I enjoyed staying at MCC Hotel Tubod with free breakfast plus the swimming pool. Very reasonable price per night. Nice and clean swimming pool. Friendly staff and they were very helpful. They have free parking. I loved the location it’s secluded from noisy street of Tubod, I could sleep peacefully. They have hot showers, air conditioning , hair dryer and safety deposit box. The bedroom was clean and very comfortable. I asked for twin bed coz I had my sister with me. I would recommend this place and I will come back again.

Room Tip: They have free and huge parking spaces. A lot of security and I felt safe. Great for family.

We went to MCC Hotel for a family reunion. Since this was way out in the province, we didn't expect much and we weren't even hoping for much. We just needed a place to stay. But it was a pleasant surprise! The room was nice and spacious. There's even a large pool situated at the heart of the hotel area, a kid's playground, ample parking space, a restaurant, and a function room. They could use some hot water and wifi though, but all in all, it was a good stay. The price at the time was also worth it, at only P1,200.

I hit the excellent. Wouldn't you when you only pay P1,200.00 for a clean two-bed accommodation plus breakfast, round-the-clock access to swimming pool, kids playground, paved path for jogging/running and a perfect ambiance for a writer-in-retreat.
Whether you're out for fun with a group, backpacking in solo or in need of a place for your business meeting, wedding prenups/reception/party, this highly accessible hotel is for you. (It's along the national highway, just next to the Sports Complex and opposite the Agora Terminal).

Tips:
1. Travelling via public transport? Let's say, Iligan City is your point of origin, you may take either a public van or bus. [The rural transit bus (zamboanga liner) travels 24hours]. At present, bus fare from Iligan costs Php80.00 while that of van is Php60.00; fare from Mukas is P20.00.

2. Does the hotel serve meals aside from breakfast? I'm not sure but I think no. What I am certain is that there are restaurants (Ysmael's and Lola Coyang's), traveller's foodhouses (e.g. the one at the bus stop but I forgot the name), pizza-coffee house (Andrews Pizza and Bew Bros. Coffee) just some few minutes ride away. The motorcab fare per pax is Php7.00 (but the generous you may pay more).

3. The hotel sells souvenir shirts ad other items for Php400.00 or higher depending on design.

4. I haven't seen an ATM in the hotel vicinity but there's a bank (LBP) at the sentro (commercial center).

5. The "nearest" airports (3-4 hours inclusive of traffic) are Laguindingan International Airport (Misamis Oriental), Labo Airport (Ozamis City) and Pagadian City Airport.

I facilitated a seminar for government employees of the province of Lanao del Norte. My accommodations were taken care of by my hosts. I did not expect much since Tubod (the capital of Lanao del Norte) is not a city and that part of the province is not really known for tourist attractions. Was I terribly wrong? My hosts put me in one of the suites, which had excellent wooden furniture and flooring. It had a king-sized bed, a desk beneath the LED TV, a little study table by the window overlooking gardens, a huge cabinet, and a spacious bath and toilet. Internet connection was strong in my room. I did not pay for my accommodations but when I checked the price, I'd say I was getting so much more for it. The gardens are well-maintained. The "gazebo" where we had our seminar was at the back and there was a spacious garden beside it. It served our purpose well except for the poorer internet connection at that part of the hotel. There is a big well-maintained swimming pool which some of our participants used up to 10pm. I just think they were understaffed at the restaurant when they served our breakfast. There were so many of us and only two of them. Thus, it took some time for them to serve us our simple breakfast. For exceeding my expections by a mile, I'd rate this hotel excellent.

I agree with the two previous review that gave the hotel a "very good" rating. I am scaling mine though to excellent for the "value for money" criteria.

For a measly price of P1,200 for twin sharing room that comes with breakfast and access to the pool and a vast ground to do running/jogging and other outdoor activity, what else can one ask for? Add to that the fact that its very hard to find a very good hotel in the area. I could also not believe that this is a government-maintained facility.

All in all, service was good (except that one morning there was no water but this was attended to promptly), free breakfast was ok, and the rooms are big and clean.

If you are looking for a "getaway" hotel for a day or two where you do not want to be found and just want to laze around, then, by all means, this is the hotel for you.

We stayed in the hotel for two days. Well maintained and facilities could be considered a 4 star hotel. Large room. The pool is well maintained. Standard room is at 1,200.00. Very cheap considering the facilities available. Breakfast served was good, o yes, the parking space is big.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! Hotel room is super cozy! From the kind, courteous, an professional staff, to the meticulous, comfortable rooms and common areas, the clean pool, the playground (my son enjoyed it a lot), the beautiful scenery, and the delicious free breakfast.. The service and breakfast in the morning, was amazing!!! We ate near the pool with a beautiful and calming scenery.. My experience was nothing less than exceptional!!!!
Would highly recommend it to all of my friends and family. Just referred a good friend of mine and she was glad I referred MCC Hotel to her!!! BIG 5 STAR RATE for me!!!

Stayed here with friends for a couple of nights. This hotel is a pleasant surprise. From its simple yet elegant designs to the courteous and well-trained staff, it's a surprise this accommodation in Lanao del Norte is so affordable (standard room at Php1,200 with free breakfast for 2).

ROOM: Rooms have ample space. It is air-conditioned, and cable TV is available. The bed is comfortable, and linen is clean and freshly made. Toilet and bath area is also spacious, with hot and cold shower available. The design is quite dated, but still looks and feels elegant. However, it could use a little deep cleaning. The room we stayed in was a bit dusty.

STAFF: Service is impeccable. Everyone who worked in the hotel is warm, courteous, friendly, well-trained, and quick to respond to customer requests.

BREAKFAST: Room rates come with complimentary breakfast served in the hotel's restaurant. Food is delicious, and the serving size is filling. There are limited options, however.

WIFI: There is wifi available in the lobby. Speedtest result is 9mbps on average. No wifi access in the rooms though. Mobile data (Globe) is also unstable in the room. We stayed in Building 2.

Overall, the experience was good, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Lanao del Norte.

P.S. Pool deck was under renovation during our visit. We weren't able to try swimming. Maybe for next time. ;)

I was thrilled to find this resort, a gem in any part of the world. The structure to the staff were all first class. Much love and care went into this facility. Security was present but not overbearing, all requests and issues resolved professionally and politely. The staff were obviously well trained and hand picked. Our economy room was spotless and cleaned at our request no matter what the time. The pool is the finest I've seen anywhere and accessible 24 hours.

Amazing hotel that came to my rescue after a disastrous stay at another hotel. Same price but room was immaculate and spotlessly clean. The girls cleaning my room Jesah and Mor were only young but were the beat room attendants I’ve had for a long time. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they were kind, thoughtful and caring. I’m disabled and they couldn’t do enuf to look after me. The reception staff and management were also brilliant and after a terrible fall l suffered went out of their way to look after and care for me. The food was very reasonably priced good service and very tasty. Not pre cooked and microwaved when required. Security staff very helpful always willing to walk up to the main road and arrange transport for you. Always smiling and full of good advice. No ridiculous charges like other hotel, no disrepair ataff always happy to see you and smiling at you. This would be a $200 a night room in Australia 🇦🇺. I’ll be returning here again. CONGRATULATIONS MCC YOU HAVE WON MY BEST VALUE HOTEL ANYWHERE I HAVE STAYED IN THE WORLD. KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK AND A SPECIAL THANKS TO JESAH AND MOR 👏 👏👏👏👏😊😊😊😊😊
