Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando receives accolades for its spotless rooms and efficient staff, though some guests have encountered service inconsistencies. The hotel's ambiance, with its striking entrance and inviting music, is widely appreciated, although a few find the decor could use refreshing. While the value proposition garners mixed reviews, the prime location and convenient park access are celebrated by many visitors. Amenities such as the pool and water taxi service are popular, despite the occasional extra cost, but room experiences can vary, with some concerns over temperature and dated design.

Stayed here for a Nursing Conference. Property is a short drive from the Orlando Airport. They do have a daily parking fee. Check in was quick and easy. If you arrive early baggage services is close to the check in if you want to hit the parks or pool while you wait for your room. There are 2 restaurants on property one that opens after 4 pm and the other that is available all day. They also offer a grab and go location that stays open fairly late into the night. Hot breakfast sandwich in am, cooler with sandwiches and salads in afternoon and hot food line in afternoon and evening. For the most part the staff are friendly, yet some appear to be overwhelmed working longer hours at times. Rooms are well appointed and beds are fairly comfortable. Did notice that our sink would make strange noises after we showered. House keeping could be hit or miss during the trip. I would recommend buy a resort cup for refreshments a 20oz soda will run you 5$ per bottle or you can get mug for 20$ entire trip . There are freestyle soda machines in the grab and go location and at the pool. Coffee makers are in each room .

We had a great 4 night stay at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando. We really liked our room which was made up each day with lots of toiletries and fresh towels, coffee replenishment etc. Beds were really comfortable too.

Lobby area was lovely and we sat in this area each morning to eat a grab and go breakfast from New Dutch Trading Company. The breakfast options were a bit limited and pretty expensive for what it was, however, we did really enjoy the egg white burritos which were very filling. We didn't eat any other food in the hotel, preferring to eat at City Walk after a day in the parks.

We used the pool area once and this was really nice and very quiet. Nice beach towels provided too.

We also used the laundry. Machines seemed pretty old and not in great condition but were suitable to freshen up our clothes.

We really liked being able to walk to the parks in around 15 minutes and we preferred this option to taking the boat. Time wise I think they're around the same timing.

Overall, we had a great stay and really enjoyed being so close to the parks. Only downside was the cost of the parking. When spending a lot to stay in a park hotel, the parking should be included in the room cost like it is in other competitor park hotels.

Please ignore all the bad reviews of this hotel, this must have been a unique experience. We were a family of 4, one 8 year old and one 15 year old and a mother in law. Got a taxi from the airport, was around 20 mins.

Upon arrival the reception area is beautiful, we had a long stay of 2 weeks so was relieved. Yes we had to share a room with all four of us, my mother in law had her own room, we had a bath she had a shower not sure why?! But the view from both rooms was spectacular, the beautiful waterfalls, lagoon and rides in the distance were second to none.

We had shopping delivered to the hotel and just had to meet him outside to collect.

The beds were SO COMFORTABLE, literally we got home and our 8 year old made us buy a mattress topped because he missed 'his florida bed' haha.

The rooms had a separate mirror and sink from the bathroom which was a godsend for me sharing with 3 boys, they will charge you for that fancy fiji water on the way out though. Everything was cleaned everyday and left spotless.

The pool area was stunning! Prices to make your eyes water but we knew this coming to florida, the kids meals were good value and we had the nachos which were great.

Lifeguards regularly testing each other on duty and saw 2 rescues, they are on the ball!

Waterside really fun AND the red hot jacuzzi pool was to die for after walking around all day in the parks, pool open till 11 too which was amazing. Little firepit to do marshmallows on was a nice touch at night. Can refill water from the machines or buy a refillable cup which were such good value and cheaper than next door aventura I noticed (although they do have some better food options if you're craving veggies and noodles!

Little coffee shop aswell which we used a lot for snacks.

Boat ride to the parks was a beautiful relaxing touch, never too busy and always a pleasure.

