Loews Royal Pacific Resort garners appreciation for its themed design and prime location near Universal Parks, with the ease of park access via walking or shuttle being a particular highlight among guests. However, the rooms come under scrutiny for being outdated and not well insulated from noise, with mixed reviews about cleanliness and maintenance.
While the service receives commendation for its friendliness, housekeeping inconsistencies have been a point of contention. Despite some concerns over noise and additional charges, the inclusive express passes are often cited as a key factor in the resort's value proposition.

We booked the hotel for one night purely to take advantage of 2 days if express passes for Universal. We kept our luggage at our other hotel, left there at 7 AM and headed to Loewes with 2 overnight rucksacks.
Even though it was early, many people have the same idea and it was mega busy so husband waited in the line to checkin and I joined the line for bag drop. Took about half an hour but we soon had our room key, which doubles as your express pass (take a lanyard to put it in, makes it much easier for scanning at ride queues) and made our way down to the queue for security. We made an error here and walked, forgetting people's advice to take the boat. So there was a long queue to get through security which may have been shorter had we opted for the boat (this could have been solely due to the sheer volume of people with it being spring break). Once we'd finished in the park we headed back to the hotel to enjoy some pool time. Pool area is lovely, with plenty of pool loungers, noodles and balls in the pool and a snack / bar area.
Our room was xxx overlooking a small lake and car park. We had a king size bed with sofa bed for our Daughter. Room was large with huge TV, desk, fridge, coffee machine, safe and large shower. Beds and bedding were extremely comfortable and there must have been good sound proofing as we heard nothing all night and had a really good sleep. Small individual bottles if shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion were provided, with a simple call / text message to reception if you needed them replenishing.
We chose to eat at Jack's within the hotel for our evening meal, expensive but we enjoyed it. We didn't get a lot of time to fully explore the hotel but the areas we saw were beautiful, it really is in a stunning setting, very peaceful and tranquil despite being on the Universal grounds.
Breakfast wasn't included and we personally found the prices in the onsite shop quite expensive so got the boat over to Universal (shorter security check) and grabbed hot drinks and hot croissants from Starbucks on city walk.
Although close to £700 per night we would definitely stay at the hotel again purely for the express pass to Universal as this did save us a fair amount as you get 2 day passes.

I’m home and I’m sad and already miss the smell of the hotel lobby!
From start to finish this hotel was everything we could’ve hoped for! We stayed 5 days at drury plaza first for Disney springs and then moved over to this hotel for universal. I had booked this hotel for the express passes a they’re worth their weight in gold! But also loved the look of the theming and the ease of getting to the parks. We arrived in the evening and the staff were super welcoming, check in was busy but quick, the staff member talked through the passes, the amenities and map etc. she mentioned to have a $200 per room per night hold for any charges to the room but I politely declined as didn’t wish to be charging to the room and it was no issue, they just have a card on file and charge a hold of £1 to the card. Also get given pretty flower leis to wear to complete the tropical theming. The rooms are beautiful, not huge but 2 queen beds and we had 2 interconnected rooms for 5 of us, in the 3rd tower on 2nd floor which was great for easy pool access etc. Real clean and the decor through the hotel is so lovely as are the staff, very friendly. Star of the show is the water taxis that take you to the parks, come very often and such a nice 5 min float down stream to city walk and the parks. For volcano bay there’s a shuttle bus, don’t try and walk like we did else you get very lost when you end up at the other hotels! Luckily the shuttle bus was right there when we left volcano bay so didn’t have attempt the walk back! The pool is lovely as are the two hot tubs and stays open until 11pm with towels provided, there’s activities through the day but we tended to go in the pool in the evenings after a park day! We didn’t try the food at the hotel apart from the tuktuk shop as was always out during the day or ate out, also got an Uber to Walmart to get room snacks and drinks as there’s a fridge in room. But the food at the pool bar and jaks diner looked great. Wish we would’ve spent more time in the hotel, next time would probably do 7 days instead of 5 for this side of the Orlando parks to be able to relax in the hotel a little more!

