Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stopped at the Residence Inn overnight on our way home from our Florida snowbird vacation. At this time we are facing the coronavirus pandemic.
This hotel is absolutely wonderful. There was such friendliness, kindness and consideration shown by the front desk staff. At this time, especially, cleanliness is very important to all of us. Hand sanitizer dispensers were around the lobby. The usual breakfast served in the morning was changed to discourage groups of people eating together. Instead there was a table with brown bags, fruits, wrapped bagels, water and coffee. "Grab and go bags". Our room was cleaned by Amy Lynn who did an extraordinary job of making our room shine. The bed was so comfortable, the pillows were wonderful and the bedclothes were fresh and smelled so good. Thanks Amy Lynn. We thank the entire hotel staff who have worked so hard to provide comfort for us during this frightening time. We have been there before and will definitely go again.

Our check in was significantly soured by the debacle with the new Marriott/Chaise Bank credit card. The room price for two nights was supposed to be part of the sign up statement credit, when in fact we ended up having to pay out of pocket. Regrettably, we didn’t get much assistance with this issue from the front desk personnel during our check in. The front desk clerk was quite indifferent and it was a pity, because great customer service could have been what would compel me to give this hotel 5 starts.

We are having a house built in PSL, so we visit every so often to check on things. This was our first time at this particular Residence Inn. Check-in went smooth even with a hiccup on my part. The gentleman checking us in was great.

The room was comfortable and nicely laid out. The bed and pillows were comfortable as well. Our room had a walk in shower with a glass slider. Good water pressure, a shelf for your stuff and even a step to shave your legs. The sink is separate from the toilet/ shower which is how we prefer it. The room has tons of outlets to charge your devices, huge plus.

The kitchen area was well stocked for our needs. The hotel does not have ice machines, so you rely on your fridges ice maker. The ice maker works well, but needs to be turned off before you go to bed, just because of the noise when the ice drops.

The room was absolutely quiet. We never heard our neighbors unless they were in the hallway. I didn't use any of the amenities, so cannot comment on that. The breakfast was just ok. I'm not big on breakfast, I'm happy with say, a yogurt or a bagel. No breads are offered. No toast, no bagels, no English muffin. No yogurt. They had oatmeal with toppings, Frosted Flakes & corn flakes. Hard boiled eggs, muffin, and scones. They also have three hot option. Sausage-egg-cheese biscuit, breakfast burrito and egg soufflé. My husband was happy with the hot options. The breakfast attendant was so very nice and helpful.

We will definitely return and may consider a long term stay if we sell our current home before our new one is ready.

Less than 24 hours before our scheduled stay here, I was informed that due to a 'plumbing emergency', my reservation was being transferred to another local hotel. After staying in this location for the prior 10 years, I was offered no compensation for my inconvenience and disappointment. Instead, I was treated disrespectfully by the general manager and, after raising her voice at me, told that I had no other options. Typically a good experience, we will never stay on a Mariott property again after being treated this way.

Marriott I have an idea for you. Why don’t you create a hotel that is specifically for pets and owners. Also if you allow people to have pets why don’t you only assign them to certain floors and let everybody else who’s on a regular vacation and decided to leave their pets at home enjoy their vacation. Most importantly if you say you’re gonna deep clean when people have pets there actually do that! I can 1000% tell you just cleaned it like A regular room so Why charge all the fees if you’re not gonna clean it like you’re supposed too. If the hotel is not 100% full Why do you put people right next to each Other? This was just awesome waking up and hearing a dog bark loud While I’m in the shower, while I’m watching TV, while I’m trying to read a book and enjoy vacation.

The hotel is nice, it is under some renovations, however our room 422 smelled SO STRONG of mothballs. Called front desk, they sent a worker up who was sick and could not smell, sprayed room spray which worked for a short few hours...had 2 small kids...3 days in that smell was awful and stuff now smells like it. Had friends come over a day were gagging at the smell...we must had gotten more immune to it. Also did a load of laundry $2.50 per washer and dryer eash and the dryer took 2 round for $5.00 an hour and half and clothes were still damp so $7.50 to do one small load of laundry dry.

This place has roaches (room 206). I checked in for a three night stay and on the second night at 12a, we saw a baby roach on the bed and then a grown roach on the headboard. We saw two additional roaches in the sink as we were packing our things up to leave that night. The man at the front desk was apologetic and offered to give us another room but because seeing even 1 roach in a room, to me, indicates a problem, I asked him for a refund instead. He gave me the assistant manager and manager's numbers and told me someone would reach out to me later that day (because by the time we checked out it was about 1a). I called the number given and briefly spoke to the assistant manager who said the manager would be the one to assist. He forwarded me to her voicemail and I left a message. She never returned my call. I don't know if it was because I booked through a third-party and the third-party was responsible for refunding me but regardless, I feel that is really unprofessional. After struggling to find a hotel that would take us in at 1a, we had to get all of the necessary items to be able to wash our clothes and find a laundromat. It was truly a miserable experience. Priceline refunded me for the nights we did not stay.

My wife and I wanted a restful getaway after a long pause in travel due to Covid. Our stay here did not disappoint! The room and facilities are very clean. The kitchen and full size refrigerator was very handy for our week-long stay. The included buffet breakfast was nice, and was served by staff as added protection. Not a tremendous variety but it was suitable. The breakfast staff was great; they would wrap our food so we could eat in our room, and give me a tray to make it easy to transport. Internet speed is great. Wish it was a password protected network, but overall suited all our needs. Very nice and varied selection of restaurants and supermarkets within a 10 minute drive. Had a very pleasant interaction with the manager Ronnie; she was very willing to help us out with a request! Overall really enjoyed our stay and will come back if the opportunity is there!

Our 11 year old daughter has an emotional support animal and when we checked in we were asked to provide all our documentation which they scanned and advised us we would not be charged for the pet fee. 2 days later once we checked out I received an email with a $100 pet fee. I immediately called and explained what happened and I was told it would be resolved and I would receive a new invoice. Later that day I did not receive anything and called again. I was told to call back in the morning so the manager could remove the pet fee. This morning I made a 3rd call and explained the situation again and spoke to someone who put me on hold several times. The lady comes back to the phone only to say that Emotional Support Animals are not considered service animals and we would be charged. I asked why was I was not told that originally...I mean I was told one thing when I checked in then I made 3 phone calls and now you tell me this. This is not stated anywhere on the website or at the hotel. I was dissatisfied and disappointed the way this was handled. My daughter was embarrassed and we had to jump through hoops providing documents for nothing. Beware!

We sincerely apologize for the confusion regarding your stay. Please be advised that while we are a pet friendly hotel, the pet fee of $100 plus taxes applies to all guests traveling with a pet unless it is a Certified Service Animal that has been trained to perform a specific living saving task. Emotional Support animals are not covered by the ADA's Certified Service Animal policies. We do our best to explain this to every guest upon arrival and again we are very sorry if we fell short of that during your visit.