Some kids parties around the pool but never too overcrowded.

We had one issue where our son had collected all the souvenir cups and left them in a plastic bag in our room and the cleaning staff accidently binned them. The reception staff were so lovely about it and although we never got them back they did credit us with some money to go and buy them again.

We never ate in the steak restaurant so can comment. Got ubers from outside the hotel- really quick Walmart not far.

Magical to watch the fireworks and drones in the distance.

Our flight was late on and they let us use the gym facilities to get showered and ready.

This was such a magical holiday for us and it wouldn't have been the same without this hotel, the beautiful relaxing decor was a welcome break from the overstimulating parks, I would go back in a heartbeat.

Check-in was very quick and easy, and the rooms were spacious. The beds were very comfortable too and the cleaners came in everyday when we were out. A couple issues would be that the shampoo and conditioner weren’t being refilled throughout our stay, and the room didn’t have any soap. We checked with friends and they didn’t have soap either. Also, the curtains wouldn’t fully shut, so in the early morning, some light would be coming in which would wake us up which was a little annoying.

For breakfast, we went to the buffet for the first morning and it was very expensive for what we got. For a quick meal, I recommend the Dutch Trading Co because it’s a lot cheaper.

The water taxis to the park are so frequent and the drivers were so nice.

I stayed at the hotel with family the lobby of the hotel is bright and airy. It has a tropical vibe and discreet Caribbean music is piped through the system. My checkout experience was extremely efficient and easy. It was also a lifesaver because we were able to check in early. The room itself had decorations of light blue and white, with a view overlooking the pool area. The noise from outdoors was not bad but I did hear the snoring of the person to the right of us. The room I chose had a shower and bath (which I feel is necessary after a long day of walking the parks). What you notice most about this hotel is the warmth of its staff, they consistently smile and give greetings and check in to see whether you need help. The bathrooms were clean if not small, and the water pressure was just above a trickle. For a room that sleeps up to 4-5 the bathroom configuration/size was a shocker. There is one sink with little to no counter space. The mirror was cool, it could be dimmed and brightened with a touch. There were also plenty of outlets for devices in the room and it also came with a refrigerator. We explored the resort a bit, the pool was consistently busy and did have kids' activities. The Jacuzzi we found was always overcrowded and we were never able to get in. One of the biggest pluses of this hotel is the option of taking the bus, boat, or walking to the parks. This is the primary reason I went to this hotel. One of the biggest drawbacks was the Sapphire Falls boat lines were always much longer than the other resorts so it was normal to have to wait for another vote. I visited the gift shop and it is fairly large and carries souvenirs, necessities, and swimsuits. There was also a coffee/breakfast and a sit-down restaurant downstairs that was not at all something to write about that I will review at a later time. For the nightly cost, location, and guest service, Sapphire Falls is definitely worth it. Universal is beginning to replace Disney as my resort area of choice.

We stayed at Loews Sapphire Falls during Christmas Holiday ( 7 nights)
Everything at this hotel was great.
Check In was easy and efficient , we received all necessary information for our stay.
Room was specious, clean and included everything we needed ( we don't stay in the room - sleep, wash and get out) Fridge and coffee machine were great - bring your own coffee pods if you like quality coffee.
Pool was AMAZING : bar , food, water slide for kids and many lifeguards made us feel safe. Arcade was a nice touch.
We also ate at the restaurant - pizza, burgers, once breakfast - service was excellent.
Hotel also has a food counter, universal gift store, bar....
Service at this hotel was just amazing - every interaction we had was professional and friendly.
Not to forget free water taxi to City Walk or you can just walk there 10-15 min top.
We will be back for sure to visit Super Mario Park.

We stayed there for 4 nights. The hotel is generally nicely done, including the rooms. The taxi boat connection to Universal Studios is great.

