The location is convenient and surrounded by good restaurants and food but the overall condition needs to be addressed. The exterior of the hotel has beautiful oaks in the parking lot but the buildings need paint and care. The interior is the standard Residence Inn set up but was worse for the years of use. Most walls and many doors have been marred without painting to cover. The room has a nice space for working, plenty of electrical outlets, nice large TV and some newer furnishings. Some of the newer furnishings still had been damaged without repairs. The kitchen was set up with a fridge, stove top, microwave and dishwasher that were in good shape. The silverware was not completed missing spoons and knives. The bathroom shower had been updated but the work was not done well with some of the panels misaligned, the glass doors not balanced, and the bathroom door was not refinished or painted so it has begun to swell from the moisture.
The metal door frame was rusted from moisture. The bed was large but beat from years of use. The entrance door needed painting and the trim secured properly then painted.
Overall, the owners need to invest and care for their location to retain loyal customers and entice new ones.
There are other Marriott properties close by in much better shape.

This was our first trip out after COVID-19 crisis. First thing we noticed was the dog waste can was stuffed to the top Wed. 7/15 morning. Wed. afternoon employee was emptying outside trash cans, didn’t dump dog waste. Thur. morning- afternoon dog waste still there, that was not pleasant. Trash/ cups scattered a bit around grounds, otherwise pretty clean. The 2 bed/ kitchen unit was pretty clean, but the kitchen floor was dirty and some glass bowls in cabinets were dirty! Plates, etc are left in dishwasher, per new cleaning guides. Front desk was very professional. Outback Grille next door was convenient to pick up food and was good. Masks on when entering hotel and never met anyone passing. Great.

Check-in was easy with a helpful, friendly desk clerk. My room was as expected. It was clean and comfortable with everything I needed. The bed and linens were fine and the couch was comfortable to read and do paperwork.

I visited with a friend at the fire pit which was a great outdoor space. A nearby guest was smoking but the setup is such that we weren’t affected.

The Outback is next door so dinner was easy. I was surprised to find a full size bottle of a decent red in the hotel store - for $14. I was able to enjoy my dinner at my room's table.

There were two negatives to my stay. I was on the third floor which had a lot of traffic noise from the highway. I’m not sure if lower floors would be quieter but I’d definitely request one the next time.

My second was that the desk clerk was mask-less when I checked out. There is a plexiglass barrier but it’s narrow so I doubt it’s keeping airborne particles at bay, especially as the clerk moved past it. Given the volumes on Marriott's website about all their Covid precautions, I found unmasked staff to be surprising.

First the good...and front desk clerk and asst manager were very nice. That’s it. I felt like I was sleeping on the shoulder of the freeway! There was no noise buffering at this hotel at all! The beds were likely as hard as the road as well. When the AC came on, the entire room shook. It reminded me of one of those beds that you put a quarter in it was so bad and extremely disorienting! After driving 12 hours and having another 4 to go, this did not provide the rest needed. It is 3:41a as I am writing this...haven’t slept a wink! Husband just fell asleep, son is awake. Oh, and did I mention we are in a 2 bedroom unit! Did online check in and asked for digital key to avoid front desk, didn’t get it. When I got to front desk at 8p and rang the bell for someone, and she started working on my reservation, she first said a room wasn’t available (I reserved a 2 bedroom) because they were short staffed on cleaning people. Then suddenly they found one and the asst manager assured me she cleaned it herself that morning, detailing everything she did but she wouldn’t tell me the last time someone stayed in the room (so i assume it was yesterday). I brought my own Microban spray and treated every inch of that unit before I let my family inside just to be sure. Oh and guests were not required to wear masks in the common areas despite signs everywhere saying it was mandated! It is July and Florida is peak hotspot for COVID!!!! I wish we would have just left when they couldn’t find our room originally and pushed through the night to our final destination rather than stay here. Likely would have been an overall safer drive!! I will never stay here again nor recommend it (I own a travel agency with 29 advisors specializing in Disney destinations).

Rooms are very outdated, poorly maintained, mattress extremely uncomfortable as it’s past it’s time to be replaced, lighting was dim and kelvin temps were inconsistent throughout the room, tub would not drain and the shower handle had mold in it and the shower had little pressure which made it difficult to get shampoo rinsed out of my hair, all towel racks and shelves lean because they are not attached properly, bottom of bathroom door rusted and peeling, outside of hotel had siding that was coming off and outdoor furniture that didn’t have covers on the cushion and mold on it. I expect better from Marriott but I have been disappointed more times than satisfied lately. I understand that hotels struggled during vivid but it’s time to get back to quality and service. This hotel didn’t offer Housekeepig during our stay because of Covid and when we ask for extra towels we were given cheap gym/pool towels.

This hotel has a lot of road noise which is to be expected, but also near constant noise from blasting music in adjoining restaurant parking lot.
Pro: size of room was good

Although I think the “queen “ beds are fulls.
Cons: rooms were dirty, furniture smelled-particularly the sofa and advertised amenities were broken/absent (fireplace doesn’t function, no response from hotel when I asked about this, treadmill torn) , Marriott site notes free use of Gold gym less than 2mi away, but the nearest is almost 12 mi away and I doubt that they have any arrangements with this hotel.) Neither tub in the room drained when we showered

Only come here if you need space. Try not to touch anything, yuck.

Stayed one night. Marriott has this as one of the only Cat 4 immediately of I-10. Room and hotel in very tired condition. Had to move from 115 to 112 because AC was not working. Late night efforts to switch out thermostat proved unsuccessful.

Despite the hotel being virtually empty, I was given 112 a very poor condition handicapped room. Grout around tub dirty.

Had an unfortunate exchange with mask free front desk attendant (Matt) after inquiring if breakfast would be provided. Got a lecture on how no Marriotts are providing breakfast. Simply not true, Fairfield Inn down street and Residence Inn Universities at the Capitol both are providing guests with breakfast options. Would have appreciated a notice on website or at least being advised at checkin so we could have made other plans. Also told @ checkin no amenity gift for elites, only points?

Cannot recommend this location 😳

Sadly, this hotel reflects badly on the Marriott brand, which happens to be one of my favorite chain hotels. The only Pro was the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Cons: Dirty rooms that are so outdated with popcorn ceilings; torn upholstered chair in the living area; bathroom not clean;, linens very thin; lamp shade dirty and hanging off its base; kitchen oven dirty; coffee maker dirty. This is a budget property so think twice paying over $100 a night - remember "you get what pay for"!

Situated right next to I-10 so that it is highly likely you will have constant, very loud highway noise. (Unable to change rooms bc the hotel was full. Note that I booked the room two months in advance & requested a “quiet room.”) We travel to Tallahassee 3-4 times per year, but won’t stay here again because of this. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. The bedroom was tiny with little floor space around the bed. There is no closet, only a rack & a few shelves in the bathroom / sink area. Situated in an area with high traffic at intersections makes it difficult to get in and out. Bed is comfortable. No room cleaning during our two night stay. Overall, needs renovation & noise blocking windows.) Typical free breakfast.

Stayed here after 8 1/2 hours on the road from Disney (yes, traffic was that bad on the Turnpike, HWY 27, and I-75). Marcus was extremely nice and got us a very good BonVoy/Military rate during the holiday time. The room was very clean and comfortable. We'll stay here again the next time we are in Tallahassee.
