We arrived at the hotel and the hotel had no power due to Storm Debbie. I would especially like to highlight the receptionist Martha, she was very helpful despite many worried guests. She really is an asset to the hotel. The floor was sandy when we arrived but was not cleaned. The cleaning of the floor only worked after Martha took care of it. Changing towels is also a problem for the cleaning staff, after the regular change there are never enough clean towels. The hotel is charging daily $25 hotel fee and $35 for parking in the parking garage (plus tax). Instead of booking the amount as a deposit on the card from the beginning (parking and hotel fee x number of days), only a deposit of $350 is booked on the credit card at the beginning. After that, there are suddenly further bookings of $15.70 or suddenly $196 on the credit card. When asked, we were told that the amounts would be offset against the final bill. Nevertheless, the process is very unusual and should be improved. Summary, a nice Hotel with improvement areas but I hope in the hotel management to fix the minor topics.

My wife and I stayed here this past midweek and really enjoyed this location. My wife previously stayed here due to work reservations and enjoyed this location. We found out about the $30 daily parking fee so we parked on the street for free with no issues, just check the signs (Hint). As we checked in, we met Embassy Suites staff member, Milton, who was great. As Diamond members, we were upgraded to a corner suite on the 15th floor! A large, clean and comfortable room with beautiful views. We were told of the $25 daily fee, per room, so we used it for lunch and then dinner on separate days. It could be used basically for anything there, but we used it to our benefit! The cook to order free breakfast was perfect. Mark, the Maitre De, and staff were courteous and friendly!! The Social Event was a good time. The bartenders were great and made some good tasting free drinks. A time to relax, eat some free small bits and watch sports on several TVs on the 8th floor. This is where the pool and large gym are also located. In the lobby, we met staff member Duian! He was soo helpful and provided some good info on the area. Overall, this location was the best Embassy Suites I have ever stayed in so far. Great location, awesome staff, great accommodations and a neat building! This location has free WiFi. Great location near downtown Sarasoa, the beach and the marina! Will be back!!

We've stayed here before, but this time was nervous because I'm allergic to dogs and now Embassy Suites is dog friendly. I called the hotel prior and they assured me the room would be fine and they would give me one that has not had a dog recently. We could choose the room via the Hilton app prior to coming and they would make sure housekeeping did a thorough job of cleaning it well. I called them and they helped me pick out a room and he was spot on. The room had a lot of natural light and a nice view. It was also immaculate and fresh smelling.
Everyone working at Embassy Suites was very friendly and helpful. If you needed anything, just ask and it would be taken care of promptly. I found the breakfast had so many choices and absolutely loved the made to order omelettes and the homemade oatmeal. I am not a big breakfast eater, but totally pigged out every morning and it held me until dinner.
This year happy hour had better food as far as freshness goes. The veggies offered were very fresh and my favorite was the hummus for dipping. The bartenders make a good drink. My husband just had beer, but I would pay the upcharge for Titos or a different wine. This year, we didn't eat dinner at the hotel, but heard others say it was good.
Personally, I hate valet parking and was happy to see it's now self parking. We never had a problem finding a space and found it easy in and out.
From the Mgr, front desk people, bartenders, wait staff, cooks, etc, each and every person we encountered seemed to take pride in their job and it shows.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This is a very beautiful hotel. It’s sits in the middle of great restaurants, and store for shopping. The hotel is immaculately clean, and the rooms are clean to perfection every day. If by chance you don’t want to go out to eat, just go to the eighth floor for breakfast, which is free; or have lunch or dinner at a reasonable rate. I tip my hat to the Chef, because every meal I ate was top-tier.
The reason I rated the hotel a 3, is because I had a really bad experience with one of workers during breakfast. I was at the coffee station making coffee, she walked over picked my cup up by the rim with the filthy gloves, she was cleaning the tables and picking up trash with, and placed the cup on the side/bar Island area. I was baffled, so I stop, and stared at her. Then she proceeded to scold me(in front of all the guest), telling me to mix coffee on the bar area because if it spill over It will make a mess. I can understand that, and if a sign was posted, I would have not mixed my coffee in forbidden area. I just cannot believe she picked my coffee cup up by rim with the filthy gloves she was cleaning the tables and garbage and expecting me to put my lips on the cup and drink the coffee. Really where do they do that at? Very disrespectful.