However, it has a few disadvantages which is why we would not stay at the hotel again. The pool is only suitable for small children because it is max. 90 cm deep and very warm. The service at the pool was extremely bad, we had to run after the waiter to get our drinks and food. Drinks and meals were extremely average. Tip 18% is mandatory even with bad food and service (we complained). The breakfast was not particularly good. We then only had breakfast at IHOP and ate dinner out, which was better and cheaper. Our room was only made up on request and we had to remind them every day.

We've been coming to Sapphire Falls many times since 2016. Unfortunately, this stay was subpar. We stayed 10/14-21. We were serviced by Housekeeping two times. The first time, our beds were made but no towels were left for us & our trash wasn't removed. We contacted the Star Service who told us they "choose rooms randomly to clean due to staffing issues." HOW is this even possible? We explained that the literature says bed linens will be changed on the 4th day. Ours was not. We had to request this which then took place on the 5th day. Even with that, we had to request towels as we were left with 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels. In addition, your hotel once provided family entertainment on weekends at the pool which was a delight for kids. Though you did have a great DJ on Sunday, nothing else took place. Very disappointing. Your hotel, unlike other competitors, charged us $15.98 to have a $6.00 bottle of cream my son needed / delivered from Amazon. Never heard of this before and the clerks argued with us over this. We refused the bottle and had to go out to a store to purchase for my son. We will take our business elsewhere. What was once a place so happy to us really took a turn. And please don't blame the pandemic, as we have stayed there during the pandemic and didn't deal with these issues.

We enjoyed ourselves so much, my husband and I took our two adult children for an end of the summer sta-cation. The boat rides were so nice, right into the park with just a short distance to walk. We had drinks at the bar, in which the bartender, Christian made the most amazing Espresso Martini with a chocolate flavored Rum! Yes, I said Rum. & I loved it.

Dinner with so special at their restaurant with such lovely service. We enjoyed the pool in the afternoon until the storm rolled in, in which we all went undercover for lunch/drinks or some gaming; the arcade is so fun and kept the kids busy with a ton of different and exciting games, electronic.

Later in the evening, we went back out and enjoyed the pool/bar and hot tub while meeting other guests. **made a few new friends. I didn't love the coffee that they supplied in the rooms, very "generic", but the coffee shop downstairs is great for a cup of JOE.

The atmosphere was beautiful, we enjoyed our coffee in the morning in the huge and glamorous lobby overlooking the lagoon with the boats, it was the time of the Olympics, so we did get to watch that on the Giant TV in the lobby area. Phenomenal time and I would recommend this holtel to friends. HEADS UP: THIS hotel does not offer free fast passes, they start at $189 and you can get 3 different types of fast passes. If you want free fast passes you have to look into the Premium hotels, like Portofino! The lines at the park ranged from 10-1 hour (end of Aug, back to school time).

This resort may be suitable for many families but not ours. My husband was traveling for business and we were supposed to stay at another Lowe’s hotel I researched extensively before deciding to bring our adult disabled daughter. The other hotel was promising. We require connecting rooms, one with a wheel-in shower and one with a king bed since my husband is 6’ 4” and hangs off a queen bed. For whatever reason we were moved here. I immediately called the hotel to make sure this configuration was possible. When we checked in we were told this was the configuration we had. Unfortunately, when we got to our rooms this was not the case. Two queen connecting rooms, one handicap accessible. First we were told the error was made by the person who reserved the room. Later, when pressed, we were told they don’t offer that configuration. Okay, we had 4 beds and disappointedly moved on even though anywhere we parked the wheelchair it either blocked the door or bathroom. Our shower didn’t work properly if at all. My daughter’s toilet only flushed half the time. One day we never had housekeeping and the next I had to ask 3 times to have my room cleaned even though they’d cleaned my daughter’s already. The last straw was being charged $17 for receiving a $5.99 crayon delivery from Amazon. We won’t even address overcharging for room service items. The 3 stars are for the many helpful staff.