This hotel makes you feel like you were instantly transported to a luxury tropical oasis. The entrance, lobby and pool area are stunning. I brought my three teenagers with me and it was so nice seeing how in awe of the hotel’s beauty they were, because they’re hard to impress. The Tuk Tuk market sells Starbucks coffee which they loved. The sushi restaurant has amazing sushi and it’s so beautiful that we couldn’t stop taking pictures. If you want a special non-alcoholic drink there I highly recommend the Royal Orchid. It was delicious. The breakfast buffet was expensive, but it was worth it because there was a really wide variety of options and made to order omelets. The hotel also includes free express passes at Universal, which was a great perk and the ferry to get to and from the park was so convenient. We could also walk to the park entrance in about 7 minutes which was nice.

Great location and express pass perks but this hotel is not a luxury hotel. The rooms are decent, even on the small side, but not bad. The hall ways were being refreshed with plaster and paint and so I believe this is why the hallways weren't properly vacuumed. On the last day, all the work was done, but the hallways still were full of drywall/plaster dust. Perhaps their vacuum cleaner isn't working well. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean. The counterpanes seemed worn though and the carpeting has seen better days. The room had not been properly vacuumed or dusted prior to our arrival. We paid for three adults but the coffee was set up with two coffee pods, on tea pod and one decaf coffee pod with four creamers. I texted for more at the front desk and they brough up three of each with lots of creamers and sugars. We were given four large bath towels, no face cloths and four hand towels. The next day the maid left two bath towels and three hand towels. We texted the front desk and they brought up two more towels, a bath mat and a face cloth. We were fine with that. We at Jakes Bar, at the hotel and ordered the family style brisket. It was very tasty and we ate it all, but it was luke warm, at best, verging on cold. We didn't send it back but did let the server know that we would have preferred it hot. We made full use of the express passes and early entry at the Universal parks. This was the full reason to book at this hotel. Overall, our stay was okay. I think next time we will only book for one night and take advantage of the two days of early entry and express passes for two days, they stay at another less expensive hotel for the first and last night of a three day visit. We really only needed two full days at the park to ride all the rides and see what we wanted to see.

First impressions were amazing. Even thinking of rebooking as I’m a travel agent and was only discussing with a potential about how good the hotel was and the lobby was beautiful. The garden and the water feature.
For us to find human feces in our bed after a day at the park. I was shocked and disgusted, my son was about to dive into it as I pulled sheets back for him to go to bed. We booked a night for the fast pass and for me to review for my work page. I rang concierge straight away and he was mortified he didn’t know what to say, he sent house keeping manager up she came within 10-15 minutes and she apologised I think she also took photos and told me it was unacceptable and she’d contact front desk for compensation. Not long after a maid came to change the bed, it had soaked to the mattress topper I didn’t see on mattress but surely the mattress should’ve been cleaned or something?? as she was changing the bed, Wayne from the desk rang me and said he could offer free breakfast, we’re off straight to park so I told him this and he said ok, Then he said he’d refund 50 percent. I got off phone told my husband what he had said and obviously wasn’t happy. We’re British so rather polite with anything and don’t ever wanna cause any fuss and we’re not fussy people but this was just disgusted the room was obviously not cleaned. We were not offered a room change it was 9-10pm at night after a day at park and then pool so we were so tired. My husband went downstairs and Wayne took him off to side to discuss and wasn’t really fussed he told us to email and all he could offer is what he had offered.
Mean while the house keeping manager came back and asked if the second bed was ok, now in my head I’d be thinking this bed hasn’t been changed so surely this one hasn’t. So she started to check it and then was like no no and then stripped that bed obviously dirty as well. She then replaced towels, no sides been cleaned or anything. Surely you’d deep clean a room if you found it in that state? I am still shocked and not slept my children didn’t want to sleep in the beds so there’s 3 of us in one bed and husband in the bed that feces was in.
To top it off after posting on a media page someone had commented saying they had issues last month not to our extent but they were giving free breakfast and 50 percent refund for unkept room as broken sink in working tv and stains on curtains. We had literal human poop in our bed doesn’t even come in par!
Safe to say I will not be recommended this hotel and I will be informing everyone I can about this experience to avoid this hotel. You can’t change what’s happened but definitely hotel had chance to change the outcome and our experience. We have 7 days left of our holiday I really hope we don’t end up with a stomach virus from this.

