It looks like this property has recently been renovated, which I notice is being done by more and more Marriott properties around the world. Great place as such, great staff. Reception seems a little hidden towards the left of the lobby, could be a bit more open to my taste. Also, the room doors are not so good in isolating noise, that's why they probably supply earplugs complimentary in the room. Great M lounge also. Would definitely be back next time around.

This Marriott was very well kept and convenient for our downtown meeting. In these COVID conscious times the hotel is very doing a great job to protect patrons. If you need a hair dryer, iron or ironing board you need to call the front desk. Starbucks is in the building for breakfast and free with hotel status. The lounge/bar serves dinner and opens at 5, closes at 10.

This Marriott is doing a terrific job of balancing the realities of a global pandemic with excellent customer service in a lovely hotel. Yes, the hallways might only be vacuumed every other day due to drastically reduced staffing levels that correspond with drastically reduced occupancy levels, but how is that a surprise? And how big a deal is that anyway? And sure the immediate environment around the hotel is on the gritty side — that’s city property in a downtown metro area during a pandemic and economic calamity. Hardly within the control of the hotel. What IS within their control is friendly, professional service, crisp clean sheets on great beds with down pillows and comforters, clean and well-appointed rooms, a gorgeous lobby (also sparkling clean), and enough amenities to cover the basics safely during the pandemic. Can you get a drink in the very cool bar at noon? — No. There’s not enough business to keep the bar open all day. Duh. But the bar is open in the evenings and it was pretty lively during our stay. Are there coffee makers in the rooms? — YES! Plus there’s a Starbucks in the lobby for fancy coffees and munchies. Is there free breakfast? No. Marriott doesn’t do that, so hardly a surprise. Is there valet service? — No! Covid! Do you have to pay for parking? — Uh, yeah. That’s standard at most downtown hotels throughout the US. So, basically, if you’re looking for a good night’s sleep and a nice room to chill in while you’re not busy doing whatever you’re in Orlando to do, this is an excellent choice. We won’t hesitate to stay here again whenever we’re back in town.

I tend to hold Marriott to a high bar, since their brand is known for excellent customer service and unbeatable, clean rooms. I was really disappointed about my stay here. I was in town for a wedding, expecting to be on the same floor as others in our party, but for some reason we were placed on a floor with groups of college students who don’t understand courtesy when people are trying to sleep. Moreover, my room did not have complimentary earplugs as they noted on the sign on the dresser. I was 3 months pregnant at that time, and I was part of a wedding party, hoping to get some rest for the long day ahead. Not even close. I called the front desk multiple times, and the college students would not stop going in and out of each other’s rooms, slamming doors, congregating in the hallways. The front desk told me that they were going out, so the noise should quiet down. This was around midnight. Three hours later, the college kids come back and are as loud as ever. Why doesn’t this hotel have a noise policy for quiet hours of the night ? Why didn’t they care about the other guests who wanted peace and quiet? For a Marriott, this was really disappointing. It could have been better.

Stayed here for work and I have to say that it exceeded my expectations. When I heard it was downtown Orlando, I wasn't sure what I was expecting but the staff were very nice and the hotel was actually very well kept and most importantly quiet. Even if the hotel is aging a bit, I think the value offered is great highly recommend staying here though you will be a bit far from most touristy attractions.

The hotel was so incredibly Marriott type-case, it is headache producing.
This hotel is literally every generic Marriott aspect in the world in a microcosm.
It was not bad and it was not eye catching.
We were here for a meeting throughout the week and there was almost remarkable about this hotel but it served the purpose well. What was remarkable, their catering staff was exceptional. They were friendly, personable, and reactive. This was what stood out.
At check in, the front desk people seemed more focused on talking to each other than checking people in but it is what it is.
The room included everything you would expect and I honestly could not tell it apart from the multitudes of other Marriott Hotels I have stayed in so the chances are, you have stayed in one of these rooms before and you know what to expect during your stay. So much, I cannot think of what to say other than there is a reasonably comfortable bed, alarm clock, shower, door knob, and all.
We got breakfast with our event so i cannot comment on the breakfast at hotel for guests but our food was very good. There was some muffins that were terribly undercooked but once they were caught, they were taken away. More of a porridge than a cake unfortunately.
There is an M club but I am not cool enough to enter it and a lot of bathrooms. There were a ton of people smoking on the pool deck but I just went out to look at it and the hotel is nonsmoking. There is a train too that passes by the odd side of the building I think and my colleague switched rooms to avoid it but it did not bother me and I was on the tenth floor.
Overall great hotel without any surprises aside from remarkable catering staff and nice venue.

