#1 of 2 B&Bs / Inns in Steinhatchee
Sea Hag Marina and the Shacks at Sea Hag is one of the largest full service marinas on Florida's Big Bend. Located at Marker 47 on the Steinhatchee River, Sea Hag is also the closest marina to the Gulf of Mexico in the area. We offer shack and boat rentals as well as wetslips. Our ships store is loaded with fishing apparel and accessories, boating supplies, updated fishing reports and lots more! We are accessible by car from either SR51 (from the panhandle and South Georgia) or CR358 (from Gainesville and all points south). Both roads intersect US19 just a few miles to our east.

First let me say, we are here right now. We checked in yesterday the staff is extremely friendly and helpful I cannot emphasize this enough. Even when I called several times leading up to our visit, I was always handled perfectly. This is our first time here and will be the first of many. The location is awesome, the boat ramp is about a half a mile away, so you can launch your boat and then keep it in the marina during your stay. They have plenty of trailer parking available and plenty of parking for your vehicles in what they call a shacks. The shacks are exactly that, they are definitely shacks, but they are really cool and nice shacks. Ours is definitely old but it's clean and has a ton of character, we have a beautiful screened in outside deck on the front and a small deck on the rear. We also have a gas grill and they provide the gas. This place some place that you must visit especially if you like anything having to do with the water, access to the Gulf is fast and easy and if you don't have your own boat they will rent you one for the unbeliefly cheap price of 200 bucks a day. It's almost not worth bringing my own boat! I have a feeling that during scallop season it's very hard to get a reservation here so if I were you, I would jump on it and get something reserved now. This review may sound like it's written by somebody who owns or works at this place, but that is absolutely not the truth, we live in Jacksonville now that we found this place just a short two and a half hour drive we will be back as often as possible. One last thing, they have everything that you could possibly need right here and so far I think everything is very recently priced.

The marina and shacks are very good. Our boat rental was flawless and great. Our cabin was fine, renovated nicely and comfortable. But be prepared, the dishes, cups and flatware were not good. We brought paper plates luckily. There is no WiFi in the cabins, only at the marina and none of us had cell service so that was a challenge. The pool is excellent and nicely cooled for a refreshing plunge after a day in the sun. Once you get past reservations the staff was very nice and helpful. Our biggest problem was the area people and not SeaHags fault, but the constant barrage of confederate flags and other far right signs were unnerving. We didn’t dare let our African American children walk or play outside as cars flying two confederate flags were constantly circling the resort. Sad to say it will keep us from returning.

This was our first year staying here as we typically stay at a different resort in Steinhatchee. The cabin we rented was brand new, on the water and big enough for our family of 18, it was so much fun. The staff at the marina is always so nice and helpful too. We always have a great time catching scallops and bringing them back and cooking them at the house. It was also nice that the pool is right across the street to go swimming.

Scalloping is so much fun! The Sea Hag marine added to that fun by having great equipment and service. Rental boat was ready--clean--fueled. Any equipment we needed we could buy or rent. All the workers we encountered were friendly and knowledgeable. Deck workers were always ready when we returned to take the boat and help us off. Having the account set up in the shop, where we could just add to our tab daily was so nice!! Closed out and paid on the last day. We also used the service of shelling...that team was also friendly and knowledgeable. I did not stay in their cabins...but next time I will try those at as well. Can't wait to come back!

Have been coming here for years. The people here are so nice and the marina and hotel are great. We rent one of their boats it’s much easier than bringing the boat here. Great family fun and the Sea Hag Marina has brought us many great memories.
