We had not stayed in the Ybor city area for quite some time due to declining reviews; however, our stay at the Hotel Haya was wonderful. The staff was more than welcoming. Location was great. The trolley was so convenient. The bar had amazing lemon drop martinis. Would definitely stay again!!

This hotel is beautiful and super hospitable. Every time you enter the hotel, you are greeted at the door and the doors are always opened for you (we literally only had to open the door to the hotel ourselves once). The staff wa a always warm and inviting and always willing to accommodate any needs we had. We requested numerous items to be brought to our room and they were all brought in a timely manner with a great attitude. We will definitely be returning to Hotel
Haya on our next visit to Ybor.

I like everything about the Haya. The room is perfect. The pool is great. The sound system at the pool is terrific. The ambience in the bar is nice. The artwork, tile and attention to detail has been done very tastefully. My favorite place.

Hello Pablo, my name is Fernando and I recently stayed in your lovely Hotel last week for three nights. I wanted to share a few observations ( Good and Needs Improvement) since I am also in the Sales and Service Industry and I know how important a first impression is. I bullet pointed them below in order to save time and get to the point. Any questions, please feel free to call me since I will be coming to Tampa quite often. I will write up a follow up review as well in order to be fair. Thank you.

Nice Welcome from Valet and the Front Desk when checking in
Used the Bar on three occasions, Bartenders seemed bothered and too busy for small talk and a hello.
We experienced the First Brunch on Sunday, unfortunately this was not advertised but luckily we just happen to come down at the right time . We were sat immediately and the ladies in the front were very friendly. Rebecca was our server. She was very friendly and tried her best to accommodate us however she had no help from any other server or busboy. There were 5 other couples around us since it was Valentines Day, two of which left due to the time it took to just get drinks and appetizers . We were seated promptly as stated however we waited a total of 1 hour for our actual meal, a total of two hours in total. Many servers passed our table , but the dirty dishes stayed on our table, again Rebecca's hands were full trying to handle all of the tables. At the Bank I teach my Team, one very important Rule, One Team, Its not Rebecca's Table its Everyone's Table.
The Morning Cafe Teams were Great, Courteous and Excellent Customer Skills.
No Room Service ( Cleaning of the Room) on a 3 Night Stay, we were told due to Covid, considering there were many people walking around in the Hotel without a Mask, this rule made no sense to me. We had to ask twice for clean towels, at these prices this should not be the case.
Considering there are no small refrigerators that can be used by the Guest, nor Ice Machines on the floor , nor Coffee Makers in the Room, Service must be at 120% when Guest ask for items. Unfortunately I am not sure if you are understaffed, or poorly staffed by people that really don't care about their Jobs.
On an up note, which I like to end on, the Hotel is a Gorgeous Addition to Ybor City. The Pool Area is very nice and overall the items listed above can be corrected with the right Supervision in place.

The Hotel Haya has just about everything we look for when we book a hotel. It has a very cool vibe, it's immaculate, beautiful, contemporary, with a nice bar/restaurant and a cafe. There are many nice lounging areas. The saltwater pool is long enough for swimming laps and surrounded by tropical greenery, and comfortable lounge chairs and plush towels.

The rooms smell naturally fresh (not like someone sprayed deodorizer everywhere) and are clean. They have all the right amenities. The bed was very comfortable with nice crisp linens and good pillows.
Even the food and beverage selections in the room are interesting - a good mixture that includes some organic options. The TV provides helpful local info and programming options.

Employees are responsive and provide excellent service. You can tell they are proud to be there. Haya is in a walkable location for exploring the area and enjoying many shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment. It's a much better value and overall experience than many of the chain hotels.

We would have liked a larger safe in the closet big enough to hold a laptop and one brighter light in the room but those are minor things easily outweighed by the abundance of positive features and benefits!

In December 2020, my son and I spent several days at the Hotel Haya during a 2-month road trip the length and breadth of Florida. We stayed in quite a variety of hotels, some more grandiose and expensive, but the Haya was our hands-down favorite. We liked it so much, we came back in January to take advantage of their "2 rooms for the price of 1" special!