the old saying goes people do not quit they're job they quit they're manager same can be said of why people go or stop going to certain hotels its the employees and what they do to enrich our experiences. As a lifetime titanium Elite with Marriot I have lots of choices to stay in Orlando, Elizabeth Rodgers your front end supervisor goes above and beyond to make sure myself and my team ( I usually bring 5 - 10 folks with me ) have the best experience possible when we travel to Orlando. Keep her because if she transferred to another property in town I would try that property.

I stay in a Marriott around 100 nights a year, so have some experience with them. I stayed at this one last week for work, and have nothing but good things to say.
1. Great elite lounge! Good food for breakfast and dinner, polite and courteous staff, and even a sparkling water machine.
2. Great gym—even includes weights.
3. Rooms are spacious and comfortable; I never had to wait for an elevator to get to mine either.
4. Convenient location—it’s within a few blocks of downtown Orlando restaurants and nightlife.
5. Onsite hotel bar is great—food and drinks are good and reasonably priced(including a great happy hour with free food), and the sports bar theme makes it a great place to hang out even alone.
Not a “resort style” hotel by any means like others in the area, but a great place to spend the night for business or a visit.

This hotel is in a horrible location between a freeway and a rail track. To get to the historic part of downtown you have go through a horrible underpass. The hotel is fine, if bland. The bar area was messy with lots of used glasses all over the place. The walls were thin so I could the person next door having a phone conversation. WiFi costs 14.95 per day and parking $28 dollars.

Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay with us at the Marriott Orlando Downtown Hotel. The hotel is located in an up and coming part of Downtown Orlando, it is called the Creative Village area that includes the Downtown UCF and Valencia College Campus. I wanted to let you know, that the hotel continues to share feedback with the City of Orlando to assist with the unfriendly challenges, especially with the Underpass that you are speaking about. I will share this feedback along with sharing your items with our hotel leadership team, so we can continue to improve on our guest experience at the hotel. Thank you for sharing and I'm sorry you did not have a better experience. If you travels bring you back to Orlando, please feel free to contact me directly to assist you. Safe travels......

My first impression of this property was very favorable. This is obviously an older Marriott property that has undergone a really nice refurbishment. Everything is updated from the lobby to the rooms to the M Club.
I am a Bonvoy Platinum elite. I checked in on the mobile app and was pleasantly surprised that I was checked in promptly, however none of my room requests were met. High floor away from elevator are my preferences. High floor isn't a big deal but I was placed in a room directly adjacent to the elevator with no platinum upgrade.
The room was very nice and updated and I was really happy with how well they had updated the rooms.
My main gripe with this property was the poorly managed M Club with embarrassing food options. The breakfast was adequate and in line with most other M Clubs, however the evening hors d'oeuvres were embarrassing. On the Saturday evening of my stay the evening hors d'oeuvres were put out an hour late and when they finally were put out, the offering was frozen chicken strips (think kids meal at a restaurant) that were cold and the worst hard waffles that were obviously left over from breakfast (they serve the same waffles at breakfast). They were hard and cold. The person who set up the hors d'oeuvres didn't put out ANY serving utensils for any of the offerings. They also had very small platters of cheese, crackers and meats. There were so few crackers put out that they were gone in a minute. The person who set up the food went back to the front desk and never returned.
The one other embarrassing miss for Marriot and their M Clubs is that they require guests to pay for drinks in the M Club. What a blow to their most loyal guests. Other competing brands offer complimentary evening happy hours.
Overall this is a decent property, but they really need to step up their evening hors d'oeuvres game.
