The check-in (and later check out) person seemed very confused & not sure how to handle my reservation. I had to hand her my printout & then it even took longer. The room was clean (slight disinfectant smell). The bed was conformable & the TV & internet worked. Overall it was a good stay & the cost was much less than other establishments. There is a pool WITHOUT water.
HINT - It is only accessible from the eastbound lane of the parkway & is easy to miss the entrance.

Let me tell you I was hard pressed to find a room in Tallahassee week of February 1, 2005. I settled on this hotel since it was close to the Capital and all the others were sold out. I paid $36.00 and got a huge room with a King-Size Bed. No frills only soap. Bring shampoo and a hair dryer but for the money this is the nicest Motel six I have ever been in. We needed a bed to sleep in, and a warm bath next day alle in all a ok place to stay, will go there again, If i am in the nabo hut, free parking free internet, not the best but ok for the short stay in Tallahassee.

I did not expect much from a Motel 6, but I did not expect it would be so bad. The clerk on check in was not wearing her mask, it was not even around her neck. Although the signage on the door asks that everyone wear a mask.
The room was wet. All horizontal surfaces of the room including the floors, counters, table and dresser were wet with standing water. It looked as though the room had just been hosed down. The room smelled of smoke, especially the bathroom. This was a non-smoking room.
Lastly, in a first ever for me, the bed was inside out. Whomever made the bed put the comforter between the top and bottom sheets inside the bed and there were dark curly hairs at the head of the bed. If someone does not know how to make a bed, I cannot be asked to believe they did a good job disinfecting the room.
We checked out 10 minutes after checking in.

This is a motel 6 so I’m not expecting much, as I’ve stayed in 3 motel 6’s on my trip from Arizona to SW Florida.
The good: tv was big and worked
The bad: literally everything else, smelled like smoke, stained bed sheets, no shampoo, sink worked like fire hose blasting water, ice machines not working properly, dodgy repairs in bathroom, and bugs, loads of bugs. Got woke up at 5am from some unknown bug. Went outside for a minute to see some unknown woman high on drugs looking into my car.
Done. I got all my stuff and bolted as fast as I could. I’ve stayed at this motel in 2021 and 2022, and it was still mostly ok, but now I’m done, will stay in another north Florida city or another motel next time.

We stated here for Parents weekend for FSU. This was the dirtiest hotel that I have ever stayed in. There was an overwhelming smell of a skunky odor in the room like cannabis. There were no blankets in the room, there was a lot of dirt on the floor under the bed, the drawers had dirt still in and it looked like the remnants of dried plant material and dirt. There was a lot of dog feces in the parking lot, and all around the place.

It was bad from the minute we walked into the lobby until we checked out the next day. First off, it was 80 in the lobby. When we got to our room, there was a dead fly on the wall, like somebody had killed him but did not bother to move the dead body and numerous flies flying around the room, it looked like the floor had not been mopped, the paint on the walls was chipped, the mattress was old and lumpy, there were no table or chairs, no clock, no phone, no blow dryer, no tissues, 2 little bars of soap, 1 hand towel, 2 bath towels, no floor mat, Tv never did work, could not get 1 channel with a good signal on the tv…NO AMENITIES, just 2 beds in the whole room. The pictures tell the story.
So, if you are looking for a room just to sleep the night, then this is the place for you, otherwise, keep looking.
And to Tom Bodett I would say…TURN THE LIGHT OFF TOM, this place is a dump

This hotel is absolutely disgusting. As soon as I walked into the room, roaches started running across the floor. I immediately left the room and went straight to the front desk to check out. I will never stay at a Motel 6 again.

Lynette is a great asset to the Company. She was on the job for her second day and went above and beyond.. . My cell phone was completely dead - she charged it in the office for me. I went back to my room and picked it up an hour later. I must say that all the staff are very helpful and courteous. Thank you Motel 6.
