We had been driving along the Panhandle of Florida and had hoped to stay there but much of it has not recovered from the hurricanes so ended up driving longer and later than planned and finally stopped in Perry, Both the Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn were booked so with no other choice and it being late we checked into the Econo Lodge. O My!! What a beaten up, old unkept hotel. The lobby was the best thing..... beat up and broken furniture, a dozen wires hanging on the wall below a small tv hanging crooked on the wall...bathroom very tiny and the tile grout black and it need of repair. If it hadn't been so late we would not have stayed, there is a sign on the wall in the office that says no refunds,I realize this is on the lower end of the hotel chain but thee is no excuse for not keeping things updated and clean.

This is one of many old style strip motels in old Florida. We found it dated but just fine, Inexpensive, clean, hot water with great water pressure, Clean as can be when you are working with old motels. The bed was comfy and it was quiet. The owner seems very nice, and there is always coffee on and a donut for breakfast. You can't do better for the price. The only complaint I have is that the floors needed to be cleaned, my feet and socks were black after a few hours. I never saw any bugs as others complained about, and just so you know a palmetto bug and a roach are the same thing. I get a chuckle out of that. It's a bug common in Fl. yes you might see one. If you aren't a fancy pants this place is just fine. Would stay again.

Room Tip: It's a strip motel, pretty much all the same.

It was adequate for a nights sleep, but it's old. Our tv needed 2 remotes to work; one for the channels, one for volume, and it had to be turned on and off on the tv itself. Continental breakfast. The heat worked well, the walls are thin.

Worst room ever! Water leak, water on floor, all over toilet with dirt left from tools. And this was a handicap room with a tub. Worms on floor. As someone said, bed comfortable but couldn’t sleep. Asked others how they’re room was and they said so/so.

Roaches! Bed was comfortable but stayed only a few hours because of ROACHES! Not palmetto bugs but nasty roaches! Wife would not sleep so I could not sleep! Bed was comfortable but “ slept” with all the lights on! Killed 4 roaches when we turned on lights!!!! Had to go through all furniture before she would try to sleep! Awful! Never again! Price was nice but never again!!!