Overall decent hotel with the location we needed. Be ready you will be charged for everything! Parking and amenity fee on top of lodging. The parking garage is super tight and hard to navigate if there is one than more car traveling through. It is 35.00/nt. There is a 25.00 amenity fee but you sorta use it to your benefit. They will credit back 25.00 ea night if you charge a purchase to your room from the restaurant or bar. Youre paying the amenity fee regardless so try to use it to your benefit. The breakfast was nice and the lady that makes the omelets and very efficient but could be more personable. I think she gets overwhelmed, the line gets very long. The evening reception gives you two drinks each so that was nice and very light snacks. The pool was poorly designed on the 8th floor under the shade. It is right next to the restaurant so you can see everyone. It also only has 6 lounge chairs so we didnt get a chair for the length of our stay. Our room was need of renovation. We didnt complain cause they were sold out and we needed that location for a wedding. Touch up paint spots in many spots that didnt match, damaged lamp shades, no automatic curtains even-though the sign on the wallsays to operate that way. Patch jobs for many things. It couldve been worse but if I am technically spending over 300/nt for the room and all fees I expected better.

I was charged $30 extra for parking per day, then another additional $25 per day for some fee that I’m not sure what is about and won’t be returned. They then tell you that you should use it in snacks, but don’t explain you can use 25 each day (so I lost the first 25) and 25 per day only…
They don’t clean up the room, unless you stay for more than 4 nights, in which case they will clean the room only on day 4.
At breakfast there’s no hot milk, only cold and there’s no microwave to heat it. When I asked about it and explained it was for my 2 yo, they didn’t bother to offer to heat it. One thing to highlight is the omelette Oz prepared is great!
We paid for a room for 4 and stayed with a 2 yo and a 6 yo, but beds were too small, not sure how 4 adults would sleep comfortably.
I don’t see the point of staying at a hotel if they charge you extra for parking and don’t clean the room.

We’ve stayed here a dozen times before, but we won’t again. $35/night for self parking? We used to pay less than that for valet. The parking lot did not require any key to get in, and elevators didn’t require a key to get to room floors, so there was no security whatsoever. Anyone could drive in, park and go to any floor The killer is the $25/day “destination charge.” What do you get for that? Wi-Fi, two hours on their e-bike rental, and a $25 credit/day at their restaurant. So, if you don’t eat at their restaurant, you’re paying $25/day for WiFi! In 2024. For all their new greediness, I didn’t see any improvement in service or the infrastructure.
As a frequent visitor and lifetime diamond Hilton Honors member, I am disappointed in this location, which used to be our favorite in Sarasota.

The service is good, the breakfast is also good, however the pool was closed due to the hurricane and parking is not free, $35 daily. The Westin is so much better and I heard they own the Hilton. The waiting time for the elevators is long when is busy. Overall, it’s cheaper than the Westin with breakfast included and our room was serviced daily, this would make it an okay to stay Hotel.

This hotel is just so wonderful and really insane value for the money! Everyone, yes I mean everyone, that works at this hotel is in a good mood and that is so unusual but I wish it wasn't. It certainly reflects on management. Location, pool, views, gym, free breakfast all spectacular but the staff is what makes the difference. Literally everyone from the front desk, housekeeping, folks working at the free breakfast etc etc etc. Most fun happy hour thanks to Greg, Zakk, Laura, Savannah and Kara! It made my friends and I want to be friends with them in real life LOL!

I had a terrible experience with Embassy Suites by Hilton Sarasota over Christmas. As a Hilton Diamond Member, I had booked a two-night stay for 12/24 and 12/25 months in advance, but on 12/23—less than 24 hours before check-in—they canceled my reservation via email. No explanation, no apology.
I tried calling the hotel, but no one answered. I left a message through the Hilton app, and customer service just told me to wait. Later that evening, I got a voicemail saying the cancellation was due to a power outage, but still no offer of help or compensation.
On Christmas Eve, I called again to see if they could relocate me to another Hilton property (standard policy for situations like this). The manager who answered was rude and cold, flat-out saying they couldn’t do anything for me.
I ended up scrambling to find another hotel on my own at the last minute. The only place available was way overpriced, super old, smelled bad (like foot odor), and had an air conditioner so ancient you had to fiddle with the room’s control panel to turn it on and off.
I expected so much better from Hilton. It’s shocking that they didn’t follow their own policies for Diamond Members, which include relocating guests to another Hilton property and covering the costs. This experience ruined what should’ve been a nice holiday, and I’ll think twice before trusting Hilton with important plans again.
