LsNE33, thank you staying with Marriott. I am unsure from your question why the hotel you have reserved doesn't have a pool, however, there are two reasons why this may occur. The first one would be the hotel has a pool but it is closed for renovation or maintenance. In this case the hotel will typically have a plan in place to accommodate guests who request access to the pool. This is would normally involve an agreement to allow guest use of another nearby hotels pool. This would be a typical scenario, but each hotel and market is different and this may not be the case in New Orleans. Anytime a hotel features an amenity and it is not available to guests for renovations, or other reasons, you should inquire with the Front Desk to see what options are available to you. All we ask is your understanding in these situations as sometimes things do happen that are out our control, and while we never like to say no to a guest request, the options available may be limited. The other reason would be there simply is no pool at the hotel you reserved. In this case the hotel most likely will not have an agreement in place as it is not an amenity they offer and it appears they have notified guests of this advance of their arrival. Ask the hotel about shuttle? You can use their toll free phone line and speak with their super helpful front desk. Alternatively, Taxi/ride share? We had excellent service using Uber. Good luck!
