Check in very smooth agent friendly wanted to give dinner recommendations but we were meeting friends in area. Beds comfortable our room was clean. Only issue was our shower hot water didn’t work. We had to make last minute plans for an extended stay while in Florida. Needed a Hotel in a specific area and this was a last minute choice. The rooms were nice set up and kept clean. We did not encounter any problems. Here during the Corona "crazy" and there were several locations within walking distance that we were able to get food for take out ... purchased some disposable dish ware and ate a couple meals in our room with no problem.

I am a repeat guest. I stay their when I have business in the area and have seen the new great upgrades in room decor. The price is right, and the service is just great. The staff is by far the most accommodating group of people.... worthy of any 5 star Hotel.

I'll try make this brief. The Howard Johnson in Port Richey, FL is AMAZING!! If you're looking for a budget friendly, CLEAN, no bugs, very nice rooms, & well located hotel, this is it. Friendly staff, good parking lot, spacious room (we had a ground floor king-rm.112). The Continental Breakfast was to be as expected. Book online & search for the best rates, I overheard other patrons who paid a lot more than us, & they still got a great deal for the quality they received. Kudos to Mr.Nazar & all of the front desk crew, along with the awesome housekeeping team at the Port Richey Howard Johnson!!!

Please save yourself the misery of staying in this place. No room service, no kleenex, one extra roll of toilet paper, glue on bathroom door where mirror would have been. And lots more. I have pictures!! NEVER AGAIN!

The front desk lady was very nice and the room wasn't too bad. However, at 10pm we had to call the front desk about the noise coming from the neighbor. They were playing some bass music that just boomed all night long. At 4am I called the desk again and went down there. Finally the music stopped but I was so mad I couldn't get back to sleep. And the creepy neighbor even had a camera facing out his window behind the curtain. Were they expecting someone? I notified the office when we checked out what an awful experience we had. No refunds! A big sorry, enjoy the rest of your day. Ugh! So, we learned after stopping at a local gas station for coffee that there are many people living in this hotel. Not a good experience at all. Find some place else!

The ladies keep my room clean and supplied for the entire week of my stay. They were friendly and provided places to go that were still open in regards to the current covid situation. The only complaint I had was that the water temperature could have been warmer.

I wanted to gift someone a stay at the hotel after they had already booked it. Stephanie, the manager, was awesome and made the process simple, easy and quick. I've stayed at this hotel on many occasions over the last 10 years and it's never let me down. Staff give you a great welcome and excellent service. The rooms are very pleasant, well maintained and clean. You can have a king or 2 double beds. Rooms are equipped with coffee makers, hairdryers, iron and ironing board. There is a good continental buffet breakfast included in the very low price. I've just returned home from my latest stay there and I paid $49 per night, using coupons from the Travelsaver book, which is widely available in chain restaurants such as Perkins, Denny's etc. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. It beats more expensive options hands down.

The unit I was in was roomy & clean incl: coffeemaker w/coffee, cups, sugar, sweet & low, cream, micro, frig,, flat screen TV, king size bed, convert. sofa, digital clock radio, wonderful full-head shower with plenty of hot water, single AC/heat unit which I was able to change immediately from one to the other & both worked perfectly. I got fresh linens daily. I had some trouble connecting my PC & they sent someone to my room to connect it for me & it was fine. They have a full size washer & drier, ice & soda machines near the pool area which was clean, had table & chairs & a few lounge chairs & even a wheelchair lift for going into the pool. I read some previous reveiws before I came down from Staten Island, NY and was apprehensive, but decided to take a chance and if I did not like it I would go to another place the next day. I have been here 2 and a half weeks and am very satisfied with everything. I don't know what these people expected, but I NEVER saw any kind of bug anywhere and there is no one loitering around anywhere. The staff is very polite and helpful. Continental breakfast was coffee, tea, hot choc, juice drinks, Eng. muffins, bagels (NOT the NY kind!, but ok) mini donuts & pastries, instant oatmeal packets, 2 different cold cereals, packets of butter, peanut butter, jelly, cream cheese,--plenty for a bite to eat in the morning! The breakfast room is bright & cheery with flat screen TV on wall & nice tables & chairs. (I only wish it lasted tilI 10 am) If you want a big breakfast, there is a Perkins Pancake Restaurant across the Highway (19). Next door to that is a Wendys. Next door to the motel is a KFC/Taco Bell and on the other side of them is a Chineese Restaurant/take out which is at the beginning of a strip of stores which includes a Dollar store, CVS, and Odd Lot store. These are all very convenient and right next door. This is a very comfortable place- it probably had some renovations done--the bed was very comfortable-not too soft or hard or lumpy, I have 4 new pillows, tv is new, bathroom shower head and curtain and toilet bowl are also new. The carpeting also looks pretty new, bedspread is pretty new, the bath mats are new but some of the towels still need to be replaced. However, even though the towels & sofa are not new, they do not have any warn out spots. I would guess that they are being replaced as needed. I stayed in the front building on the lower, "even" side and this was my experience. I hope this helps-
