This hotel was ok for the price. It is a great location on the beach and because they have the extra lot off to the side people are able to spread out and it is not very crowded.

If I do go back to Panama Beach I would probably stay somewhere else. It didn’t give me a “clean” feeling. Everything seemed run down and grungy. The room did not seem clean at all. The laundry room had three washers and three dryers and only one washer was working.

They don’t offer housekeeping during your stay because of COVID-19, which I understand, but they should at least invest in putting brooms in each room so you can clean yourself. We ended up buying one so we weren’t stepping on sand our entire stay.

The beds were comfortable, but the couch in the living room was not. It doesn’t really accommodate a family of four. Also, the tv in the living room didn’t offer (or it didn’t work) cable/ satellite. It did have it in the bedroom part of the room.

The WiFi was horrible, only worked half of the time.

The person I dealt with at check-in was very nice and accommodating. There was another person behind the desk that was kind of rude to another hotel guest. The other guest was having trouble using the printer and she tried asking for help. The staff personnel said that is IT problem. The guest asked how she could contact them and the staff person just said she didn’t know and didn’t seem to want to help the guest at all. Didn’t even ask another co-worker if they knew. She eventually just walked to the back and I didn’t see her again.

We have stayed here for 17 + years and have never had a bad experience! It has always been a wonderful experience until recently. Our stay the past 4 days was not what we are used to at this hotel. Last time we were here it had changed a bit and we thought ok they are having a bad day or two...no it wasn't a bad day or two because this time was even worse. Check in was a complete disaster...not only was our room not ready (which has not ever been a problem) but they could not find my reservation..which was made 2 months prior they said they would call us and notify us when the room was ready...they did not call..after several hours We got back in line and found out they FORGOT to call. We asked for a high floor but were put on a very low floor,,granted I realize they can't promise a higher floor but when we were told sorry you didnt check in early enough for a high floor it upset us..since they took our money (checked in) and said they would call and never did! The so called renovations consisted of putting in a new end table, removing an end table from the otherside of the couch, putting in a new lamp and removing a set of drawers from the living room area. they did add 2 throw pillows and a new painting on the wall (which were pretty and appreciated). We had no working phone in the room,,which front desk knew about, We had 2 forks no frying pan or a tray to use in the oven. the paint was peeling terribly on the balcony and our biggest complaint was the pool was cleaned a total of 5 minutes on our first day there and not even touched for 2 days and then on our last day someone did semi cleaned the pool for maybe 10 /12 min.No pool towels at all for 3 days! There was a huge hole in one of the blankets which really was deplorable! They did not wipe down any of the tables or chairs on the pool deck which they always did prior to covid,,they didnt hose off the deck like they used to in the mornings! Also there is some funky water spouting out of a pipe on the backside of the Tiki Bar,,which spews water onto the sidewalk and onto cars which are parked near by, It smells terrible so who knows what it is! This used to be our home away from home but unfortunatly we can't say that any longer! while we were standing in line trying to see if our room was ready the housekeeping staff kept coming into the front desk area and telling them they needed keys cause they could not get in some of the rooms! How could they possibly do their duties if they can't get in the room! Kudos to housekeeping for getting us another fork and a frying pan! The room was clean so no complaints there. I really NEVER leave a bad review but they are progressively going downhill!

I don’t understand the bad reviews. I have stayed here twice. I realize when I book that I am not booking the Taj Mahal. What I’m booking is a clean, convenient, roomy beachside motel. The rooms have been updated since my last visit. New couch (sleeper) and new bedroom furniture. You will be close to Pier Park and many restaurants. The poolside tiki bar is a great feature for snacks and drinks - definitely get the Barefoot Punch! Pool is nice with poolside chairs with umbrellas. Both elevators were working fine during our time here. Ice machines on odd numbered floors. Floor 3 may have palm trees blocking your view. I suggest floor 5 and up. Housekeeping does a good job cleaning the rooms but be warned they don’t get in a hurry. Several guest rooms were not ready until after the 4pm check in time. Our 2 rooms were ready around 4:15. If you arrive early just grab a poolside chair and tiki drink and be patient. They will call you when your room is ready and you’ll be happy at how clean it is! I will mention that the outside of the building needs maintenance. Loose screw on our balcony railing - loose board on stairs leading to beach - needs exterior maintenance. All in all I’ve been happy with both of my stays at this hotel.

Have stayed here many times over the last 20 years, and this time was the worst! We made our reservations for two rooms in October. Checked on them twice and was reassured we had two rooms with beach view next to one another. We attempted to check in and our rooms were not ready, although they dis not give is our keys they assigned certain rooms on the 5th floor only to arrive and told we no longer have those rooms as they were given away. The front desk personnell attempted to give us 2 different rooms on the 5th floor but they each had industrial air blowers as the carpets were just cleaned and still wet, she gave attempted this two more times with the same result. There were no more rooms avail so we were sent to The Legacy by the sea down the street. At this point it was 11:30 pm and we were exhausted. We arrived at The Legacy by the Sea and the front desk personnel greeted us kindly and were respectful and pleasant . One of our rooms was not pleasant, with a hole in the bath tub covered up with white duct tape and a couch that was dilapitated not to mention a phone that didnt work to call down to complain. We decided enough is enough and we would simply leave this review . The rooms were clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable and may I add they both had an amazing view! We are very dissapointed in our interactions with both hotels.