This is a beautiful, large hotel with friendly staff members. We stayed in a king suite in tower 1. The bedroom was stuffy and warm. We figured out that the air conditioning wasn’t working in that room after two warm nights (the living room had good air conditioning that cooled the suite until we would close the bedroom door.) They fixed the air conditioning quickly after we reported it. The suite had nice decor and a bathroom that had the shower and toilet separate from the sink and mirror, perfect for multiple people getting ready for the day’s adventures at one time. The pool area was lovely, but we didn’t get to use it as much as we wanted due to stormy weather. The food at the pool was excellent. I had a salad, my husband had the pork bbq sandwich, my daughter had the turkey wrap and my son had the pizza. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. The most fabulous part of staying here is the express pass. Getting those for the four of us for extremely hot days was priceless. I couldn’t imagine standing in lines for an hour in the Florida summer heat and humidity. If you have a family of four, the room is worth the express passes! While not a five star experience, we had a very good time.

Hotel location & Express theme park access were the key reasons for booking this hotel. Lobby was clean and always smelled wonderful. However, the rooms were not resort level. Room/bathroom were dated, shower pressure was super weak. In room coffee maker was super dirty and didn’t use it. Access to park was very close by walking depending on the tower of your room location. Ferry boat was good if your room was close to pool/tower 3. Sushi/bar restaurant was always busy and needed more staff to cover the amount of guests. Vacation planning center for your tickets were conveniently in the lobby. Housekeeping were fantastic throughout our 6 day stay.

This hotel is perfect if you're doing the Parks all day.....walking distance away or water taxi. The shuttle bus for Volcano Bay is on site too and was perfect. We had a family room which was a good size but we just struggled to dry anything after getting wet in the rain as windows didn't open but that's not a complaint, just a fact. Beds and pillows super comfortable. Pool great and manned by about 10 lifeguards which is good but can be quite overbearing too as you feel constantly watched but I like the level of safety for families. We ate in the hotel restaurant Jake's on a night that was rainy and food was good and service good, just the decor a bit dowdy but its supposed to represent a certain scene so I get it, but it just didn't feel atmospheric. I would recommend using the Tuk Tuk shop on site for breakfast and coffee, we only used this once as we went out to the parks early and ate there but I would have taken breakfast with us if I would have known the value and quality. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, its expensive but the express passes are definitely worth it, and location is fab. You have to expect to pay Universal prices here as you would anywhere within the Parks.

Lovely hotel - comfortable, clean but a bit dated. The staff at the front desks are really friendly and professional. They are eager to help!
Pros: booking at this hotel entitles you to fast passes on the rides at Universal if you have park tickets! Also easy to access Universal via water taxi or a short walk. Its a time saver and very convenient. You also get to access the park 1hr before the general public. We as a family had 2 double beds in the room - it was a bit tight but we only slept there so was fine for us.
For the kids there is a smallish pool and arcade games.
There is a small coffee shop serving Starbucks coffee and several other conveniences which was great.
Hotel inside was very quiet so got a good nights rest. Comfortable stay, clean, few restaurants on site, few shops around the hotel so the location is good. Quite convenient. The super helpful staff are easy to communicate with and really try to help with everything. The mailroom even assisted me in returning my amazon package that arrived post my departure. Life guards at the pool really strict about water safety which was great - no kids being naughty
Cons: No bottled water in the room (you have to buy - there are 2 bottles that carry an additional service charge if consumed). Rooms a bit dated. Cellphone reception was poor. Pool was small and noisy - music plays the whole day. Water taxi also noisy - music always playing. Expensive! We opted to have no meals at the hotel (aside from a small poolside snack). Service fee/tip automatically included in these meals. At the pool the service fee automatically added to the bill even if just drinks.
Otherwise, really good stay and a good option if you are visiting Universal

I googled this
"The club level menu at Loews Royal Pacific Resort in Orlando, Florida includes:
Continental breakfast
Served daily from 7–10 AM, this includes cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, pastries, donuts, fresh fruit, milk, orange juice, apple juice, coffee, and tea
Afternoon snacks
Available daily from 12–3 PM, these include peanuts, cheese crackers, Uncrustables, chips, and fresh fruit
Royal relaxation
Available from 5–7 PM, this includes items like Hoisin Chicken Bao Buns, Hummus box, Turkey and Cheese Sandwiches, beer, and wine
Something sweet
Available from 8–9 PM, this includes homemade cookies, cupcakes, and brownies
Drinks
Available all day, this includes coffee, teas, cocoa, bottled water, and soft drinks
Club-level guests also have access to the Royal Club Lounge, which is located on the 7th floor and offers personal concierge services."
I would definitely do this as it would save money for breakfast
There are more places to choose from in the Orlando area.
