunning. I totally recommend this hotel.

The bad: not to be disrespectful to anyone’s situation in life, but surprisingly and disappointingly, there was an obvious and sometimes uncomfortable presence of homeless/addicted individuals staying at the hotel. I assume some sort of voucher program. I would recommend against staying here if you’re not comfortable with the possibility of what could go wrong with that. Housekeeping was absent all but one of the four days we stayed and only had a couple of towels upon request, supposedly due to the washing machines being out of order. There is also a mandatory 25$/day use-it-or-lose-it fee that you must use at the bar or Starbucks. We got a couple coffees and tipped the balance. Dumb.
The good: (but not good enough for us to stay here again) Location was great, staff was great, room was as expected, breakfast buffet was as expected.

Cons: The hotel daily/nightly rate does NOT match the condition of this hotel, at all. It's unsightly and I wouldve NEVER booked here, had I known. The water fountain outside was inoperable. Once you come in, there's mold around all of the vents. Holes in the ceiling, and stains from multiple leaks. Both elevators were disgusting, with fingerprints, food particles, and an unknown substance that has been left dripping down the glass. The pool and pool area was draped in plastic and closed to the public. Also, I chose a room on the 19th floor, hoping to avoid outside noise. It still seemed like we were on the ground level...One ply windows, I guess. Marriott is right across the street and the same price, without breakfast...and looks amazing. I wouldve canceled and changed hotels, had they been able to accommodate me at the last minute. Note: I was told that the room rate would be adjusted for the first night, by Steven. I was there for 3 days. Upon check out, I was still charged full price ( $350+ ) for each night and only received free parking.
Pros: The location is great, and in close proximity to the Riverwalk, several restaurant choices, Aquarium, etc. Walking distance, actually. The faculty was really nice, understanding and accommodating. I wouldn't stay here again, but I dont have anything negative to say about the staff. They were all amazing.

The hotel itself was nice and clean - a convenient location to the Amlie Arena. Wait staff was extremely nice in Taste and at the daily breakfast. But watch your bill when you leave. You must valet park and both the hotel and the parking service charged me. Hotel says take it up with the parking company so right now I have been charged twice for parking.
They also charge you a resort credit of $25/day. They will tell you that it will be credited against food and beverages purchases in the hotel - well that isn't really the whole story. The credit is charged daily and you must use it on the day it is charged. It does not accumulate. We were unable to use the credit on the first day due to attending events. We sent for a nice lunch in taste the next day and were informed that all we needed to do was charge it to the room when we informed the staff we have $50 in credits and the credits would be applied. Well they only applied that days credit and you will later find out that you can't go back and use the credits from previous days when you question it when you see the bill at check.
Management need to work on explaining their policies to their guests and partners at this hotel. Wonder how many people have been taken by not looking at the details of the charges n their bill.

My stay at Embassy Suites was overall pleasant, with a few hiccups. The location is fantastic, especially for those attending events at the convention center or utilizing public transportation with the trolley stop nearby. However, if you value a good view, aim for a higher floor as lower floors may offer views of walls, as was my case on the sixth floor.
The room itself was comfortable, secure, and conveniently located. The breakfast provided was enjoyable, and the front desk staff were friendly and accommodating.
Unfortunately, I encountered some engineering issues during my stay. The air conditioning struggled on the first night, requiring a fan to be brought to my room. Despite reporting the issue to the front desk and them promising immediate assistance, it took several hours for the problem to be resolved. I actually had to go back to the front desk after several hours, because it still was not resolved. There were some excuses about how the air-conditioning in the building works that you have to be in the room because of some green savings issue which I did not understand, but there were obviously issues with my air condition on the first night Additionally, the phone in my room lacked power and a cord, rendering it useless.
It's the attention to detail that truly makes a difference in a hotel stay, and I hope they improve in this aspect in the future.
Management never resolved the phone issue, but I am disappointed that something as simple as a cord for a phone was not able to be resolved during my stay.
One of the managers did offer me 10,000 points when I brought the issues to their attention however, upon check out, I was asked how my stay was and I told the girl at the desk exactly what had happened and then she basically offered me a different amount of reward points. But it’s been two weeks and they are still not on my account and I’ve tried to call the hotel. Nobody answers the phone.

To start off I only gave this hotel one star because of the location. To say this locations rooms are cleaned would be impossible. There were layers of dust on all the furniture and pictures in the room, tons of hairs on the bed/bed frame/bathroom floor/bed. The shower floor was covered in thick mold and build up. There was someone's eye dropper a few of them when you walked into the room on the floor. The furniture had white spots and spilled drinks all over them. There was a giant opening with Wires hanging out in the closet and open to the venting system.
The hotel was so packed with competitions and guests that nothing was wiped down ever. There was trash everywhere and it took a very long time to get on the elevators.
The free breakfast made me freaked out after watching everyone touch the stacked plates underneath since they didn't set out just a set of clean ones everytime. They made you reach underneath where all 10000 clean plates were so people were touching a few to get one out.
The valet department was so backed up they had a note that bc the hotel was busy they couldn't accommodate call a heads or having your car ready or even to get your car. We walked down to the garage and I mean early like 8 am check out and we waited for 30 mins to get our car. There were random cars parked everywhere you couldn't even get to your own car. They would disappear to get a car then get stuck in their own traffic lane of cars bc they were spaced out and everywhere.
The location is right by the hockey arena and by the water boats/bar and riverwalk so it's a good place. It has a good view of the water outside certain rooms.
Note: I did ask customer service for a refund- they told me because I used a 3rd party to book it they wouldn’t do anything. I’ve called back again for a 3rd time and got transferred to the housekeeping manager. To mention they made me pay over 500 to stay here for the night.

Went for the convention.... paid $1100 for the bugs and cold water everyday and then still had to come home and call and nag them to get it added to my "Hilton Honors" account. Valet was $45 a night and if you want you car it is an 1 hour wait minimum to get it. Granted this was during a large convention, but they knew for months this was coming and still it was this bad just at the valet. The front desk people were pleasant and we reported the bug problem and cold water in the room everyday and it appeared nothing was done about it as nothing changed. Nothing was offered to reduce the bill and had people we know in other rooms close by that had no problems getting hot water and no bugs. We tried different times of the day as well and it was never hot. The restaurant and its staff we nice and tasted good, the hotel staff were friendly, and we choose it and enjoyed being close to the convention center, but is was miserable taking freezing showers everyday as a family and the bugs were just gross.