The entire hotel is so elegant, clean and Zen. Walk down a gorgeous carpet of sunflowers into your room, where beautiful music and a personalized video is playing on your TV set. The simple but lovely decor, huge bathroom of white tile, and wall of windows looking down on a shimmering pool, plus the peace & quiet - well, it's simply heavenly and such a contrast to the wild and wonderful grittiness of Ybor City! A tasteful restaurant, terrific bar drinks, sublime pool area, and friendly, helpful staff everywhere make the Haya truly unforgettable.

My first to Tampa and we found ourselves in the quaint Ybor area. It is a lovely area to visit. The hotel is modern with a warm and attentive staff. We enjoyed the terrace in the evenings with a glass of wine. The pool area is clean with two cabana beds, several couches for groups to sit together, and lounge chairs. The rooms are modern with clean lines. The beds are comfortable and the showers easy to walk in with the shower handle opposite the shower head so you do not get wet when you start your shower. Nice storage space for clothes.

We got unlucky and our family (with baby) was placed in a street-facing room above several bars and clubs. There is zero sound insulation. Trying to sleep at this hotel reminded me of trying to sleep in a tent during a music festival, except it is the bed that is vibrating with bass, rather than the cold hard ground. The room is tiny to the point where all the furniture is touching and we were hard-pressed to find enough space to open our suitcase. We arrived at 10:30pm, starving after a 5 hour drive, and there was NO room service and the bar downstairs had stopped serving food. In the morning, there was no breakfast, and we would have to wait until 10am for brunch. Finally, the house cleaner never came to clean our room until we phoned it in. If this hotel took the money it spent on pretty carpeting and spent it on kitchen staff and sound insulation, we would have enjoyed our stay. But like most other boutique hotels, it's really designed for a good Instagram backdrop and not at all for the comfort of its guests. The staff were nice.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us on TripAdvisor, Lena L. We are sorry to hear of the troubles you encountered during your stay. Although we do serve a great brunch on the weekends beginning at 10am, we also have our cafe on property that serves wonderful breakfast items including breakfast burritos, egg biscuits, omelettes and a variety of pastries all made in house. We have several rooms that more removed from the action of Ybor City and our service team will be delighted to secure a quieter accommodation choice for you on your next visit. We look forward to the opportunity to welcoming you again so we may provide you with the exceptional experience you expect from us.

We spent three nights at Haya this past weekend and we loved it! Every employee was as nice and accommodating as they could be, which is one of the most important aspects of any hotel stay. The pool, lobby and bar are fabulous and I wish I was still there! Cocktails were made to perfection...including the house made ginger drink (non-alcoholic)!! We stayed in a King room with a balcony and although it was pretty loud at night, it was nothing a sound machine (or sound app on your phone) couldn't take care of. The bed was super comfy! I would stay here again when visiting Tampa.

I recently stayed at Hotel Haya for a quick trip to Tampa to visit friends and absolutely loved this boutique hotel. First of all, I chose it after seeing it's dog-friendly as I travel with my chihuahua EVERYWHERE. Hotey Haya is located in a really cool district of Tampa called Ybor City that's hip, kind of industrial and populated with bars and cigar shops. It's a different view of Tampa and if you're up for checking out the bars and cigar scene here, it's definitely worth it. I actually didn't spend much time at the neighboring bars as much as I did inside the hotel, eating at their fantastic restaurant called Flor Fina as well as chilling at their gorgeous pool. Our room was a suite with a balcony facing towards the main street in Ybor. It definitely got noisy at night but we liked it because we stood outside on the balcony to watch everyone hanging out in the streets near the bars. We enjoy the nightlife and thought it was really cool to see. We watched movies at night so the street noise wasn't a big deal. However they told us the quieter rooms face inwards to the hotel, so if that's important make sure to book one of those. The parts of our room that I loved the most were the sitting area, the spacious bathroom and the long balcony. The bedroom was awesome too, set against exposed brick walls, which made us feel like we were staying a New York City loft. The room as a whole was perfection and included a fridge, lots of drawer space, an armoire with safe and nice shower products which were refreshed every day. I will definitely return to Hotel Haya as my friend is getting married in Tampa next year and this is where I'd love to stay again! Highly recommend it!