Okay gonna start with it.
The room was typical, with two beds kitchenette, and a living room with a table for dining. Loved the fact that they provided a lot of the essentials like plates, silverware, cups, and pots and pans. The stove and fridge worked great. Ac worked (I have to mention that I've stayed at some and it didn't and it was during hot months as well)
Love the access to the pool and tiki bar!!! Beds were super comfy!!

Cons:1:-
Jacuzzi is more like a hot hot pool. Jets weren't working.
2:-
Watch out and be very careful on the concrete around the pool and jacuzzi it's uneven and very sharp.
3:-
Their overall customer service and housekeeping sucks!
When we checked in there was nobody upfront I was standing up there for a good 15 minutes before a lady came from the back to assist me. Their housekeeping is supposed to come to your room every day to make your bed, take out trash and freshen up the room. No they only came one time the whole week we stayed and I saw them on our row and talked to them and they said they would take care of it so be prepared to go without towels and ask the front desk for some and deal with that

4: the view sucked we were put on the far end of the first set of rooms room 201. I don't know if we could have controlled that even tho I did book the room a year ahead of time.
The room is far out from the modem the free wifi didn't work due to not getting a signal.

Overall I give it a 3 For what you get and the price it's fairly reasonable. It has everything that was expected and looked just like pictures. Would be rated higher if
Wifi worked, the hospitality and housekeeping was more efficient and effective. I don't know if we will stay here again.

It is an older Middle Grade Hotel with great views, close to eating joints and a grocery store with a bare minimum breakfast offering and priced okay (except for weekend jumps of an extra$70! per night). It has a Tiki bar, a good pool and limited parking. The main downfall was the help. I know it is hard getting good help with a work ethic these days but several of the employees (but not all) were either rude or they seemed aggravated when you simply asked for washcloths! The rooms are not cleaned too good and i also wish the beds were in the room by the balcony instead of in the room by the noisy front door.

This hotel offered a free night's stay to members of the Red Cross following Hurricane Michael in November of 2018. Our group was so grateful to have a bed to sleep in and bathrooms, after sleeping on cots in FEMA tents and showering in shower trailers for days. The hotel staff was so nice and the our door was yards from the beach. Walked on the beach with my coffee at sunrise and it was beautiful. I will always be grateful for this kindness and intend to return when COVID restrictions ease-up.

The staff were absolutely wonderful! Held our luggage when we arrived early and very accommodating!

The rooms however need a huge face lift. They smell old, the ventihood in the suite above the stove looks awful. The dishes to accommodate looks like pieces that other guests have left. Paint is peeling inside and out, carpet is dingy. It’s definitely not a a 3 star hotel, but for the most part is clean (wearing flip flops on the carpet). A little expensive for the decor.

Now the view from the balcony is spectacular if you are on the upper floors- still noisy from the pool- but the sound of the waves is glourious!

All in all- not a bad stay. I would consider again if nothing available.

I came down to spend time with family in town. My boys & I decided we wanted to stay out at the beach so we found vacancy at this place. They were able to get us 3 rooms. Our room was not the best but was clean & updated somewhat. My cousins room, especially her shower, looked awful. Looked unfinished from handicap remodel. My kids feet were black from walking barefoot in room 😳. The outside, stairwells & balconies seriously need pressure washing...just dirty! However, the people were very friendly, pool was clean, outside hot tub not in service, had yellow tape around & drained 😞, tiki bar guy was cool, small place so I was comfortable with my pre teens walking back & forth from the room to the pool & beach without me & location is convenient to Pier Park, Winn Dixie & 79 to get to the parkway quickly. I think the price was a little too high but it was beach front with a beautiful view from our balcony so we enjoyed our short stay!

checked in on oct. 24,2021. bathroom floor was dirty. kitchenette had one glass and no skillet. stove was rusty. picture window overlooking ocean was frosted due to air getting into double pained window. could not even see the view. electrical wires we hanging out of what was once a smoke detector. balcony was dirty as well as walkway into the room. elevator was dirty and not working properly. there was no inspection certificate posted in either elevator. cooked my bacon and eggs in a large soup pot. i found the toaster would not work. the next day i asked for a new room and the desk clerk was not friendly and acted if i was bothering her. i changed rooms and found it to be a little better except the skillet i found in the cabinet was burnt, greasy, and the handle was about to fall off. goodwill would have thrown it away. i asked for a different skillet and again the desk clerk acted like i was bothering her but i did get one. the continental breakfast was a joke. i got an orange which was spoiled and a muffin which was soft and greasy. we needed towels so we went to the lobby and was told they didn't have any towels available at that time. every time i went to the lobby i found two or three people from house keeping hanging out instead of working. no wonder the place is so dirty. we checked out and got no much as a thank you. i have stayed here for years and have recomended it to friends, but i will never ever go back to this place.

We rented chairs for $25 a day at the end of May. There were plenty available. Last year I think I paid $30 a day. Sometimes I have been able to negotiate the price down a little. As soon as you get there go down to the beach hut and rent then for the next day or however many days you want. 🏖
